Unfortunately, this hotel was not up to par! Front desk is rude! Pricing was changed upon arrival for a 8 pound comfort dog. Place was filthy with dog poop outside elevator and when I told front desk they didn’t seem to care. When I booked I asked if they would match online price he said no and upon arrival changed our reservation to a higher price. We paid $199 for a filthy room and had to walk over dog poop! Front desk quoted others $164. I would not recommend this place to anyone. A full refund would be appreciated! I have pictures of our unsanitary room and holes in the wall too.
1 star just because I had to put one. Front desk is just rude. The pool was shut and locked with no explanation. When asked if the pool was open all she said was "no". It was 630 pm sign says closes at 10 pm. Was told at check in since we had q adults and 3 minors we couldn't get one room.
The hotel smells terribly of dog urine. Large urine stains on the carpet. Pretty terrible. The staff were great. The breakfast was very well done except for the broken waffle maker. I would stay clear unless a remodel is done.
This was an impromptu find after hitting storms coming through Atlanta. It's was a great find, and I will put this on my stop to Florida for future travel.
Room, bathroom, shower, pool, and dining area were all clean. Check-in was pleasant and helpful.
What I really loved about this place, off the main drag, third floor, so quiet.
The room was pretty quiet. The bed was a little more firm than I prefer, but it was okay for the night. The hotel is dog friendly and we hardly ever heard any of the dogs that were there. The other dog parents were very respectful of their own pups and ours. There was also an off leash dog park that was only a few minutes away that was good for letting our pup run off some energy after riding in the car.
First, the pictures online did not match the reality of this building. That was the first red flag. I think the lounge uses the same AC unit as the main hotel so the entire building smells like old musty cigars. When we would leave for activities and come back to our room it would smell so strong it was hard to breathe. One night, our neighbor was smoking weed and the smell was leaking through our door. That same night my partner went to get something from our car and someone was having intercourse in the parking lot! We also found a roach under our desk that was still alive and the wall had water damage and was squishy. The tub wouldn't drain either. We had to bring our own tub cleaner to clean the tub after every use after we waited all night for the tub to drain because it would leave hair and dirt ring around the tub. Also, our floors were filthy and covered with dust and our dog's hair. We stayed for four nights and requested housekeeping on day two. We needed more towels, the floor swept, and the trash taken. Every night our feet were covered in hair, and the trash was overflowing. We called room service and they told us we had to come to get the towels at the front desk and they would get the trash the next day. The floor was never swept and our room was never cleaned during our stay despite putting the "please clean this room" sign out for 2 days. After, reflecting on the issues we had I won't be recommending this hotel or staying here again.
I don’t want to put even one star for this place. I don't know how this place was called a hotel or motel!!! Even the animal barn is cleaner than this place, because the animal barn contains animals, so it is expected that you will smell the smell of animals, but the smell everywhere in the building is unbearable and indescribable. Suddenly we started to smell a smoking smell in the room. It seemed that someone was smoking. I don’t know where, but whenever he smoked, we would wake up from sleep because of the smell. The smell of the very cheap and bad blankets was something very disgusting. The sheets were withered. I was surprised by how people described this place as habitable. !!! It is not suitable for staying even for hours at a time. It is the worst experience and the worst night for me while traveling.
Overall, this was a good hotel to stay at. The location was close off the interstate, but not too close. The staff was kind and courteous.
It's obvious the building has been given a face lift, but some of the original characteristics of the building has stayed the same. The one downside for me was how small the bathroom was, but the comes from the original structure/layout of the building.
No elevator, so be cautious if you have heavy luggage.
I don't know how this place has good reviews. We were travelling through on vacation and stopped for the night because of reviews. There is a bar attached to the hotel. At around midnight, a fight broke out outside our room with around 20 people. There were at least 3 employees of the hotel out there. We had to call the police after almost 2 hours of fighting and one girl getting thrown on our rental car. When we talked to the front desk, they told us there was nothing they could do because we didn't contact the front desk while it was happening. Why would we? Your employees were out there. We called the police. This is the sketchiest place and we did not feel safe.
Smooth check in process and very friendly customer, service, and associates. The front desk receptionist was a total sweetheart! The first time we were put in had a little bit of a musty smell, and I asked if it could be looked at, and they immediately transferred us to a different room without any issues. The second room was perfect. I had a pleasant stay, and would return if I’m in the area again.
