Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The morning breakfast and evening wine and cheese were lovely, and the staff were all so accomodating. Nice walking paths in the area plus close to the beach and restaurants. This will be our new go-to place when visiting the area.
Algunos aspectos a mejorar:
- shampoo y gel de baño insuficientes (pedimos en recepción y nos recargaron muy poco).
- el desayuno era algo escaso y repetitivo porque llevaban meses con la cocina cerrada debido a unas reformas.
- notamos cierto trato desigual (inferior) por algún personal de servicio si hablabas en español.
Por lo demás, todo genial 🙂
Muy recomendable.

Possibly less than 10 minutes away from LAX(possible traffic), this place offers incredible customer service. The rooms feel cozy and comfortable almost like you're at home. You may notice some planes as your are fairly close to LAX but you begin to not pay attention even for sleeping through the night

The staff was so nice to us, especially Monica is an absolute angel!

The room was spacious and clean. Nice bathroom.

The hotel has a living room, terrace and patio where you can relax, play games and/or drink some wine.
We really loved to play some checkers and drink some wine after exploring LA.

Free parking and complimentary breakfast. The breakfast is not big, but the quality is great (including fresh fruit and nice coffee)

Incredible service and I would really recommend this place! It's an absolute gem! ⭐️

Fantastic staff at this hotel, friendly and happy to assist in solving any issues that may arise (like say me booking the wrong nights on accident). Breakfasts were ok, I didn't partake in the happy hours, but would gladly stay there again next time I am in the area.

This is a nice hotel, though I expected it to be nicer for the price and they implied they were very near the beach, which is not quite accurate. Also, the included breakfast wasn't very much, though they did provide plant-based milk on request. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and enjoyed the area, especially being next to the beautiful Bollona Reserve.

Not quite as nice as we expected. It has a funky vibe. It’s on a busy corner. Also the “signature” breakfasts are on hold due to some new review. The happy hour was packaged snacks. The cold windy weather probably also affected our reaction. We did have a nice bright big room. The area is very low key. The public spaces are comfortable and friendly.

It’s a beautiful facility. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent! I really enjoyed the hostess reception with wine and cheese.
The breakfast room, and the living room are absolutely beautiful! Sitting next to the wetland reserve was very peaceful even with the noise of the occasional plane flying overhead.
The location is wonderful. Great restaurants close by and a short walk to the beach is a definite plus.
The building is showing a bit of wear and tear. There is some damage from vacuuming. A few bits of drywall were broken around a support pole in room 309. I could see dark spots along the window seat where the vacuum cleaner had been dragged across the baseboard. Paint is peeling off the bathroom door. Stains on the carpet.
A lot of the double pane windows have broken seals, which means they’re foggy in between the two panes of glass making them look dirty. One of the windows had some serious damage to the wood frame.
New carpet and fresh paint would do wonderful things to that room. Replacing the windows would be a great expense, but money well spent.
The door between the sinks in the bathroom and the toilet/shower section is too big. It hits the bathtub and does not open fully. I left a suggestion with one of their associates that a bifold door may be a solution.
The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Another plus is that the water was hot in the shower. I will be back. I would be very happy to enjoy their hospitality again. Everyone who works here is so wonderful.
10/10, definitely would stay here again. This place is cozy and not in the "euphanism for too small" way. I wish we had a day where we just relaxed here. The breakfast was wonderful, there's a beach within walking distance. I loved it.

We were only here for one night - not long enough really - but our short time here was wonderful. Such a beautiful place to stay and the staff so friendly. Our room was excellent and with all the small touches that make your stay memorable. Just gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the complementary wine and cheese tasters. Thanks for making our first night in California so nice.

Boutique hotel in Redondo with another location in Manhattan Beach. Stayed here with my family and they gave us a handicap suite for some reason, although the only thing that made it different was that there was no step into the shower. There was some confusion around the resort fee but essentially we got charged $250 upon check in, of which $160 comprised of the $40 per person resort fee, $80 for overnight valet for one night for two cars, and taxes. Valet parking is mandatory and their closest street spots that aren’t metered are about a 15-20 minute walk. When we checked out, one car had to pay in cash for the partial valet fee while the other car got the fee tacked onto the final charge. They do have beach equipment and bikes you can rent, but we mostly hung at the pool.

The pool was a bit disappointing as it was really small and there was no hot tub. There were lounge chairs that you can walk up to as well as bigger couches with tables that you could reserve. The pool guy was nice and brought us water bottles as it was a hot day.

In terms of the room we had a lot of space and the beds were comfortable. We were able to get extra pillows and dental kits from housekeeping. For each day that you didn’t do cleaning, they donate a portion for environmental causes. There’s a restaurant downstairs and you get a $10 credit for dinner through the hotel if you eat there. There’s a mini fridge filled with drinks for purchase but we were able to fit some leftovers in there.

This place is beautiful. Do yourself a favor, pay the extra money and get a 2nd or 3rd floor room with a view. Sitting out on the balcony, watching the sunset over the marina. So peaceful.
Rooms were nice, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.
Great stay in the South Bay!

Shade Hotel - Redondo Beach, CA

I’m sure with a name like this, it has already been said, but this should actually be called Shady Hotel.

My wife and I wanted to book a quick getaway out of town, away from the city life, somewhere that was along the coast.

We decided to try Redondo Beach because we hadn’t been there yet.

The thing that attracted us to this hotel certainly was not the high price per night ($400+), but it was their rating (now seems to be fabricated) and that they offer a bathtub on the balcony, overlooking the marina - sounds nice right?

We were willing to pay a little extra for something that appeared on the website to be worth it.

Well the outside bathtub was never used because they put us in a room on the ground level with the boardwalk of people walking past our patio.

Sure the blackout curtain on the patio could have been closed, but then we lose the view of the marina, genius.

Our attempt for getting away from the noise and the hustle and bustle of the city failed miserably at this hotel because the adjacent restaurant “Sea Level” had club music blasting in the evening until about 9:45 pm, which was easily heard through the thin doors and walls.

You can also hear your neighbor’s tv or loud conversations through the walls as well, or the guests above you pounding on their floor with every step they take.

Prior to the evening music from the restaurant, we were bombarded by the music, day drinking parties and conversations coming from the docked boats, and the marina foot traffic going in and out of the metal security gate that was constantly slamming closed - we never really enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing retreat we hoped for.

To top it all off, this Shady Hotel “nickel and dimes” the guests $45/night for parking like they are some kind of Vegas resort, plus they charge an “Amenity Inclusion Charge” for amenities whether you use them or not - on top of all this, we never received the dinner credit for dining at the Sea Level restaurant, even though our food was billed to our room, and we never received the bottle of sparkling wine.

I can honestly say I’ve had better overnight stays when staying at a Motel 6.

We stayed one night but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a glass of wine and offered great amenities such as bikes for exploring. I didn't even mind the loud seals in the harbor arguing throughout the night, lol. There are two restaurants within a few feet of the hotel so it was not far from the airport and a very nice experience.
