Where exactly is the jacuzzi in Santa Fe hotels?
We analyzed 5 Santa Fe hotels with in-room jacuzzis and mapped where the tub is located, the average nightly rate, and which hotel leads each category.
Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder truly feels like a resort, and our stay here was excellent overall. Everything about the property was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. We especially loved the hot water tub—it was relaxing and absolutely awesome.
The location is about 25 minutes outside of downtown Santa Fe, but it’s totally worth it. We booked a room with a balcony, and the mountain views were mesmerizing. Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the scenery was one of the highlights of our trip. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
The only disappointing part was the breakfast arrangement. The hotel does not operate its own breakfast buffet. Instead, breakfast is handled by the in-house Iguana Café, which is paid. Some days they offer a buffet at $28 per person, and on other days it’s à la carte only.
We booked through Booking.com with breakfast included, but Hilton reimbursed only $20 per person per day, which meant we had to pay extra out of pocket for breakfast. This was unexpected and a bit inconvenient.
Aside from the breakfast policy, everything else was excellent, and it’s a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing getaway.
The hotel is nice and modern in general. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. while the rooms were nice, there was a cob web in the bathroom and the balcony was very dirty. There were cigarette buds in balcony! While I like the location, know that it's 25 mins from downtown Santa Fe. They serve Starbucks in the lobby and there is one 2 mins away as well.
This was an AMAZING resort to stay at. It was our 20th anniversary so I decided to splurge. My wife and our plus 1 (my son,) were SO extremely pleased. Both upset we had to leave. We have decided to make it a thanksgiving/ anniversary traditional trip. The room was so beautiful and cozy with the fireplaces. My wife is an art major so the art and sculptures everywhere brightened her day. The amenities were awesome and staff amazing. Jason was my original contact that took care of my booking and making sure I had the best possible room i could get and his courtesy and professionalism trickled down through the staff. We cannot wait to come back in thr spring to try the outdoor pool and in the fall to continue our new found tradition. We thank all the staff for an awesome trip. It is just what we needed to celebrate our life together and distress from our very busy ministry. Thank you very much.
What a beautiful place to stay. This hotel is gorgeous 🥰. The rooms are big, shower is great and they have balconies. The casino is right downstairs. LeeAndra at the front desk reminded us as to why we chose The Hilton @ Buffalo Thunder for our stay. She is warm, courteous and sensitive to our needs. A joy to work with. All in all a 5🌟 experience! Highly recommend.
My stay was okay overall. This property is pretty basic, on par with other casino hotels. The architecture is nice, and I really appreciated the beautiful Native American art throughout—the lobby itself is gorgeous.
That said, I think the experience could be elevated with some live entertainment or music in the lobby/bar area, especially since the casino itself doesn’t offer any. Be prepared to walk quite a bit, as there are no golf carts available for rent to get around.
The rooms are standard, nothing special. The pool area is clean, but the water temperature is kept at 75 degrees, which is just too cold for comfortable swimming.
One definite plus is that it’s only a short drive into downtown Santa Fe, which is very convenient. While I won’t be staying here again, I absolutely love Santa Fe and will definitely be back to the city.
I have been At the Lafonda for many years… And I keep coming back because the rooms are beautiful, the overall atmosphere of the hotel is truly enchanting, and the service is always excellent.
The team at La Fonda are some of the friendliest people… Always checking in on me to see if I need anything During my stay… Always Available to answer And take care of me while I’m there…
I am definitely a fan of La Fonda on the plaza and will continue to stay there in the future… i’m already booked for opera season this summer and I’m bringing my cousin and her husband along to enjoy the La Fonda experience…
Best location in the plaza. Historic hotel. Ruch colores and southwest design. Good service, the calets were very helpful. Restaurants are extremely expensive. The French cafe leading the way in over priced food, pasties and egg, bacon and cheese sandwich. Family of 5 getting a sandwich or crepe with coffee, and waters set me back $148 with 20% tip. Cost will keep me away. Probably a govt mandated salary issue and taxes in NM.
My sister and I stayed at La Fonda for seven nights from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Eve. We were so impressed with the consistent friendly and helpful staff. From room service, to room cleanliness, the valets, concierge help, and not least of all the enthusiastic restaurant and bar staff, we were more than satisfied! Thank you to all the staff! A special shoutout to Santi, the host at the Fiesta lounge for handling incredibly busy shifts with such enthusiasm and efficiency!! So impressed!
Stayed here on a road trip and La Fonda absolutely delivered. Every single team member was genuinely friendly and helpful, from the front desk staff who went out of their way to find us a quiet room, to always being happy to give walking directions around town.
Major shout-out to the valet and bell team. Truly some of the best we’ve experienced anywhere. Fast, careful, warm, and consistently going above and beyond without ever feeling rushed or transactional.
The hotel itself is beautiful. Classic Santa Fe architecture with thoughtful modern updates, especially in the bathrooms, that add comfort without sacrificing the historic character. It feels curated, not overdone.
The location is unbeatable. Walkable to everything downtown, shops, galleries, restaurants, the plaza. We parked the car and barely touched it.
Would absolutely stay here again. It feels like Santa Fe.
My daughter and I stayed in a one bedroom suite and took part in the Ghost Tour. The valet parking was nice and the lobby is beautiful and clean. Our room was quite nice with local art strewn throughout. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and the bathroom was large with a tub and a fridge and Nespresso machine with coffee pods was available in the living area. Great service. Clean facility. Ghost tour was fun. Will stay again.

During this period, the weather is warm, dry, and ideal for exploring the city’s outdoor attractions, art markets, and historic sites. Summer also brings popular events like the Santa Fe Opera and Indian Market. Fall offers cooler temperatures and fewer crowds, making it a strong alternative. Winter can be quieter and more affordable, with nearby skiing options. Jacuzzi suites are particularly appealing year-round, but cooler evenings in spring and fall make the experience even more comfortable.

On average, expect rates to start around $150 to $200 per night for mid-range options, while boutique and luxury properties often range from $250 to $500 or more. Peak seasons such as summer festivals and holidays push prices higher, sometimes exceeding $600 for upscale stays. Weekdays tend to be more affordable than weekends. Booking in advance helps secure better rates, especially for popular properties. Off-season visits, particularly winter, can offer noticeable savings without sacrificing comfort.
Why should you visit Santa Fe for a stay with a Jacuzzi in room?
