The light breakfast is a fruit bar from Walmart. Our card showed a pending charge which included the $50 deposit, which I expected, but after we left the full amount was still charged. The automated phone system says they’ll refund my deposit within 14 days. You don’t interact with people at the hotel or on the phone when dealing with this property.
Rooms are falling apart and customer service is bad. The price of room with how it it is not worth it. The ceiling has some water damage, carpet worn, dresser scuffed up. …unfortunately it looks run down. Customer service not very good, a bit combative. Hidden fees upon check in. When you ask any questions to the staff, the guy was very rude, and if questioned something would say, then don’t stay. If you just need a place to sleep it will do in a pinch but not going back here again. If you stay, recommend taking pictures of the room upon checking in for proof of damage was already there so you won’t get charged.
November/December 2025 - We stayed nearly two weeks in a deluxe two queen room and had a great time. The room itself was very spacious and the bathroom was not small at all. The view is the sun rises we're beautiful! Especially during the balloon rally. There were minor maintenance issues but they were addressed quickly and efficiently. They won't know something is wrong unless it's addressed, right? They were very kind and accommodating. The indoor pool and hot tub was a hit with the kids amd we managed to find pool toys on clearance at the local stores. The only issue that I feel needs to be fixed is the washer and dryer. They are priced good at $2 each but our clothes came out wet and the dryer wasn't able to dry them properly. Housekeeping staff were excellent and very nice. Shout out to them for being great. The location was great. There is a Family Dollar/Dollar Tree within a minute of driving, there is a Popeye's, KFC, Maverik, many Speedways, Denny's, Dick's BBQ, local restaurants, and plenty of fast food options within 5 minutes. There are a couple of grocery stores within 5-8 minutes West of there as well. There's hiking at the nearby Red Rock State Park. The freeway entrance is close as well and the Firerock Casino is about 10 minutes away. If you've never been there before, there is freeplay with new sign-ups and also a shuttle to take you there and back from the hotel. There are no bars or clubs nearby and I think the closest bar would be at the casino. We will be staying here in the future again when we come back to visit family again. Thank for the great stay!
A very wonderful experience. The room was very clean. The indoor pool was a great feature. The staff was amazing. I'd highly recommend a stay here. And the price was very reasonable.
Room was exceedingly spacious considering the low price, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the water pressure was amazing. Location felt safe. That's the good stuff.
As of late July 2025, the breakfast service consisted of Great Value breakfast bars in a bowl beside a coffee machine, which was not exactly a morale boost. And instead of checking out by talking to a physical person, there was a TV screen with a real person on zoom or something similar. This didn't really affect our stay, but it was weird in a mostly value-neutral way.
Overall I had a great stay at this hotel. The atmosphere was lovely, the room was nice, and the cooked to order breakfast was a huge perk! The mattress was decent and the room was clean.
My only complaints are that I had to wait 5 minutes for someone to show up at the check-in counter, the bathroom and dining area could've been cleaner, and the shower water pressure was way too high.
Other than that, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed at!
Checked in and checked out within minutes due to an active safety issue on the property.
At check-in, the front desk employee was on the phone with authorities and referenced, within my hearing, an individual described by staff as a “walker” attempting to break into a vehicle in the parking lot. No explanation or safety disclosure was provided to me at the time.
Within minutes of check-in, I observed police and security arriving on the property. I immediately returned to the front desk, explained that police were on site and that I did not feel comfortable staying, and checked out. We did not occupy the room.
Despite leaving almost immediately for safety reasons, I was later billed and told the property claimed no reason was given for my departure, which is not accurate.
As a result, we continued driving nearly three additional hours late at night to stay at another Hilton property that met basic safety expectations.
I’ve stayed with Hilton for many years. This experience fell well below what I expect in terms of transparency, guest communication, and handling of safety-related issues.
Stayed here one night while passing through the area on a road trip. Bed was very comfy and the room was clean and well kept. Priced well above the other hotels in Gallup, but we found it was worth it. You can hear the highway from the 4th floor, but that's pretty much a given.
My wife and I are always scrutinizing hotels prior to booking them. This one had the best rating out of the ones in Gallup. I feel compelled to leave a review because there are some poor reviews that we noticed that, in all honesty, are unfounded or in the past. I didn't deal with any of the panhandling or other complaints that I read. The room was clean, the customer service was great. The small details in the room showed a willingness to make my stay comfortable and quaint. I would say that having an overpriced eatery in the hotel and no complimentary breakfast option was the only downside. I'd stay here again.
The staff and personnel was outstanding. They are polite and accommodating. Restaurant staff is attentive and had great food. It is in an awesome location which is close to all amenities. As for the room. I really expected more. This is clearly the most expensive hotel in the Gallup area but room wise, they are in dire need of new beds, I could feel and hear the springs and noisy just sitting on the bed. It was giving cheap quality. Was not expecting that for a $300 a night room. if you are looking for a view, don't get the 2nd floor. All you see is the roof top equipment. There is a plus, that there is a Bar though.
