A very nice hotel. We were in from out of town and stayed a few nights late last week. Rooms and bed were very nice. There isn’t much around the hotel within walking distance, but Uber was easy to access there. The young lady on the day shift (from Queens) and the manager/barkeep at night (said he’s 27) were insanely nice and friendly. Wonderful to talk to, accommodating with anything we needed, and smiling every time we walked up. I would stay here again. 👍🏻
Would have liked to explore the area a little more but it was just an overnight, dark and rainy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite a good size, we ha a king with sofa. It also had a microwave, coffee maker, fridge, etc. My main complaint was the bathroom. It was one of those where the sink was outside the toilet and shower area and I am so not a fan of that. Plus the lighting in the toilet/shower room was poor and the shower itself was just fair. Other than that, the place itself was well located and it seemed to have a nice gym
We had a nice stay here while visiting the area for a few days. Though it wasn't quite up to par from other Hyatt Places I have had the ability to stay at. For one, the refrigerator was a mini fridge that was not very cool, which doesn't work for my medications and had to leave them with the front desk, which is not ideal, as I'd rather have better control on possession of my medications. Also, the hotel was nosier than I usually experience. We could hear the elevator frequently, even though we didn't border the elevator. Also, we heard all sorts of details of what was occurring in the bathroom next door. Though the place was clean and the staff was very friendly.
I usually do not leave reviews, however, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly. I want to emphasis how clean the rooms were! The breakfast was alright. The check in/out process was smooth. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Pro: friendly staff, breakfast is standard and included.
Con: Like many other standard hotels, the room has no soundproofing. I could even hear water running through the pipes in the wall whenever someone upstairs used the bathroom.
The wallpaper in the shower was extremely dirty. The area around the toilet tissue in the bathroom was rusty. The curtains were messed up. The elevator sounded like it was going to break. The breakfast in the morning was very plain. For what the hotel charges a night, the hotel could be a lot better. The front desk rep was nice and kind. The location was decent, it was a straight shot to our destination.
Sketchy area but felt safe inside. Room was comfortable and clean. Elevator was out of service and they would not change our room. Room key stopped working and attitude from front desk. Stair well was flithy. Breakfast was same thing every morning microwave biscuit sandwich or waffle were only hot options. Toast, muffins, cereal and yogurts. Will not visit again.
The whole place is very dim (probably so you don’t see how gross it is) and my mattress had a large stain that looked like it could have been a blood stain. The elevators had a 2 person limit and sounded like they were about to snap while the only handicap accessible rooms were on the top floor. The whole third floor reeked of mildew and felt very damp, all the stairwells had the doors propped open with various items (old lamps, balled up towels, etc). There were random people just hanging out in the parking lot all night long. “Breakfast” was basically just toast and cereal. At least I didn’t find bed bugs lol
The worst experience I've had at a hotel in a very long time. I booked 2 rooms (201 and 215) for 1 night. Literally... 1 night. Room 215 was fine but room 201's water was shut off. We told the front desk lady MReyno, and she sent someone to turn it back on. About 4 hours later... the toilet backed up and flooded the entire bathroom. We told the front desk personnel MReyno, and she gave us a PLUNGER. When that didn't work, we went to MReyno again and she said someone will be up to assist. No one came. We slept in a room full of raw sewage.
The next morning came and I brought up the situation to the new front desk personnel ZHinto. She proceeds to tell me that she knew nothing of what happened and only the building manager can give us a refund for the sewer room. I left my info for the manager. 2 days went by, and no one called. So I called back and got the Assistant Manager Tyson. He was the nastiest and most uncouth person I've ever talked to. I've gotten better treatment from a crab.
We went back and forth about the hotel policy. We were supposed to get another room but at no point did his employee, MReyno, offer us another room. After he hung up on me for pointing that out, I was offered a discount on my next stay. Why would I come back? I insisted that I speak to the actual manager. You know...the person I was guaranteed to get a call from when I checked out. He said he will pass my info on.
Here I am, over a week later and still no call. DO NOT STAY HERE.
I will say that the staff at this hotel is amazing - super friendly, and were quick to assist us. Upon check in (which was fast and pleasant), we were put in room 302. The elevator holds 2 people at a time, and when in it you understand why - it squealed, squeaked, jolted, and paused its way to the third floor so unsteadily that we took the stairs for the rest of the visit. When we entered the room, it smelled overwhelmingly of urine, there was hair and a brown substance covering the wall near the bathroom, and the AC vents were literally covered in mold. We turned around and went back downstairs immediately - my husband showed them a tissue where he had wiped slimy mold off the AC. The front desk swapped us to room 320 - an accessible room - at once, apologized, and told us an HVAC tech would come out the following week to deep clean the units. Upon arrival to the new room, we noticed the smell was much better and the room appeared cleaner, but not really CLEAN - table by the TV had pizza sauce on it - but we weren't about to complain over something so minor after the horror show in the first room. It was sufficient for sleeping with clean linens, so we made do. Shower and bathroom was clean and the night was quiet. I agree with other views that the area is not ideal, nor does it feel particularly safe - there are certainly better areas of Raleigh. I can't speak to the quality of breakfast, as we agreed we didn't want to risk it given the state of the hotel rooms and grounds. The staff are the bright point of this hotel, but we won't be returning. There are better options for the price in Raleigh.
