Riverside Hot Tub Hotels: Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Riverside and the surrounding area, California

Best Time to Visit

  • Spring (March–May): One of the most pleasant seasons in Riverside, with mild temperatures in the 70s and 80s and clear skies. The citrus heritage blooms are a backdrop to the historic Mission Inn district and downtown. Good availability at most properties. Temecula wine country to the south is also at its best in spring. Book Hampton Inn Temecula and Marriott Riverside 2–3 weeks ahead for spring weekends.
  • Fall (September–November): Another excellent window, with temperatures cooling from summer extremes. Temecula wine harvest season brings visitors to the valley's wineries. Riverside's downtown and University of California Riverside area are active with academic events. Moderate pricing at most properties.
  • Winter (December–February): Cool and occasionally rainy, but still mild compared to most of the country. The Festival of Lights at the historic Mission Inn (late November through January) is Riverside's biggest tourism event, drawing over a million visitors and filling downtown hotels. Book the Marriott Riverside well ahead for Festival of Lights weekends. Otherwise, winter offers the lowest pricing of the year.
  • Summer (June–August): Very hot, with temperatures regularly exceeding 100°F in the Inland Empire. In-room Jacuzzis and pools become practical relief amenities. The Banning Pass area (Hampton Inn Banning) is slightly cooler due to mountain breezes. Hotels primarily serve business travelers and road trippers heading to Palm Springs or the desert during this season.
Booking tip: The Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn in downtown Riverside (late November through early January) is the single largest tourism event in the region. It fills the Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center and surrounding hotels for weeks. Book 4–8 weeks ahead if your trip coincides with the festival. If the festival is not part of your plans, avoid December weekends for the best pricing.

Important Booking Tips for Riverside

  • Confirm the exact room type: Jacuzzi and hot tub rooms are specific upgrade categories at Riverside hotels. Look for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Room," "Spa King," or "Heart-Shaped Tub Room" when booking. At Hampton Inn and Marriott properties, not all rooms include a private tub.
  • Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn: This annual holiday light display at the historic Mission Inn (late November through early January) draws over a million visitors and is the largest tourism event in the Riverside area. The Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center and surrounding downtown hotels fill quickly and pricing spikes. Book 4–8 weeks ahead for festival weekends, or avoid December weekends entirely if the festival is not part of your plans.
  • Heart-shaped Jacuzzi concentration: With four heart-shaped Jacuzzi properties (Dynasty Suites Redlands, Dynasty Suites Hotel Riverside, Thunderbird Lodge, and Days Inn Riverside Tyler Mall), this region has one of the strongest selections of novelty romantic tubs in California. Dynasty Suites Redlands is the standout at 9.0/10 and $76/night, making it the best value heart-shaped tub option.
  • Temecula wine country as a day trip: Hampton Inn and Suites Temecula is about 50 miles south of downtown Riverside via I-15 and is the only Jacuzzi hotel in this dataset positioned directly in wine country. If wine tasting is a priority, staying in Temecula puts you closer to the 40+ wineries rather than making a long day trip from Riverside city.
  • Pet-friendly picks: Thunderbird Lodge, Dynasty Suites Hotel Riverside, Hilton Garden Inn Fontana, Heritage Inn and Suites Corona, Hampton Inn and Suites Temecula, Dynasty Suites Redlands, Hampton Inn and Suites Banning-Beaumont, and Days Inn Riverside Tyler Mall all accept pets. Confirm fees and size limits before booking.
  • Free breakfast included: Dynasty Suites Hotel Riverside, Days Inn Riverside Tyler Mall, Country Inn Ontario, Hampton Inn and Suites Temecula, Dynasty Suites Redlands, Hampton Inn and Suites Banning-Beaumont, MainStay Suites Moreno Valley, and Lamplighter Inn (different region) all include free breakfast. A useful benefit in a region where many hotels sit along highway corridors with limited walkable dining.

Security is a MAJOR weakness here! The first incident I had was someone siphoned gas out of my truck which I reported. Second incident someone tried to break into my truck by taking a crowbar to the truck handle damaging the handle housing and around it. I reported this to the police. The front desk admitted that their security cameras are not good at all. Not only is coverage not good, but they admitted that even if captured on video not good enough quality to provide enough detail to positively identify the perpitrator. The fact that they charge for parking boggles my mind. Housekeeping quality is lackluster and only improved after I complained about inadequate cleaning. Location only gets a 2 because of the crime in the area. Otherwise it would be a 5. Nice to have In n Out, Chipotle, and Circle K very close.

Very disappointed with cleaning services. You have to request your room to be cleaned 24 hours in advance. I requested my room to be cleaned Friday morning. Today is Monday and the room is still not cleaned. When I approached the front desk for an explanation was not provided with one and was told that "we are fully booked tomorrow so we cannot clean it tomorrow (Tuesday)"

Great proximity to the Air Force base and National Cemetery. Walking distance to Starbucks, In n Out, Chipotle, etc. Very clean, spacious rooms (we had a wheelchair accessible room). Breakfast was great and all day coffee, tea and water was a nice addition. Staff was smiling, friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.

Nothing too crazy causing me to rave, but also nothing to he disappointed about.

We did appreciate the early check in - we had a long drive with our baby and were hoping to get an early check in and the front desk support helped us understand how to best get a room once available. It was so helpful to check in for the little one.

We plan to visit friends in CA from time to time and will certainly be open to staying here again when it makes sense location wise.

I was able to stay here while traveling for work. Very nice suite for an affordable price to help make traveling a little more comfortable. The Home2 suites does share the lobby and other services with the Hampton Inn which seems to be a growing trend. I'm assuming the rooms may be quite different. Breakfast was pretty good for a hotel! Room was clean, and would recommend!

This is a really nice Marriot. The room was above average. It didn't get 5 stars due to the smell of Marijuana in the hall for 3 days. I guess some dope head couldn't control themselves and had to ruin it for the rest.

Unfortunately. The stay was less than pleasant. Staff was rude and unhelpful. The man up front literally didn’t want to check us in. It lacked customer service. The room appeared clean but when you take a closer look, the floors were dirty, there was sugar or a packet of something white left in the bathroom. It was just a shame. I expected more from this location. I mean when your paying that much a night wouldn’t you think the place would be better?

-The bathroom needed some extra elbow work for deep cleaning vs. changing the moldy grout. Nevertheless, I appreciate that the rooms had more than just 2 pillows. I bet it would have been a goodnight sleep, if not for our bad timing that during our stay there also alot of guest attending an event in the convention, 12:30am we can't take it anymore and had to call the frontdesk because of the raucous noise coming from the hallway and the other room. Around 1:30am when security arrived and finally some quiet time. So I'm not sure if there's quiet time rules/restrictions in the hotel.
- We were able to take our time during the breakfast service, since it was not crowded, we did not feel rushed to get done.
- the location was really good as its just a block away from the Mission Inn. Across the convention center.

Bad experience at hotel after an employee did not do their job and basically made it seem like some sort of identity fraud was happening. Police were called. Hotel staff member called me later pretending like they would help but have gone dark on me for last 10 days. No response to emails or calls. Worst experience with a hotel staff. Very poor leadership. It’s unfortunate having to write a bad review but a little communication goes a long way, especially when you’re at fault.

Nice hotel. Great location. Staff is friendly. Walls seem to be thick, couldn't hear folks in hallway or next door. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. I love the grounds. Paying to park is the only part of disliked with it being a pricey night stay.
