We have made this our place to stay every time when we are in Taos. The staff is awesome and very accommodating. The breakfasts are great. We choose the Anasazi suite for our family and it is super spacious.
Everything was wonderful here - Peggy and her staff were over the top friendly and helpful, giving super recommendations of restaurants and places to visit. The grounds are peaceful and beautiful and in a great location close to the plaza. The room was clean and provided more than enough for our needs.
Pleased to stay at the Inn of La Loma Plaza in Taos, NM. The rooms was small but adequate. We were underwhelmed by the greeting at check-in on Wednesday, the 15th of October. The desk clerk did not even greet us or say hello and his first response was to ask us for an ID and credit card. His check in time was excessive to say to least for having sent this information ahead to reserve a room. The room was on the second floor (tough with luggage) and tiny but this was made clear. There was little room for clothing and next morning the coffee machine in the room had no coffee units for the coffee machine in the room. Disappointing. For breakfast after submitting our order and desired dining time the night before, we were told that it was oversold and that we might need to wait. Once we arrived for breakfast the next morning, there was 'plenty' of room and the food was good. Overall nice only, not exceptional, and think it was pricey for the money.
We had a lovely stay at the Inn. Our room was so lovely; we had a cute little balcony, gorgeous shower and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. Peggy is a wonderful host, Friendly and helpful but not overbearing. I would stay there again for sure.
For a step back in both time and style, the Inn checks all the boxes. There are modern elements slipcased into a comfy room. Important note: There is no elevator, and the style/access to the room we stayed in required stair climbing. The lobby if you want to call it that is more like a rustic living room. Our room was a Western motif, with knotty pine walls. The only complaint which is true for most lodging is that the ambient lighting is dull and no ability to have a really lit room. Very convienent to the Plaza. The breakfast is personalized by your choices and very flavorful
Lovely place, both gardens and interior spaces. The room was so comfortable with every amenity and attention to detail. Moreover the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come here again and recommend it to our friends.
A beautiful historic Inn. The house, rooms and grounds are beautiful and peaceful yet close to The Plaza and the Pueblo. Breakfast is famous! Definitely will return.
A charming inn... the photos really don't do it justice. Rooms are very nice, Innkeeper and staff very helpful and attentive and the breakfast is amazing!
We recently stayed 3 nights at Inn on La Loma Plaza! We greatly enjoyed our time. It was just a few blocks off the plaza, but also so quiet and peaceful. Peggy and her staff were so warm and welcoming! The breakfast was delicious and we looked forward to it each morning. We will back!
Never have we ever received the utmost quality of customer service from any where we have stayed previously! Our amazing host ensured we were comfortable and completely satisfied! We will absolutely come back next time in town!
Wonderful hosts! They are very thoughtful and supply the room with everything you need and more ..we enjoyed a cozy fire in our room and shared a splendid breakfast! A gem of Taos!
We have a wonderful short stay here! The building and setting are beautiful and historic, and Peggy the owner was an excellent host. We stayed in a room with a fireplace which was perfect after a long day out. The breakfast was also a great surprise and something you don't want to miss!
My wife and I loved the stay. The room and atmosphere were what we needed. The host Peggy was just delightful. Breakfast was excellent. Will be back when and if we see green grass and trees next year. Heartily recommend.
Great historic hotel. Like a big B&B. Our room was the smallest, so its good we were there for one night. It was cute and confortable for us, nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. The breakfest is wonderful!
My biggest complaint is the rooms need a DEEP cleaning… baseboards are filthy, white leather chair had dirty stains, something mysterious on the side of the tub that looked like blood 🩸 light switches.. dirty.
In the middle of the night The shower started pouring water, and the AC vent was making popping noises which kept me up throughout the night. Really unfortunate because I feel like this place could be five out of five, but for me, the rooms were just not up to my standard in cleanliness.
Monte Sagrado is definitely a place you stay for the experience. It feels like a secluded, luxurious retreat while still being conveniently close to downtown. From the moment you arrive, you immediately feel the warmth and excellent customer service at the front desk.
We were able to take advantage of the shuttle service downtown, which I would highly recommend—it made getting around incredibly easy. Our room was very clean, cozy, and well appointed, with a beautiful bathroom, a fireplace, and all the amenities you could want.
The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and overall the property gives you the feeling that you’re somewhere truly special. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.
We recently stayed here over New Year’s with my family of 5. I don’t usually feel inclined to leave a review unless an establishment goes above and beyond and this place was truly wonderful. Our room was impeccably clean (side note my husband is always nervous to see my reaction when we go to hotels because I am easily grossed out by the smallest thing), the staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food was some of the best food I’ve had. The architecture is beautiful and I especially loved the foliage in the restaurant and the atrium where the pool is. We loved this hotel and hope to come back someday. Also, everyone was so friendly and patient with my three kids and several even commented that they enjoyed seeing and hearing the kids play (my kids can be ALOT sometimes so this was very kind).
We had a fantastic family vacation at El Monte Sagrado. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and offers a peaceful, relaxing environment that made it easy to unwind. The staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Our room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The grounds were exceptionally well maintained and added to the serene atmosphere of the property. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly return and recommend it to others looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.
Overall, a fantastic place to go on vacation, especially a couples romantic retreat.
We got the king bed room and had some really great features in the room:
The hot tub was the centerpiece of the room and was a great addition. I will mention that the maintenance for this was a little lacking but still a nice experience.
The timed fireplace was also really great and kept the room at a nice temperature when we did use it.
The view out onto the central field was really nice with a little balcony.
The hotel itself had some cosy extras, the spa is beautiful and the service was attentive.
The pool! My goodness, the pool was amazing and in October we had the whole pool to ourselves.
The only small thing I noticed, that I think they could improve on is maintenance as I mentioned earlier. The fountain pipes on some of the water features were clogged, the hot tub waters jets were clogged with dirt and the faucet was very loose.
I do recommend this location. Really lovely getaway.
What is the best time to visit Taos for hotels with Jacuzzi in room?
The best time to visit Taos depends on what you want from your stay. Winter, from December to February, is ideal for skiing at Taos Ski Valley, and a Jacuzzi in room adds comfort after cold days. Spring and fall bring fewer crowds, mild weather, and lower rates, making them great for a quieter trip. Summer offers festivals, hiking, and warm evenings, perfect for relaxing in a private hot tub. For a balance of good weather, reasonable prices, and availability, late spring and early fall are often the most practical times to book.
What price range can I expect for Taos hotels with Jacuzzi in room?
Prices for Taos hotels with Jacuzzi in room vary by season, location, and property style. Budget-friendly options typically start around $120 to $180 per night during off-peak months. Mid-range hotels usually fall between $180 and $300, offering better views, larger rooms, or upgraded amenities. Luxury stays and boutique inns can exceed $300 per night, especially during ski season and peak summer weekends. Rates tend to increase during holidays and local events. Booking early and choosing weekdays can help secure better deals, while shoulder seasons often provide the best balance between price and availability.
Why should you visit Taos for a Jacuzzi suite stay?
Taos stands out for its mix of natural scenery, culture, and relaxed atmosphere, making it ideal for a Jacuzzi suite stay. The town combines mountain views, adobe architecture, and a strong artistic heritage, creating a setting that feels different from typical resort destinations. After exploring Taos Pueblo, hiking nearby trails, or skiing in winter, having a private Jacuzzi in room adds comfort and privacy. The slower pace, smaller crowds, and scenic surroundings make it especially suited for couples or quiet getaways. It’s a destination where the room itself becomes part of the overall travel experience.
