Blowing Rock Hot Tub Hotels - Quick Guide
Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Blowing Rock, North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mountains
Best Time to Visit
Fall (October–November): Peak season by a wide margin. Blue Ridge Parkway fall foliage in October draws enormous crowds to Blowing Rock and the High Country. Every inn and hotel in town fills up on October weekends. Book 6 to 8 weeks ahead for any October fall color weekend. Mid-week October stays are more manageable.
Summer (June–August): Second most popular season. Blowing Rock's elevation of 4,000 feet makes it a natural summer escape from the Carolina heat. Moses Cone Memorial Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and Grandfather Mountain draw steady visitors. Book 3 to 4 weeks ahead for summer weekends.
Winter (December–February): Ski season at Appalachian Ski Mountain and Sugar Mountain, both within 15 miles. Appalachian Ski Mountain is the closest, walkable from some Main Street properties. Good availability at non-ski weekend nights. New Year's Eve is a notable spike.
Spring (April–May): Quietest and most affordable window. Blooming rhododendrons on the Blue Ridge Parkway in May are spectacular. Good availability at most properties at off-season pricing. Ideal for couples seeking Blowing Rock's charm without peak-season crowds.
Booking tip: Blowing Rock is a small mountain town of about 1,300 residents that becomes one of the most sought-after fall destinations in the Southeast every October. Nearly all jacuzzi properties here are small boutique inns with fewer than 30 rooms. Book directly with the inn for fall weekends and book early, fall occupancy fills months ahead at the best properties.

Important Booking Tips for Blowing Rock
Fall foliage weekends require the earliest booking in this guide: October weekends in Blowing Rock are among the most in-demand hotel nights in the entire Southeast. Book 6 to 8 weeks ahead, or consider mid-week October stays which are significantly more available and usually 20 to 30 percent cheaper.
Gideon Ridge at $55/night, 9.9/10: This is one of the most extraordinary value-to-rating combinations in this entire guide series. A top-rated jacuzzi inn in a Blue Ridge Mountain destination at $55/night warrants a direct call to confirm availability and specific room details.
Book directly with the inn: Nearly all Blowing Rock properties are small boutique inns. Calling or emailing directly gives you the best access to specific jacuzzi room availability and seasonal packages.
Confirm your room type: Not all rooms in these inns have jacuzzis. Confirm the specific room when booking to ensure you receive a spa tub room.
Ski season note: Appalachian Ski Mountain is within walking or short driving distance from many Main Street properties. Green Park Inn and Mountainaire Inn are well-positioned for ski season visits. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain ski resorts are 15 to 25 minutes away.
Verify with the inn: Some travelers report jacuzzi rooms can be substituted at check-in if not confirmed directly with the property at the time of booking.
Verified reviews of Blowing Rock hotels with hot tub
Green Park Inn was the only hotel in the area willing and able to accommodate all of my out-of-town wedding guests at a reasonable price. Praying the reincarnation will maintain that affordability, it was super convenient for us all to gather after the wedding and continue enjoying the night together without the risk of flat-landers driving dark mountain roads at night. We made a pact we would have a five-year anniversary party and all come back to the inn, so you guys have three more years to get her up and running!

Living at the bottom of the mountain we had been by this hotel for years; always wanting to see it from the inside as we love the styles of yesteryear. We were pleasantly surprised at it's grandior. It was simply lovely. Charlie playing the piano in the lobby added a special essence to our stay. Our room was nice and they had started the heater so that it would be toasty and warm. The bed was super comfy. The hot water did take a while to heat up for a shower (3rd floor) but once it did it was sufficient. Grant the bartender was most skillful in making cocktails and making us feel welcome. We enjoyed the free buffet breakfast both mornings. Just walking through the hotel was a treat for us as we thought of all the stories it could tell and the memories made over the years. We loved it.
We love to stay in historic hotels, we don't mind quirks. The hotel is sweet...BUT an absolute ghost ship. We were hoping for a holiday vibe, nothing. Lights were up outside but not on. We knew the restaurant was closed, but that the Tavern was open, from the confirmation email. We planned to have a little bite to eat and a drink, but when we arrived, we were told the Tavern was closed too...Complementary breakfast, veggie and egg scramble of only onions! At this point it was past disappointing, on to comical. Even the droopy plant in the lobby was depressing. This place has a bad case of absentee ownership...
Our stay here was very disappointing. The first room we were in was cold when we arrived and had a weird smell in it which intensified to a horrible smell as the room heated up while we were at dinner. I complained at the front desk and was sent to walk around the inn and pick out another room. The horrible smell was in several other sections of the inn that I walked through and could be smelled in the hallway also. I was told by the person at the desk that it was an “old building.” The next room we moved to didn’t have the smell, but we weren’t able to control the temperature in the room. The room was extremely hot all night long and we weren’t able to open the windows to get any relief. The hot water in the bathroom was depleted quickly and I was forced to take a cold and then gradually lukewarm shower before bedtime. The one light switch in the bathroom operated the exhaust fan, the overhead light and the one power outlet in the bathroom. There was black mildew in some of the caulking in the tub and a pubic hair under the basket that held the inn’s provided toiletries. This morning, there was no ice in the ice machine, just a sign that said to see the person at the front desk. When we went to get the breakfast that was included with the room rate, there was a buffet that consisted of bacon, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, scrambled eggs and french fries. Yes, French fries! All of the food on the buffet was cold. We decided to go ahead and check out and get breakfast somewhere else and the person working the checkout said she could take $25 off our bill since we didn’t eat breakfast, the breakfast that was supposedly “free.” I had planned this overnight trip for my spouse’s birthday, a special birthday after a tough year of a cancer diagnosis, chemo and two surgeries. This stay at the Green Park Inn was a bitter disappointment for what was intended to be a time of relaxation and rest. Do not recommend!!!
We had a great stay at the Meadowbrook Inn and would absolutely return. The staff truly stood out—everyone we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience feel personal rather than transactional.
The location is prime for Blowing Rock. It’s walkable to the main shops and restaurants and perfectly situated for enjoying the town without needing to drive everywhere.
The accommodations were comfortable and well maintained, exactly what you want after a full day exploring the area. Breakfast was decent and a nice added convenience to start the morning without having to head out immediately.
Overall, a very solid stay with exceptional service and an unbeatable location. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Blowing Rock.
We went Thanksgiving weekend, usually we stay at one of the smaller inns for a bit cheaper but without any of the amenities. Meadowbrook inn is a very nice place with friendly staff. The breakfast was good, had the basic selections on it. Rooms were nice and clean. Short walk to Main Street and the shops. Would definitely stay here again.
If you need or want wifi, even just to scroll on your phone, this is not the hotel for you. I typically wake up a couple of hours before my husband and work on my computer or scroll my phone while he sleeps, and it's simply not possible to do this from your room. The location of the hotel is great, as it's a quick walk to town's restaurants and shops. The pool area seems nice, there's a nice fire burning outside at night, and the front desk attendants were helpful. The room is ok. The heater is loud, the light in the hallways is at daylight levels 24/7 (had to put a towel at the bottom of our door), the shower (drop) ceiling is rotting away/caving in, and the hair dryer is the cheapest I've ever used (2 settings...cold or scalding). The breakfast isn't that great for $15, and I hate when you have to eat with plastic utensils. In summary, it's usually the lowest priced spot in town. It's close to everything and clean enough. But it's not excellent. The wifi is a huge issue.
Meadowbrook Inn is a well-maintained hotel close to everything downtown on the parkway. The Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a full buffet of hot and cold food. And, there are plenty of places like the Toastery that are nearby if you want a personal breakfast before taking in the breathtaking scenery. And, dinner options close by too. We enjoyed our Suite which gave us plenty of room to enjoy our 3-day visit without feeling cramped. The room came with a small refrigerator and microwave, and hotel amenities were nice and added to our relaxing visit. Thank you for making this an enjoyable trip despite the on and off rain.
When we took to the Blue Ridge Parkway for our anniversary, Blowing Rock was home base, even though we live just an hour down the mountain from it.
We found it last year, on our way through the final stretch of our trip and this year, we returned to make this spot OUR spot.
The continental breakfast of fresh fruits, apple bakes, and an assortment of goodies made our mornings prior to take off a breeze.
The in-suite pool was a great way to relax after a long day, in privacy! There was something quite magical about swimming on a whim late at night or early morning, without prying eyes around.
The room itself - absolutely stunning! It had a small kitchen, living room with fireplace, a veranda with views of Blowing Rock, a separate bedroom with a massive king sized bed, and huge bathroom with a jetted bath.
While we were out and about the majority of our time on vacation, this hotel’s presence had one heck of a way of welcoming us back.
It felt like home.
And a home we will more than likely return to as the years tuck on.
When you find a good thing, every thing else is measured up to it and it just falls short.
That’s exactly what this place is; Home - Away from home!
