Wife and I stayed for a few days through New Year’s because we specifically wanted something quieter and slower this year. This place fit the bill well.
First time visiting Amish Country, we felt the hotel was a decent blend of modern and traditional. It’s a building that’s clearly been around a long time but everything was well kept and the room (king with a balcony) was clean and cozy enough. All staff we encountered were very friendly, especially the manager Steve who checked us in.
Value wasn’t bad (about $140/night). We added the “taste of Amish Country” onto our reservation - not a bad value for some snacks, but honestly I guess I expected something more traditional, it seemed like a bunch of relatively processed food they threw together from the local grocery store.
The pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub were definitely older, but pleasant and well kept. The coffee machine in the lobby was a hit, with a bunch of different hot drink options. They have a newer 26 seat theater showing two movies a night (we brought our own popcorn and watched RV). Big plus that the volume wasn’t blasting!
Berlin Resort is right along Main Street, so very close to plenty of shopping, antique malls, etc. Be ready to encounter horse drawn carriages!
We will be back when the weather is warmer to enjoy walking amongst the shops and the golf. Overall, a solid 4 star experience. Thanks to the staff and management for their efforts!
We had an amazing stay. Very impressed with all the staff, from housekeepers to front desk! Steve was so personable and very attentive to our needs. My mom, husband and myself were snowed in for a few days and couldn’t have been in a better hotel in the area! We enjoyed the hot tub, games, movies and the breakfast was very good. I forgot to get the breakfast attendants name but he was amazing as well! Thank you to all the staff from Sunday Dec.28-Wed Dec. 31 that helped make the last few days 2025 special for us!
The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and modern. The staff is friendly. The pool is a bonus and so is the theater. The breakfast is delicious! I appreciate the coffee and tea service in the lobby. We were there during the Christmas holiday so we got to enjoy the lovely decorations. We will definitely be back!
We stay here at the Berlin resort a few times a year as our daughter lives just up the road. We love the convenient location, variety of room types, and activities to enjoy. We chose the 406 suite as it had a large table dining room area and separate seating area. We had the grandkids stop by and we decorated houses and cookies then walked the grounds. I miss the courtyard being fully decorated with Christmas lights, and wish I didn’t have to walk to other building for breakfast but we will stay again and recommend. Oh and the Shower in 406 was fantastic!
Staff is pleasant and friendly. They are always very helpful. I appreciate that the rooms and hotel are clean. The breakfast is good with alot of food to choose from. I absolutely love the coffee machine in the lobby!!!! The area and grounds are kept nice and look beautiful.
We had such a wonderful time. The only issue that we had was the bed could be a little softer, but we will definitely be back. Loved our stay.!!! The heart shaped tub the wood The gas fireplace. It was also so nice.
We totally enjoyed our stay! The RTS cabin was beautiful! We were instantly relaxed after opening the door and hearing the waterfall. The decor is very comfy and we didn’t lack any amenity. We felt spoiled to have our hot breakfast delivered by Donna! The only problem we encountered is that we should have booked it longer!
Can't say enough good things! We stayed in Chalet #1 and the first thing I noticed is how wonderfully clean everything was. So much attention to detail. The hot breakfast was amazing and very tasty and the sweet woman, (Crystal), who not only prepared it, but hand delivered it, has a place in my heart. Donna and her wonderful crew made our Christmas stay memorable and we're now looking forward to our next stay there. So cozy, peaceful and romantic!
Fantastic from the start. Great communication. The cabin was beautiful ,warm and welcoming, after a long snowy drive. A gas fireplace to warm up. The cabin is so comfortable and we'll thought out for your needs. You feel like you're in the trees. Only about a mile or so from town. The large jacuzzi tub was a nice touch.
We had another lovely stay at Donna's. We've stayed in the Bridal Suites and Chalets and both are inviting and comfortable. We prefer the suites a little more because you can walk to the shops in town. They really think of everything when it comes to little conveniences and touches in the rooms. And everyone is friendly, welcoming, and responsive. We start relaxing as soon as we walk in the door. I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else when we are in the area. The only small improvement I can think of would be to provide a somewhat larger dining table. There isn't much kitchen counter space so a larger table would both provide more space and allow for less cramped dining.
