Verified reviews of Augusta, GA hotels with hot tub
Cons: poor wifi, rooms with damaged walls, outside noise, room always warm, old and noisy appliance, and nasty coffee.
The location of the hotel is perfect, and the exterior grounds and interior hallways were clean and well-kept. The breakfast is mediocre. The only hot items to choose from is an egg product, a meat product, and sometimes biscuits and gravy or french toast. I stayed for 20 nights and never saw pork sausage links or patties, the only sausage was the polska keilbasa style sliced. The egg was either little pre-made omelets or scrambled eggs, no boiled eggs as an option.
As for my room, it was on the first floor which I prefer and had the whirlpool tub. The whirlpool tub was wonderfully large in size for my 6'4", however only two of the 7 jets were working, so that was a bummer. The bed was comfortable enough, but did have noticeable sag and wear from where a couple would be sleeping. I slept in the middle to get the least saggy part with some firmness to it which I prefer.
I have two complaints though. First, when it rains, my window leaks pretty heavily and I had to put a trash can in the spot to catch the dripping. Secondly, which annoyed me the most, was the lack of high-speed internet, even though they claim they have it. I am an IT expert and I tried all possible ways to bypass any hotel or ISP based throttling, but they have it hard locked to maximum 3mbps. It doesn't matter if you connect via wifi, ethernet, or at the business center, that is the max speed you'll be allowed. Not enough for any HD streaming or downloading of any larger sized files. So, keep that in mind. If you are only checking emails or browsing the web without video's, you'd be fine.
