San Jose and Silicon Valley Hot Tub Hotels: Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Cupertino, Campbell, and the surrounding Silicon Valley, California

Best Time to Visit

  • Spring (March–May): One of the best seasons in Silicon Valley, with mild temperatures, low rainfall, and comfortable weather for exploring the region. Tech company events and conferences are active. Good availability at most properties, with pricing at moderate levels. Book popular Cupertino and Sunnyvale properties 2–3 weeks ahead for spring weekends.
  • Summer (June–August): Warm and sunny, with temperatures in the 80s to low 90s. Peak season for tech conferences and business travel, with many companies hosting major events and customer conferences. Hotels throughout Silicon Valley see strong demand and elevated pricing. Book 4–6 weeks ahead for popular hotel weekends.
  • Fall (September–November): Excellent weather with mild temperatures and low humidity. Apple announcements typically occur in September, driving tech sector travel. The Valley remains active with tech events through the fall. A comfortable season for visiting, with good availability outside of major announcement weekends.
  • Winter (December–February): Cooler and occasionally rainy, but still mild compared to most U.S. regions. Holiday weeks see moderate business travel. January and February are the quietest months, offering the best pricing of the year at most Silicon Valley properties. Excellent season for budget travelers.
Booking tip: Silicon Valley hotels are heavily oriented toward business travel. Major tech conference schedules (CES in January, Google I/O in May, Apple WWDC in June) can fill hotels across the valley and push pricing significantly higher. Check the tech events calendar for the valley before booking. Also note that many hotels here cater to extended-stay business travelers, so some properties may have different policies or amenities compared to traditional leisure hotels.

Important Booking Tips for Silicon Valley

  • Confirm the exact room type: Hot tub and Jacuzzi rooms are specific upgrade categories at Silicon Valley hotels, and availability can vary significantly. Look for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Room," "Spa Room," or "Hot Tub King" when booking. At DoubleTree and other upscale properties, hot tub rooms may be limited and require confirmation upon booking.
  • Tech conference season effect: Major tech conferences (CES in January, Google I/O in May, Apple WWDC in June) fill hotels across the entire valley and can push pricing 50% or more above off-season rates. Book 2–3 months ahead if your trip coincides with a major event. January through April and September through November tend to be quieter, offering better availability and value.
  • Business travel orientation: Many Silicon Valley hotels cater primarily to business travelers on corporate accounts. Some properties may have stricter cancellation policies, minimum stay requirements, or may not offer weekend discounts. Confirm policies and ask about leisure travel rates when booking.
  • South valley as escape: Saratoga Oaks Lodge and Campbell Inn offer a quieter, more resort-oriented alternative to the central valley tech hub feel. Saratoga and Campbell are closer to wine country and hiking, making them good choices for couples seeking a more leisure-focused getaway rather than a business trip base.
  • Pet-friendly picks: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Jose, Juniper Hotel Cupertino Curio Collection, and Days Inn and Suites Sunnyvale all accept pets. Confirm size and breed restrictions before booking, as pet policies in Silicon Valley hotels can be strict.
  • Free breakfast included: SureStay Plus Hotel Best Western San Jose, SureStay by Best Western Morgan Hill, County Inn, Days Inn and Suites Sunnyvale, Best Western Lanai Garden Inn and Suites, Campbell Inn, Saratoga Oaks Lodge, and Rose Garden Inn San Jose Airport all include free breakfast. A meaningful benefit in the Silicon Valley market where dining is expensive.

Fantastic, classic, pride of ownership hotel with active involvement of original ownership…One of my favorite hotels of any class, anywhere and I’ve stayed here dozens of times. If Four Seasons was at the same price I’d still stay here for its location, charm, gardens, and service. Restaurant is top of the line and it’s fun to see all the artwork from owners family and Palo Alto history.

Rooms and pool area are absolutely spotless and they do a good job of keeping prices reasonable during off peak which I very much appreciate as I am budget mindful. Great well managed and reliable hotel!!

Lovely boutique hotel with a Bohemian vibe. Friendly staff, fast check-in process, spacious rooms, and decent minibars. The decor is a bit outdated but the rooms and common areas are super clean. Also offers room service, has a large heated outdoor pool, and poolside restaurant with a bar.

We had a lovely stay at Dinah's. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room next to the koi pond. When we arrived, the gentleman at the front desk handed us duck and fish food. The only downside was the shower due to fluctuating temperature. Maybe it was just that room as no one else in our party mentioned it. I would still stay there again.

This is a place for relaxation, peace, meditation and healing. People from all over the world come to. They are known for 24/7 services. The pool is heated to 85 degrees year round and the food is very good. It's a place for Stanford University Hospital patients

Old hotel. 70s architecture. Very nice people. Rooms are nicely furnished, but in a suite you get a stove and a microwave, but 2 forks and no teapot. Amazing art. Some museum-level originals, completely peerless for hotels. We all age. Some things get better with age, but not everything.
This hotel is special. The rooms are big, even for a standard room. Everything you need is in these rooms and the views are beautiful! There are elevators or stairs for upper level rooms, which make luggage carrying easy, especially for needing handicapped accommodations. There’s plenty of scenery to take pictures in and the environment is peaceful. Staff is friendly. Security measures are taken so you feel safe while staying here. You need your key card to get into your floor and you need a key card to get into your room. Elevators are outside the floor sections.

The hotel is old and dirty with multiple mosquitos in the smelly room. The cleaning team left the wet cloth on top of my clothes for a whole day. Will not recommend. After checked out no bill was sent to me.

Room housekeeping is terrible. We bave stayed at this Westin several times in the past years, but this is the first time
this happened.

We stayed at Westin Palo Alto for 3 nights for an event. The event arrangements and staff involved in helping us organize the event at Westin were extremely courteous and wonderful. Thanks to Rod and Analisse!

However we had a terrible experience with housekeeping of the rooms. Every single day we were there ( we had booked two rooms), housekeeping would take away the used linens, and place a sign ‘service in progress’ at the door and not come back to make beds, get new linen, replace coffee etc. We had to call main desk, I even went in person to front desk and yet we did not get towel sets. The lady at the front desk was also very rude and she said she will put in the request and cannot tell how long it would take. We have now waited two hours in the morning on our 3rd day here and still do not have replacements. We were in the area with a packed schedule, not having basic essentials in the room was an extreme inconvenience, especially because we had elderly parents checked in one of the rooms.

Hope this can be fixed.

The hotel requires some major updates related to sound proofing the rooms. I can hear alarms from another room as well as flushing sounds and water/shower running. The rooms are clean and staff are quite accommodating except for a couple of front desk personnel. Improvement is really needed

I absolutely loved my stay at the Westin. All of the staff were so courteous. We stayed here on a whim for a pet-friendly winter staycation in a fireplace suite. It was so cozy and the bed felt luxurious. So did the gigantic tub (with complimentary bath salts) and separate shower. Our dog liked easy access to the courtyards. The breakfast could be improved but the hotel is also walking distance to Palo Alto with tons of options around. Room service arrives in plastic containers in a paper bag… sort of shattered the illusion of a romantic vacation. But the pros outweigh the cons by a mile. The layout of the hotel is really interesting, the ground floor has a few interior courtyards with the fireplace suites in the centre. I bet it’d be cool to book all the hotel rooms in a single courtyard for a wedding or something. Thanks again for a great staycation.

Renovated hotel near Stanford campus. The staff are super friendly and did everything to accommodate our needs. I am dropping one star since the walls are really thin as others have also pointed out. I could hear everything the next room guest said on the phone, and all moves in corridors, and even people walking upstairs! It was fine for me given the quality of room and the service, but beware if you are sensitive to noise.

I got to check in pretty late on a very rainy Saturday night and was discombobulated from driving and exhausted. Jenny was the absolute best checking us in and helping us decide a good place to eat. She answered all of our parties questions and was very knowledgeable. I don't write reviews often, but was really happy with our stay!
