We recently had the most exceptional hospitality from check in to check out! GM Christopher Stamm made an amazing gesture to help make a gift to relatives even more special for their stay. Meghan at reception was so very patient with our frequent questions and repeating directions for us as we wandered through the hotel enjoying all the Christmas decor. Emily picked up on our uncertain expressions while wondering if we go left or right to the pool and watched to make sure we were on track. Marquis made the best Martini for our pre show cocktail. All bar and restaurant staff were great. Cari in housekeeping is a true asset to JSI. Cari gave us great pointers for future visits and suite options and was extremely conscientious in "fluffing" our suite. Can't thank you ALL enough!
This hotel wasn't bad but it could certainly use some improvements for the price they are asking. First off, they rely on lies and deception to sell their rooms. The hotel was even called to verify that the rooms they show in the pics are infact the one you will be getting. Well, it wasn't and we had to switch rooms because it wasn't the room pictured in the advertisement for the price paid. I believe they only have one room with the giant living room, and kitchen island that they love to show in all their images. The in room hot tub spa was quite nice and they are dog friendly. Some improvements they need to work on: they need more larger trash cans for an apartment size hotel, the oven and some of the pots/ pans were absolutely disgusting (if you offer plate ware and appliances, you have to clean them), the bed wasn't too comfortable and for some reason there was no fitted sheet on the bed (instead there were 3 flat sheets stacked up...? ), also one ice machine was out of order, and the workout room was closed at 5pm with no reason. The hotel is so unsafe at night that they have the front doors closed and locked. Good hotel for a night of partying but that is about it.
We booked a hotel room block with the Jefferson Street Inn for our wedding and all of our guests had the best time enjoying the hotel and it's connectivity and proximity to downtown Wausau! This is the best place to be able to do so much fun stuff on foot. Additionally, we were hooked up with the most amazing bridal suite with so much space, a steam room, and amazing views of Rib Mountain! All of the staff were very responsive to any questions we had prior to our stay, spot on with details when we arrived, and very sweet and friendly. The Jefferson Street Inn went above and beyond to make us and our guests comfortable and helped everyone to have a superb wedding weekend. Highly recommend!
Nice room. Building was so confusing. Multiple elevators that took you to different parts of the building and took us 20 minutes to figure out where the pool was. Incredibly small pool but the kids were happy for it.
I’ve been staying here for quite some time when I come back home to visit my family. I love the staff. I love the adjacency and location is near good food places in downtown Wausau however, the amenities and the room service has taken a dip and is not quite as Clean as it usually is and the rooms could use some servicing and updating
Booked my nephew's wedding party and guests for the weekend. What a pleasure it was to be treated like we were personal guests of the hotel staff. Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We felt like we were staying in a family member's home. Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
We were treated like family! They went above and beyond. Mick,Tao and laureate could not have been any more caring since our stay was for an unfortunate situation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!
During one of the most difficult times in our lives, this hotel became more than just a place to stay it became a source of comfort, compassion, and light. I have never met an entire team of people so genuinely kind, supportive, and emotionally present.
From the moment we arrived, they knew us all by name. They didn’t just offer hospitality they offered humanity. They sat with us at meals, listened to stories about our grandmother’s beautiful life, and shared in both our laughter and our tears. In a time filled with uncertainty and sadness, they brought us a sense of peace and connection that we will never forget.
On top of the amazing staff, the hotel itself is immaculate. It’s been beautifully redone modern, warm, and welcoming in every way. The food was exceptional, with a full bar and menu feeling more like gathering around a family table than sitting in a hotel dining area.
Booking and extending our stay was seamless and always handled with patience and care. This team made a heartbreaking time a little more bearable, and for that, we are forever grateful. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
All I can say is WOW! My family had to come here because my mother-in-law was in the hospital and we were treated like royalty. From the moment you walk in to meet Michael and TAO to the minute you sit down at the bar and have a drink or meal made by LAURETTA you are treated like family. My mother-in-law passed away during his trip and we were welcomed that day with open arms, hugs and sweet word of condolences. We were embraced by the kindest people I've ever met in my life. I would recommend this hotel to each, and every everyone of you looking for a place to get away from reality, unwind, and relax Just like you're at home. Thank you to each and everyone of you that I mentioned above and to all of the rest of the staff for serving our family humbly and full of love.
This was by far the best Marriott we have stayed at! Daniel Burg the General Manager was excellent along with Loretta in food services. They could not of been nicer and the hotel was brand new! I would highly recommend this location!
