Verified reviews for Ontario hotels with Jacuzzi and hot tub in room
Every staff member I encountered was excellent. Their attention to a high level of service is something you just don’t see at so many hotels these days.
I wanted to originally give a lower rating because of a problem that happened (actually caused by another guest, not the hotel) but management took care of it quickly.
The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was cozy, with several huge pillows. The bathroom, which had a step-in shower, was nice and modern. The toiletries included hand wash, body lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. A box in the bathroom also held useful items that people may forget/not have, including a pack of q-tips and a small sewing kit.
We called down in the morning and they extended our checkout to noon with no issues. Checkout with Rochelle was a breeze, she said they would email the receipt to me and we were on our way.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in a central location (Union station is about a 5 minute walk away).
The hotel is a boutique hotel with some 20+ rooms very well maintained, decorated and clean. It is not your typical hotel, maybe research “boutique hotel” to understand better but think about it as a hybrid version of a bed and breakfast and a hotel. It is a repurposed building from the 1870s so it has a lot or character.
Sabina, the owner was fantastic. She was working the front counter herself and was very helpful with anything I needed. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cozy and private stay in Ottawa for business.
All in all, I applaud and congratulate Sabrina for creating and managing a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of the city.
After that she double charged my credit card saying that the second reservation we had, which was cancelled within the time allowed to cancel and only for 3 days...she charged penalties as it would be 6 day reservation!!!
If you are not happy with Expedia...pulled your hotel from the program. Don't scam your guests inventing booking info to more money for your purpose. If you don't like Canada ...well......the world is big enough to find a better place for you, your family and your business.
Definitely recommended and will stay here again during my next visit! ♥️
Now for the outside. Yikes. ?
I wondered why, when we first arrived, you needed to push an intercom, be buzzed in, and then be buzzed in a second door. Obviously, once you get checked in and get a key, you can freely let yourself in and out. But, wow. This neighborhood! It is not somewhere I would walk alone or at night AT ALL. There are homeless everywhere, and they are actively doing drugs in the middle of the sidewalk, even in broad daylight. This is not a good location despite the close walking distance to ByWater Market and the other attractions. Which is a pity for the owner because she was so incredible! The hospitality really can't be beat here. I really hope the city cleans it up around there for the hotel's sake.
The staff and the owner Sabina were wonderful. We had to stay an extra night than planned and Sabina made that so simple. The complimentary coffee in the morning was lovely. It's so close to the Rideau Centre, Parliament and Byward Market.
We will return!
