How We Verify a Hotel Really Has a Jacuzzi in the Room

Every hotel here has to prove it has a private tub in the room before it is listed. "Verified" is a word every directory uses, so this page sets out exactly what it means on TubHotels: the seven checks a hotel has to pass, what gets a hotel excluded, how much we have confirmed so far, and where the gaps still are.
Booking sites let hotels tag themselves with an amenity. We do not take that tag as evidence. If there is no photo of the tub in the room and no current listing to back it up, the hotel does not go on the list.
The Seven Checks
A hotel has to pass all seven before it is published. Failing any one of them keeps it off the site.

What We Leave Out
The exclusions matter as much as the checks. These are the things that get a hotel removed or kept off in the first place.

Why We Check Where Each Hotel Really Is
Most hotel directories take the city from the hotel’s own address. Hotels know this, so a property half an hour outside a city will happily put that city’s name on its listing. The result is a "hotels in X" page where a third of the hotels are not in X.
We checked our listings’ coordinates against US Census boundary data, then went through the results city by city. 2,220 hotels were on a page for a city they are not in. None were quietly deleted: each one moved to the page for its own town, to a clearly separate nearby section with its town and distance on the card, or to its state page. We also removed 137 duplicate entries in the process.
The legal boundary is where we start, not where we stop. The Las Vegas Strip is outside the City of Las Vegas, in Paradise and Winchester, and it is still what anyone means by Las Vegas, so the Las Vegas page lists it and says so. Henderson and North Las Vegas are cities of their own, so their hotels are listed apart.
It makes our city lists shorter than most. That is the point: a hotel listed in a city is where you would expect it to be.
What We Have Confirmed So Far
Verification is not all-or-nothing, so here is where the listings actually stand. These numbers come from the live inventory, not from a target.
The gaps are the honest part: 2,379 listings do not yet have a confirmed room name, and those cards say so rather than inventing one. 3,437 listings carry the name of the town they are really in, and 1,787 sit in a separate nearby section because they fall outside the city they were filed under.
How We Choose "Our Pick"
Each page names one hotel as Our pick. The rule is the same on every page, so you can check the pick against the list below it. To be the pick, a hotel has to meet all of these:
- The jacuzzi is in your room. The tub is part of the room you book: in the room, its private bathroom, or its own balcony or patio, for you alone. A shared spa or a hot tub by the pool never counts. Every hotel we list meets this.
- We know the exact room. The card names the room type that has the tub, so you know what to book.
- It is in the city. On a city page, the pick comes from the city’s own list, never from the nearby section. On a page with no verified hotel inside the city, it comes from the nearby list and says "near".
- Guests rate it highly. 8.0 or more from at least 50 reviews. If no hotel on the page gets there, 7.0 or more from at least 20 reviews. If none does, the page has no pick.
- You can book it now. It has a current price and a booking link.
Of the hotels that qualify, the pick has the best guest rating, with the number of reviews taken into account: a high score from a handful of guests counts for less than the same score from hundreds. If two are level, more reviews wins. The same order is used when you sort a list by Best rated.
A pick stays until another hotel is clearly ahead or it stops meeting the rule, so it does not change over a tenth of a point.
Price, hotel class and brand play no part, and no hotel can pay to be the pick.
How We Make Money
When you book through a link here, the booking site pays us a commission. You pay the same price either way. No hotel can pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to stay on the list once it stops meeting the checks above. The ordering you see comes from guest rating adjusted for review count, price and the filters you set, and nothing else.

Every property passes the seven checks on this page before it is published, and the two that matter most are a room photo showing the tub and a current listing from a booking source. Of the 7,333 rooms listed today, 5,096 carry a room photo and 6,775 have a confirmed street address. What you still have to do at your end is pick the right room type at checkout.
How can I be sure the tub is in the bedroom and not the bathroom?
We record placement separately from the tub type, because it changes the stay more than the tub does, and each hotel card states it. Where no source confirms the placement, the card says that rather than guessing, which is the case for 32% of listings today.
Which hotels count as "in" a city?
The ones in the city as a traveler means it. Most directories use whatever city a hotel puts in its own address, which is how a hotel 40 minutes out of town ends up on a city page. We check each hotel’s mapped location against the city’s legal boundary, using US Census boundary data, and then review each page on its own. Usually the two agree. Where they do not, the page says what it covers: the Las Vegas Strip is legally outside the City of Las Vegas and is still what anyone means by Las Vegas. How often are listings re-checked?
Prices and ratings are refreshed with each update, and every page shows the month its hotels were last verified. Hotels that stop offering the room with the tub are removed at the next check.
What if a listing is wrong?
Tell us and we will re-check it. A hotel that no longer has the tub, or has it only in a room that is no longer bookable, comes off the list. We would rather have a shorter list that holds up than a long one that does not.
Do hotels pay to be listed?
