I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through or visiting West Virginia & best part of it all is that tha Hampton inn doesn't break the Bank! I normally don’t write one of these. This is actually my first review if that tells you anything but I am so disappointed in this place that I can’t keep from right now. I stayed here with my children last night paid $200 to stay here the hot tub was closed, my children were not allowed to use the fitness room at all actually got kicked out of it then the following morning they close the pool down so that all the children that were in the hotel we have to leave because they’re happy to be a baseball tournament or something and flat out told us it was closed because they didn’t want the children in there that was in there last night I have never been so disappointed in my life in a place

We had a wonderful + attentive stay! The pool/hot tub + fitness center we’re clean + some of the best I’ve utilized from a hotel service. Great breakfast options, good coffee, nice parking, accessible location, generous staff. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great service, clean rooms. Facilities are a little worn down and the elevator seems to be a consistent issue. Breakfast was okay (I always wish they were better than they are, no matter where). Interesting location, but easy to get to and from.

My family and I stayed here for a night and wow! They had space for our semi and was very accommodating. The breakfast girl gave my husband some breakfast for us while we were waiting to check in. Thanked him and all truckers for what they do. Room was clean, outside looked nice and breakfast was delicious. Will definitely recommend it to others and stay there again!

Stayed here for the first time and it’s not awful but it’s not great, outside looks wonderful and even the lobby was nice. They were accommodating to our two dogs at check in but upon arrival to the room, as soon as we opened the door…the first thing I could smell was maybe like dog pee? With it being a pet friendly hotel or just musty old carpet smell? Not sure but it wasn’t great. The designated dog area is small and filthy! It’s covered in poop because there are no bags in the trash can. The room was clean, just had an awful smell and was HOT! Our ac did blow out cold air but it never got very cold in there. The front desk staff was friendly; and the amenities are good but it’s definitely an older hotel and I think they should rip up all the carpet!! Definitely was not the best design choice for a pet friendly place.

Loved the location and the staff was excellent, very customer service oriented. Breakfast wasn’t bad. There was a breakfast attendant serving hot items. There’s also a self serve waffle (and mini waffle) machine. Parking is free. What I wasn’t quite a fan of, was my pet friendly room. There was a huge stain on the carpet, the air conditioning/heater unit had some white ‘stuff’ inside. Could it have been mold, I’m not sure. The thing I didn’t notice right away, was main door. There were dried pee stains that weren’t cleaned. I have photos but have decided to spare the visual. It’s a shame, because I would love to give this hotel a better review just for the staff alone.

It's not a bad place, room was clean and ready when we arrived. You can tell the halls/rooms are older, they could use fresh paint and the carpets have seen better days, but it's clean and relatively comfortable. It did the trick for a last min room, but I wouldn't aim to go back. Breakfast was fine, but there wasn't much left when we arrived. The staff at breakfast was all amazing and worked very hard, they were amazing and going out of their way to try to help everyone beyond expectations. When we arrived there was a super long line for check in, found it odd that there seemed to be at least 4 people working and only one was checking people in, hopefully they were doing their own duties, but it still seemed odd. The one woman who was checking people in was also making a huge fuss, super dramatic and acting out of breath (she was sitting at a computer, but might as well been running a marathon), being extremely rude and not a single customer was upset so not sure why she was acting that way, but it was slightly irritating. Fabreez in the rooms would also go a long way or just trying to clean the carpets, it's not dirty, but old carpet smell is very noticeable.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in West Virginia, and I must say that it was a memorable experience. The people at the front desk were incredibly welcoming and helpful, setting a positive tone for the entire stay. The fellow guests at the hotel were also friendly, and it was a delight to interact with them.

One highlight of my stay was the hot breakfast, which was served with a smile by the wonderful staff, Penny and Sarah. They took care of our breakfast personally. They made the breakfast experience truly enjoyable with their warm hospitality. The breakfast options were abundant and satisfying.

The only issue I encountered during my stay was related to the room. I had booked a king room but was given a queen room instead. This made for a somewhat uncomfortable night's sleep, as my toddler kept rolling to the edge. I understand that this might have been due to a third-party booking, and the hotel staff should have ensured that the room I booked was available. I'll be addressing this with the third-party booking service.

Despite this hiccup, my overall experience at the hotel was positive, thanks to the friendly people I encountered and the delightful breakfast. I would certainly consider staying here again in the future, and I hope the room booking issue can be resolved for a more seamless experience.
