Verified reviews of Winston-Salem hotels with hot tub
Wonderful customer service and clean rooms. I went to Winston-Salem for work and stayed at this hotel multiple times throughout the month. Paris was very kind, and he remembered me from my first stay. He answered any questions I threw his way and also gave me some information about the city, as it was my first time visiting. Thank you, Paris!
My family and I stayed here the 9th and 10th of March. Everything was fantastic. From the room to the breakfast to interactions with employees. Speaking of employees, Mrs. Pat was amazing. Super friendly and attentive for making sure breakfast was on point. The hotel is perfectly located near so many establishments. The only down side would be traffic in the area but that has nothing to do with the hotel.
I'd like to thank Lisa, Paris, and the other receptionist. Great customer service and friendly. They checked me in quick and easy. Especially after a long drive, the little things matter.
This hotel and its staff was wonderful, but the one staff member of this hotel who stood out to me the most is Mrs. Pat in the kitchen ♡ she was so loving and caring to my parents, son, and I. She was absolutely outstanding! Her heartwarming smile and upbeat personality is everything! It was very heart breaking when we left this morning, my son even gave her big hug goodbye. Whenever we come back to North Carolina, I will have to make sure to book here again! Thank you Mrs. Pat for spoiling my son! ♡ you really a angel sent for heaven ♡♡
From my first impression at the front desk, Tricia was fantastic and very welcoming. Oh my her cookies. Also, I met the manager Candice she is younger lady; very professional, knowledgeable, and top-level. Everyone’s in this hotel is excellent through to the breakfast, Housekeeping staff in our room and all hotel, everything spotless. Like guests, we feel everyone is helpful and provide service at the most high level. Congratulations!! Excellent job! Blessing and success to all of you!
Always a great place to stay. Clean, well priced, and friendly staff. The gal in the breakfast area makes breakfast with waking up in the morning. Well stocked and clean!
This hotel is incredibly clean. The staff is AMAZING, so kind and friendly. And the breakfast selections are really fantastic. I stay at hotels regularly, and I was very impressed by this property. It is an older building, but it is extremely well kept. We'll stay here the next time we're in town!
The reviews I read before my trip to Winston Salem were so on point "wonderful" was correct. My stay was absolutely splendid the kind lady name "Ebony" was "super great" she greeted me with a welcoming smile and checked me in promptly and welcomed me to check back with her with anything needed to make my stay the best experience. My room was very clean and comfortable the restroom was spotless. The staff throughout the facility was kind and they greeted you appropriately when you see them throughout the facility. The staff preparing the breakfast were kind as well just a super great experience thank you so much and please continue this fabulous service to the public and whoever management is, much credit to you too for caring for your guests stay at your location. I shall return on my next business trip. P.S. your service is second to none. I stay in many hotels from state to state during the year and trust me others need to take a page from your book not calling any names main "Marriott City Center" in Newport News, Virginia for all that money.
AVOID this is not your average Hilton Honors hotel! Hot tub/ jacuzzi don’t work, fireplace outside lounge area don’t work, housekeeping will wake you up with the other rooms slamming, front desk is no help when you complain and will make errors on your account and charge you for them The hotel looks like a ran down crack motel with the workers to match it. NEVER AGAIN and the pool will burn your eyes take your kids elsewhere save yourself.
Coworker recommended hotel specifically for the pool/water slides! The room was clean -and I am picky. But some of the little things were missing (a TV channel guide, no spare roll of toilet paper, only enough towels for two people). It's a great room for a traveler. Breakfast was hot, plentiful and the waffle station was clean (waffle stations get messy really quick if not maintained). I get the feeling they are short of staff, but the staff is trying terribly hard. So the pool - the kids had a great time! The slides were great fun. There were plenty of towels, but they were very small. Maybe bring your own towels. It looked very clean, except the stairs to the slides.
This was our second stay here at this hotel and we love it. We come exclusively for the pool and water slides. Our kids (and us) love to come spend the evening and next morning of our stay playing. The hotel staff is always super friendly, the breakfast area was well stocked, and the room was nothing fancy but fine for what we needed. They had some Easter eggs at the counter for the kiddos while we were there. We will definitely be going back!
Really enjoyed our stay here! Easy to find hotel. We had a speedy check in with Dawn who was so friendly and kind making sure we had everything we needed. The pool was open til 10 and we enjoyed every minute of the pool, hot tub and slide! Our room was very spacious, huge bathroom and was really surprised to see a shampoo bottle in the shower! When we woke up we had a hot breakfast. We made our own waffles (red velvet and plain!) Eggs, bacon, oat meal, cereal, yogurt and more. Checking out was a easy process. The staff was so friendly and kind to my kids. We will definitely return and recommend
Had a great time with our grandkids. The staff was very friendly and everything was as expected. The kids loved the pool and the slides. Coffee was always available and the breakfast was very good. The dining area is well done and comfortable. While we did not use the outdoor fireplace, the area was another attractive part of the property. All-in-all, the staff and property made our trip quite enjoyable.
I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool is fun for kids and adults alike. There is a small arcade and a very nice workout room. Hotel breakfast is exceptional for a small hotel. Unique breakfast choices made fresh every morning by Ms. Kaye who is so delightful I wished we had more time! Dawn and Octavia at the front desk were so friendly and accommodating. We were trying to figure out how to let my baby nephew nap after check out time and while they were fully booked and needed the room, Octavia tried to help accommodate us by offering a conference room that was not in use. We had a lovely stay and we will absolutely return again! Highly recommend.
My friends and I booked the Wilbraham very last minute after our flights to Florida got cancelled, and we are so glad we did! The staff was very kind, and the mansion was so beautiful. We had a great time sitting on the porch and swimming in the indoor pool. We loved the breakfast and the baked goods at tea time each day. The location was also perfect. We walked to the beach, restaurants, shops, and only had to use the car for a few out of town excursions. There was so much to do in Cape May we wished we could stay even longer. I will definitely be back again.
I recently called to make a change to a reservation, since I was no longer able to go on my trip. When I asked if I might be able to make a change of the guests, the person on the line just hung up on me. While I understand sticking to policies, I cannot endorse this location due the abruptness of the hang up and unwillingness to help me figure out an alternative vacation plan.
Firstly, this was my first experience at a bed and breakfast. My son and I absolutely loved it here. The rooms in the mansion are cozy and authentic. The service was phenomenal. I can't thank Chris and Doug enough for accommodating my 12 year old when it came to the bikes, especially knowing that not many kids come to this location. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area as well as the heated indoor pool, what a plus. I want to take a moment also to say that all the staff were extremely kind and pleasant. Breakfast was awesome. Tea time is great as well. I highly recommend the Wilbraham Mansion to anyone who is looking for a quiet space on vacation, close to the beach and center square but far enough from all the hustle and bustle of beach life. Thank you again for a phenomenal time.
This was such an amazing experience! My husband and I always wanted to try a Bed and Breakfast! Well I looked up places in Cape May with an indoor pool-and this ended up being the perfect fit!!! So much old historic character everywhere, yet, all the most updated personal desires; most beautiful 2 person Jacuzzi Tub, a huge shower for two. All the updated plumbing with all the historic character!!! So cool, so clean, and you actually feel like you are a guest in their home. If I had to reach for a complaint-it was trying to work the Direct TV lol And as I was telling Chris at Checkout, he assured me to mention it to him next time, and he will help with to navigate it. We will be going back as often as possible, as this was one of the most comfortable, simple, easy, and pleasant romantic weekends we had in ages❤️
This weekend my husband and I stayed there for the 4th time ! We absolutely love the Wilbraham! We love staying in the original house! Chris is absolutely wonderful, made as feel at home as always! Breakfast was a 5 star ! We will most definitely return in the spring! Thank you John & Diane DaSilva
My friend and I stayed here last week. We loved that we were able to check in at 1pm with no hassle. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in room 1 which was spacious yet cozy. Breakfast was really good too. I didn't take advantage of the snack time since me and my friend were out and about but it sounded delicious. There was ample parking and it was close to a lot of things so we were able to walk around. I would definitely stay here again.
I stay here every year with my partner. It's a very laid-back place with good breakfast, though I wish the portions were bigger. They offer beach tags, beach chairs, and bikes with your stay. They also have outdoor showers. Everything is within walking distance; CVS, ice cream, pancake restaurant, liquor store, tea shop, other restaurants, beach (15 min walk). I love the in-room jacuzzi's in the suites buildings. Heated indoor pool is nice, but it feels like it should have more furniture in there.
As a family…we loved everything about Wilbraham! The charm of the BBB, great service…especially the daily top notch breakfast! What sets this place apart from BBB is the indoor pool! Definitely will be returning!
I am writing this review with a heavy heart and lingering disappointment, following an unfortunate experience at the Wilbraham Mansion in Cape May, NJ. A stay that was initially intended to be a joyous, peaceful retreat swiftly spiraled into a distressing ordeal that ended with us being asked to vacate our room due to the presence of our toddler. I feel it's only fair to forewarn other potential visitors, especially those with young children, about the non-inclusive policies and uncompromising attitudes we encountered during our stay.
Upon arrival, after a 3 hour drive, the charm and elegance of the 19th-century architecture were indeed impressive, creating a beautiful backdrop for what we had anticipated would be an idyllic family getaway. Regrettably, the aesthetics of the mansion and its ambiance, however enchanting, could not compensate for the unwelcome reception that awaited us.
Although the Wilbraham Mansion's policy of not accommodating children below the age of 12 was not clearly communicated to us at the time of booking, the management did not consider this a sufficient reason to exhibit any form of understanding or compromise. We were taken aback by their rigid stance and their apparent lack of interest in retaining us as guests. Our excitement was quickly replaced by a feeling of indignation when we were asked to leave the premises.
Throughout our brief time there, we found the staff to be unfriendly, unaccommodating, and surprisingly insensitive to our situation. Rather than exploring possible solutions or offering alternatives, we were met with a cold, uncompromising response that resulted in an abrupt and undeserved end to our vacation.
Furthermore, in an era where many establishments strive to embrace inclusivity and accommodate guests of all ages, Wilbraham Mansion's stringent policy seems anachronistic and impractical. It is disheartening that they have chosen to exclude an entire demographic, potentially alienating many prospective guests who, like us, wish to share the beauty of historic Cape May with their children.
Finally, it is worth noting that the inconvenience caused by this ordeal extended beyond the emotional toll. The sudden need to find alternative accommodations put a financial strain on our trip that could have been avoided with better communication and more accommodating policies from the establishment. After driving 3 hours, I intended to enjoy a nice weekend with my wife (who is 8 months pregnant) and my toddler. I was in disbelief at how we were kicked out of our room the moment we went into it just because we have our toddler with us. I noted that in the booking, and never received any communication against it.
In conclusion, my experience at Wilbraham Mansion was a harsh deviation from the warm, welcoming atmosphere typically associated with bed-and-breakfast establishments. The mansion's uncompromising adherence to a restrictive and poorly-communicated policy has led to this one-star review. Until they reconsider their approach to families and refine their communication regarding age restrictions, I would advise prospective guests, especially those with young children, to look elsewhere for accommodation in Cape May.
We stayed here for the first time at the mansion last year and it was amazing! Love the vibe of the place. The cakes they always had out were so good, the pool was warm, the jet tub was really clean, and the bikes were great for a day on. We will be staying here again next month for my birthday and im really looking forward to it. Highly recommend!
I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff at Wilbraham Mansion!!!! The owners were beyond fantastic during the booking process and were able to send info about local restaurants and things to do. Upon check in, we met Chris who was so incredibly accommodating and made the process SOOOOO easy. We were so surprised at all the history and exquisite details throughout the mansion. Our Suite was clean and welcoming with a wonderful selection of soaps and shampoos along with fresh clean towels and wash cloths. The two person jacuzzi in suite made for just the relaxation we needed for an early Valentine's surprise for my Fiancé and I!! She was sooooo beyond excited. The tea time was fantastic with such a nice selection, followed by a wonderful afternoon sitting on the porch which was warm and inviting on a chilly afternoon.
They even have nice bikes available that were a great way to explore town a bit and see some sites.
The kitchen is available with fully stocked items and microwaves for the popcorn we bought. The
The pool was warm and VERY clean with fresh towels provided there also.
The morning breakfast was a wonderful treat with (a family historic recipe from their mother) French toast with sausage links and eggs along with fresh fruit and muffins on the tables!!
I meant what I said when I could go on and on and on!! Bottom line is GO see the staff and you will NOT be disappointed!!
My fiance and I decided before we even left that we will be making this our annual Valentine's get away!!
We came here for our 25th anniversary. We are seasoned visitors to Cape May and this was our first stay at Wilbraham. Loved the location, as we walked to literally everything. We stayed in the oversized suite in the newer building. It did not disappoint. Total Victorian luxury with modern amenities. The heated pool, double shower with awesome water pressure, jacuzzi and fantastic bed were all just perfect. The owners were polite and helpful. Breakfast was good. They accommodate dietary restrictions too. We will definitely come back. I see some reviewers had some complaints but that was not our experience.
We love staying here! Everything is perfect, romantic, luxurious and relaxing. The owners and staff are very accommodating. They always go above and beyond. We came down to Cape May to get married on the beach and came back to have photos taken on the property. Doug and Joanne are wonderful and helped to make our wedding dreams come true. Staff Joanna was helpful and pleasant at check in as well. We enjoy the 24 hour pool, early check in, late checkout, the delicious breakfast (especially the quiche), the two person in-room jacuzzi, the provided bikes, beach chairs, and the Victorian style decor. (Many more accommodations too long to list.) This place is a home away from home with much added luxury. Don’t look any further.
My fiancé and I spent 7 days at the Wilbraham Mansion during our vacation to Cape May. We were extremely impressed by the accommodations and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect-- within walking distance to all the cute shops and popular restaurants and to the beach! It was so nice not having to drive to go out every day. The room was old fashioned, but that's the theme of this place. Everything was nice and clean. We stayed in a suite (there are two buildings, the main mansion and the back where the suites are) and loved the jacuzzi tub. We had free hot breakfast every morning and access to the kitchen, which they keep stocked with bottled water, juice and random snacks. Also has an indoor heated pool, which we definitely took advantage of. We loved staying here and are excited to come next summer!
