Got room found mold place smells of weed and cigarettes strong. Also a lube looking butt print in the sheets. Told manager got a second room since repeat. Refused refund offered another room said I'll pass. It will be the same. Sorry to say. Friendly helpful staff except nothing gets or got fixed. Just room hop till you give up and leave. So not helpful. NO REFUNDS BEWARE.
This super 8 did a phenomenal job at everything. From check in to check out you’ll feel comfortable in a quiet and respectable establishment. High recommend! We loved it here so much we stayed an entire week!
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! Stopped in town for the weekend. Hotel reeks of marijuana and cigarettes (non smoking room wasn't much better). Really poorly maintained! Holes in the dry wall, outlets hanging out of the wall, fake vents, dirty bathroom, toilet rediculously close to the wall, ac unit was falling out of the wall, clothing rack was pulled out on one side from the wall, hair under the pillow case, ungodly stains on the couch, squeaky floors, uneven hideaway doors, dirty hairdryer. It was as if they only replaced the sheets prior to our arrival. 60 bucks for the night was not bad though, good when money is tight. (Also breakfast was decent)
Horrible!! The entire hotel smells like Marijuana. It was so strong I had the worst headache after being there for an hour. Room was very old and stale smell. I understand it was a smoking room but this was way beyond cigarette smoke. Walls was dirty, tub had numerous cigarette burns and hair in the the tub and on wall, mirror was dirty, beds was ok they seemed clean and comfy, but could not sleep for the smells that was so over powering. Refrigerator was so loud my daughter could hear it over the phone while I was on the phone with her, had to cut it off. TV was so small mounted on the wall i had trouble seeing it from the bed. Will never stay here again
This room smelled to high heaven. The mold smell was very strong. The toilet barely flushed. The lamp shades were busted. The bathroom was covered in mold. I took a video of all The mold in the bathroom but it won’t load. The room was dirty. Seen a roach while on the way to the pool also.
Great stay and food, but missing one key amenity. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the convenience of having a refrigerator in the room. We ate at the on-site restaurant, Bridges, which serves fantastic food with very generous portions. However, we ran into a bit of a snag with our leftovers. Despite having a fridge, there is no microwave in the room or anywhere in the hotel for guest use. It was disappointing to have such great food from Bridges and no way to reheat it the next day. Adding a guest microwave would make this a 5-star experience!
Update: 01/10/2026 They have changed something most definitely. I may not win all the time but I do get the experience the games with the money I have . $1500 would last me all day normally in Metropolis. Today it didn’t last one hour. I didn’t get to experience any real casino play today and it is upsetting because I really liked this casino. I would always have fun but if this is the new normal, I have to change where I put my finances.
We got an email about free play @ Harris Saint Louis our email. So we went down to play hetten hadn't been there since they turned it over to Harris. It's now called Harris Saint Louis. They have revamped the old casino. It is so gorgeous. Usually i don't recommend casinos in St. Louis. Because I found them to be dark dreary and dirty, but Harris, I gotta give it to you, you guys are something to be reckoned with. First of all , before you even go into the casino there is a Starbucks yummy , do I need to say anything else. They have opened up the casino floor I think maybe put in new lights. It is bright and welcoming. It looks like a place that you want to go and have a good time. So get your friends and make a night of it. Take pictures and enjoy.
We were on our way back home from a long roadtrip when the rain got to be too much so we decided to stop here to spend the night and get back on the road the next day. Unfortunately they were fully booked so we stayed somewhere else but had dinner here before going to our hotel. We had exceptional service at the bar. The food was delicious, I got the ribs and my partner got crab legs, definitely recommend. The bartender Tara, was the most pleasant person we've ever come across. She had a great attitude, was very attentive, really went above and beyond for us. Tara turned our day around and we're forever grateful we stopped by.
I will never return to this place again. Cindy was rude from the time I walked in. My husband and I booked the reservation online the same day (which is the only time we could get away). We were so excited to visit. We got to the hotel around 10:30am and Cindy said “oh you can’t check in this early and the type of room you have is NOT going to be ready until 3pm.” We kindly asked if they could call us if by any chance it was ready earlier. She said “NO we can’t make out going calls (with a rude voice). We asked if we could call to check the status and she gave us a piece of paper with the hotel number on it. We left and went to eat in Paducah and called back around 1:30pm to see if the room was ready. Another lady answered and was nice and told us that it was ready. We got back to the hotel and spoke to the lady that helped us over the phone. As she started to check us in Cindy walks up and says “THERE WILL BE A $15 early check in charge”. She was rude again. I asked her is this fee just for us or for everyone? She said “oh yes it’s for everyone across the board.” This was our first time here and was never told over the phone or online that there is a $15 early check in fee. My husband and I paid the fee and went to our room. We came back downstairs and as we walked past we clearly saw Cindy check someone in and didn’t charge them an early check in fee. She is disgusting and doesn’t not need to work at the front desk. She has no customer service skills at all. We finally get into the casino and our new card from the counter didn’t work to play the slots. We moved to 4 different games and it didn’t work. We went upstairs and went to sleep. We will just take our money somewhere else where we are not treated rudely and able to play the slots. This place says they they offer food. They had 1 restaurant open with plates costing $49 and above the grill was closed at the other restaurant and (it was 5pm). We had to get in the car and drive somewhere else to eat food.
Located in a small town so traffic is light. Plenty of rooms in the area and not far from I24. Casino was nice but small compared to other. Plenty of slots and about 20 or so card tables. Varies card games and pleasant dealers. I would recommend visiting this place. Nice scenic neighborhood and a superman museum close by you should visit. I can't rate the hotel because I didn't stay there.
Could definitely offer more if they are going to charge a DAILY "resort" fee. That was really disappointing. Resorts offer assistance, pools and friendly staff. River view room - was also laughable. It should say partial view. I definitely set my expectations too high for this one.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. there's not a microwave in the room or anywhere on the property. The casino does close between 5-8 alcohol is available in the casino on Sunday. Our group had a fun weekend and plan to return
The hotel has dog friendly rooms! The area in itself was, interesting. Very small town but clean and neat. Everyone at the casino was very helpful and loved our puppy. They even remembered us when we would walk out without the puppy with us. We will be coming back again. Thank you from Tennessee!!
Overall a very great experience on my weeknight December stay.
Hotel rooms were very clean and well appointed with a consistent "gold luxury" theme. A coffee maker and mini fridge are an unusually nice treat for casino hotels.
Beds were comfortable, the shower was really nice. The hotel provides bulk dispensers of shampoo/conditioner, but I found the quality of the supplies to be less than my liking.
The attached casino has plenty of games for lower stakes players, including $5 craps well into the late evening and a 8/5 JoB video poker game at 5 cent denomination. Not a fan of the very lengthy facial recognition process to be allowed to enter, though.
This isn't a very densely populated area, options for food are limited.
