Galveston Hot Tub Hotels - Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Galveston Island

Best Time to Visit

  • Spring (March–May): Peak season. Galveston's Mardi Gras celebration in February spills into early March, and spring break in March is one of the island's busiest weekends. The warm Gulf water returns in May. Book 5–7 weeks ahead for Mardi Gras and spring break weekends - Seawall Boulevard properties fill fastest.
  • Summer (June–August): Second busiest season. Texas families flock to the beaches, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Moody Gardens, and Pleasure Pier through the summer. Strong demand at Seawall and beachfront properties from June through August. Book 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August weekends.
  • Fall (September–November): Shoulder season with warm Gulf water lasting into October. Dickens on the Strand in December begins to draw interest in late November. One of the best windows for couples seeking a Jacuzzi suite at a competitive price - good availability at top-rated properties.
  • Winter (December–February): Quietest season with the lowest pricing of the year. Dickens on the Strand (early December) and Mardi Gras (February) are the two demand spikes that break an otherwise quiet winter. January offers the best rates across the island - Quality Inn Beachfront at $64/night is among the lowest beachfront Jacuzzi prices in Texas.
Booking tip: Galveston has an unusually high concentration of 9.9/10 rated Jacuzzi hotels - four properties share that near-perfect score. Prices range from $64/night at Quality Inn Beachfront to $367/night at Holiday Inn Club Vacations Beach Resort. The mainland options in Texas City and Dickinson offer top-rated Jacuzzi stays from $70–$72/night for travelers willing to drive 20–30 minutes to the island.

Important Booking Tips for Galveston

  • Mardi Gras and Spring Break (February–March): Galveston's Mardi Gras celebration and spring break are the two largest demand events on the island. Seawall Boulevard and beachfront properties fill completely - book 5–7 weeks ahead for both periods. Rates spike significantly above off-season pricing across the entire island.
  • Confirm your room type: Not all rooms in these hotels include a Jacuzzi. Look specifically for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Suite," or "Spa King" when booking to avoid a standard room at check-in.
  • Four properties share a 9.9/10 rating: Galveston has a rare concentration of near-perfect Jacuzzi hotels - Best Western Plus Seawall Inn ($105), The San Luis Resort ($269), Coppersmith Inn ($217), and Avenue O B&B ($316). Best Western Plus Seawall Inn is the most affordable of the four; The San Luis is the most complete resort experience with 4,073+ reviews.
  • Mainland for budget value: Best Western Texas City ($70, 9.8/10) and Days Inn Dickinson ($72, 9.3/10) offer top-rated Jacuzzi stays at mainland prices - 20–30 minutes from Galveston Island via I-45. Ideal for travelers who want the best possible price and are comfortable with a short drive to the beach.
  • West Beach for a quieter island stay: Holiday Inn Club Vacations Seaside Resort ($110, 9.3/10) and Comfort Suites Galveston ($142, 9.7/10) sit on the quieter western end of the island near Galveston Island State Park - ideal for couples who want a peaceful beach retreat away from the Seawall and Strand crowds.
  • Hurricane season awareness (June–November): Galveston Island is in the Gulf Coast hurricane zone. Check weather forecasts before booking summer and fall stays. Most hotels offer flexible cancellation policies during hurricane season - always confirm the cancellation terms when booking between June and November.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff is very hospitable. They even let us check in early. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and the sheets and blankets smelled good! I got the best sleep ever. The breakfast was decent and the ladies worked very hard to keep everything stocked and cleaned. For those that complain about the moisture, it’s on the sea wall. By the ocean! There was a little moisture on the main floor, but it wasn’t bad. The bathroom had a little bit of a musty smell but nothing too terrible. Also free parking for your cruise! I will definitely be using this hotel from now on when I cruise out of Galveston.

Had a conference at a hotel downtown, but they sold out. I decided that if I had to book a hotel and drive to the conference, I would get something with an ocean view. I knew the hotel was on the cheaper side and you get what you pay for. The hotel is dated and the service is hit or miss. But I got a good ocean view.

Great hotel before a cruise! Stay the night and leave your car for free. Most times cheaper than the parking at the pier. Super comfortable rooms, beds, pillows, etc.

This is a great property located at the end of Seawall Blvd. We have stayed twice and had good experiences. Clean rooms, nice staff, convenient location, and the benefit of being able to leave your vehicle on property while going on a cruise at no charge. No need to pay port parking fee. Breakfast included in the rates. They have a nice pool area we have not used due to time of year we were there.

Wish I would’ve read more reviews. We stay at Best Westerns often. Do yourself a favor and choose another Galveston hotel. We stayed here on 9/21/2023. This was our first visit to Galveston. We stayed at this location before our cruise. We didn’t have our own transportation. Yes, it’s near the beach but, if you’re looking for QUALITY eating establishments or local sights, you will walk at least 2 miles (most of them are further than 2 miles) one direction. You can however, use a ride share. The lobby and pool looked nice, though we didn’t utilize them. Our room was not nice! The carpet or the pad had been damaged so the floor was lumpy. We tried to call the front desk with the phone in our room but, it wasn’t even connected to the jack or in working order, so we used our cell phone. The furnishings were old and worn. The closet and ironing board were also musty and dated. Under the sink in the bathroom had not been cleaned. We decided that we wanted to be closer to the main sights and restaurants so we only stayed one night, switching to another property. This property makes our list of top 5 to never stay at again and so far we only have 3 on the list! One night stay was too much, especially for the cost!

Booked here the night before a cruise because of the parking and shuttle service offered to the port. Our stay was great! The lady at the front desk was very friendly, accommodating and informative. We checked in pretty late and she made the experience pleasant for us as we had been driving for the last 7 hours. The rooms were clean and comfy, I'm sure the balcony view was great but lots of fog this time. I had to take one star because of the breakfast, very few options. Either way this is a great place to stay before your cruise.

Not a bad hotel IF you are able-bodied!
Older hotel that's a bit run down, BUT you can tell improvements have been made making it adequate for able-bodied individuals.. Newer furniture, newer beds, main area of hotel was clean and attractive looking, hotel room was ok. Really worn carpeting, Accessible bathroom was nice sized and easily accessible BUT the shower has not been properly cleaned for quite awhile because when I was assisting my disabled husband to shower, the floor of the shower was so slick from years of soap scum or some other slippery residue that we both fell. Walls are also vey thin, you will hear what the people in the rooms next to you are discussing. Also do not use their shuttle service if you are disabled because for our return trip the shuttle driver left us waiting for 2 hours then knowing my husband was in a wheelchair but could transfer the only seat remaining when he did finally return for us was in the back where there was no way to load my husband. We ended up riding in a different shuttle altogether becausemy husband was already left in the heat too long (resulting in my stroke Survivor husband getting heat stroke and an emergency room and hospital stay.) Overall not a bad hotel UNLESS you are disabled in any way. If you are disabled, or even have mobility issues, it is NOT a safe place for you to stay!!!!!

The wall paper is coming off all over their building, giving it a very run-down and worn out feel. The breakfast was mediocre, but clean and fresh. The room we stayed in was adjacent to the main lobby and we heard every guest in the vaulted ceiling area loud and clear, all night long.
>> If you are staying here before a cruise, please beware. They charge you $25 per person for round-trip shuttle service. But Sergio (the driver) is a bit of a jerk. On our return to port I guess we didn't call 'soon enough' because we sat on the curb waiting for him for over an hour, and acted like it was my fault. I called several times and finally found out that he wasn't planning to get to us for another hour after that. We called an Uber that was there in 3 minutes, so we wouldn't miss our flight. Just poor communication on Comfort Suites's part, which made us sit with our luggage on concrete for 60+ minutes. Could have been avoided if they actually talked to you.

This is our favorite place to stay the night before we go on a cruise and they allow us to park in their secure parking area for the duration of our trip. They also offer a shuttle service to and from the dock. Large clean rooms and a Continental style breakfast. Highly recommend! Also great location next to the sea wall and close to lots of shopping areas.

The people that worked there were nice and the front desk was especially friendly. The room had old scratched up furniture and was run down. The caulking was coming off around the tub. Room service is on the 3rd day...we stayed two. Ugh! Would not recommend until they put some effort into a bit of a remodel. It's beside a movie theatre, which is good for the rainy days.

Galveston Hotels with Jacuzzi in the Room

Galveston has 15 hotels with in-room Jacuzzis, with rates typically between $100 and $300 per night.

The island city’s laid-back vibe makes Jacuzzi experiences ideal for weekend escapes, intimate getaways, and special occasion stays. Many waterfront properties are on or near Seawall Boulevard, so many hot tub suites have direct beach access and sweeping Gulf views.

Hot tub suites in Galveston are popular during cooler winter months, and hot soaks become favorites for in-room relaxation.

This guide helps you choose which Galveston Jacuzzi hotels are best suited for special occasion stays, couples’ retreats, or simply quiet relaxation by the coast.

Which Galveston Neighborhoods Have the Best Jacuzzi Hotels?

Our list of the best Jacuzzi hotels includes four posh hotels along the main beachfront strip of Seawall Boulevard, all with beach access and daily room rates at $100 to $260. One of them is The San Luis Resort, Spa, and Conference Center, which offers luxury Jacuzzi suites — complete with in-room Jacuzzis, champagne and roses packages, and couples’ massage services.

Along San Luis Pass and towards the West End, three resort-style hotels are tucked in more secluded locations, including Holiday Inn Club Vacations Seaside Resort and Diamond Beach. Both resorts have fewer crowds, so guests can enjoy more privacy and comfort for a stress-free stay. Daily rates are a bit on the higher end, though at an average of $200 to $350 per night.

Near the popular Moody Gardens and the historic Strand District at the East End, boutique properties have more character. Among the budget Jacuzzi hotels in Galveston that have this local charm is Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, with in-room Jacuzzi suites costing only around $100 per night. Our list includes three stays you can explore in the area.

What Types of Jacuzzi Suites in Galveston Are Available?

Finding heart-shaped Jacuzzi tubs in the city is like searching for a needle at the bottom of the sea, and many tubs are located inside standard bathroom layouts. However, there are some hotels with a hot tub in the bedroom. For one, the Victorian-styled Coppersmith Inn Bed & Breakfast has in-room jetted tubs, along with a heated outdoor pool and gas fire pit.

Near Galveston Beach at the Strand, Spark by Hilton and Quality Inn & Suites provide cozy rooms for a romantic escape with a private hot tub and spa-style amenities. Several rooms in both hotels have waterfront views.

Some mainland hotels, which are a short drive from the island city, offer more affordable accommodations compared with private hot tub hotels on the island. Days Inn by Wyndham at Dickinson and Best Western at Texas City, for instance, have rooms that average about $70 per night. Plus, both have upscale rooms with in-room Jacuzzis.

When’s the Best Time to Book a Jacuzzi Suite in Galveston?

Hot tubs and Jacuzzis are popular in Galveston all year round, but demand increases during the winter months when sea temperatures drop and cooler evenings make luxury comfort in-room more appealing.

Peak season runs from May through August, when beach crowds come in to stave off the summer heat. December to February can be crowded too, with tourists streaming in for Dickens on The Strand and Mardi Gras. These festivals make Jacuzzi suites pricier and harder to book.

Spring and early fall typically bring better Jacuzzi hotel deals, especially for weekday stays. Weekend rates can be double the standard rates (often around $100 more), especially during peak seasons and festival weekends when the island gets packed with tourists. It’s best to book at least two to three weeks in advance to get the best Jacuzzi rooms.

Which Galveston Jacuzzi Hotels Offer Special Packages?

Many romantic hotels in the city offer anniversary specials and packages for various occasions. At Avenue O Bed and Breakfast, you can request chocolate-covered strawberries and fresh flowers for $50 or birthday balloons for $20.

Combining resort and spa amenities, The San Luis Resort is one of the most popular couples’ hotels with a Jacuzzi in Galveston. It also offers a wide variety of special packages, including Romance on the Beach, which comes with a $100 gift card, and Island Explorer for family getaways.

Choosing weekend getaway hotels in Galveston is about finding the right Jacuzzi suite that matches your preferences. A private hot tub in a room in the East End brings quiet relaxation surrounded by the city’s historic charm. Galveston Jacuzzi hotels in the West End let you enjoy quieter resort-style stays. Waterfront properties at Seawall Boulevard provide sweeping Gulf views right from private hot tubs.
