The driveway to the Inn was hard to miss- very well-marked. Windy and asphalt, lined with lamps.

Almost like coming home. VERY homey and welcoming exterior.

Check-in was directly with the owners Andrew and Elizabeth and the Inn was very quiet when we arrived. Beautiful great room/welcome foyer. A lot of board games, puzzles and coffee table books to keep you occupied for hours.

The room was very very clean and furnished beautifully! The soap in the bathroom was from a charity group that donates 1 bar of soap per container of soap sold, and it even shows you a code that you can look up to see where your soap container donated a bar of soap. One of the soaps from our bathroom donated 1 bar of soap to Haiti.

The food and service were so delicious and also easy to set up; the ordering via email and the receiving of the food in our room for a private meal was not complicated and extremely accommodating. We received the food within 5-10 minutes of the arranged time. It was piping hot!

We ordered a charcuterie board, lamb chops, salmon, beet salad, and a dessert sampler. All were amazingly tasty and would definitely recommend it!

A noteworthy thing was that it was the owner herself who was serving us!

4 stars on the location because although it is indeed closer to Purdue campus, there are no bus stops nearby, nor are there many restaurants or any other businesses nearby. You must have a car to stay here so you can drive to the places you need to be at.

I enjoyed my stay at the Whitaker Inn. I came for a job interview, and this was offered as compared to a traditional hotel, and it was a great decision. I loved the delicious food, lamb and salmon were great, crab cake as well. We stayed on Brazil room, with a view to the nature surrounding the hotel. Thank you, Elizabeth, for this nice getaway for my interview. I will come back.

Such a beautiful place to stay! Rooms are gorgeous, love the different countries represented in the decor of each room. Just the overall location is fabulous. A beautiful property with lovely paths through the woods to walk; and close to the Purdue Campus which was so very convenient for our group's visit. The Whittaker's are lovely hosts. I will definitely come stay here again!

Great little boutique hotel in a quiet area not far from campus. My only issue is with all the hardwood floors you hear every step. I would recommend staying on the second floor so you don't have people above you making noise like we did. Also whatever cleaners they use are super strong smelling so if you are sensitive to that like I am it may be a bit overwhelming. The breakfast was great, loved the free snacks and drinks. Will definitely stay here again if I can't get a room at the Union.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here and the Tuscany suite was absolutely stunning! The attention to detail and cleanliness was top notch. From the moment we pulled up, we knew we'd have a great time. The place was comfortable and welcoming. Elizabeth was wonderful and a pleasure to talk to. She made sure we had everything we needed. I enjoyed the boardgames, pool table, and view. Chef Andrew foods were delicious and elevated.! We will definitely be returning and telling our friends about this amazing gem 💎

Read this before making a reservation (It could be the cheapest option in the area, but it is not worth it). I had a terrible experience on Dec 2023. I made a reservation for a room with two double beds for four people for my family. When we arrived, we noticed that the beds were extremely small for two people (thin people), so I had to stay with a friend in Lafayette and leave my other three relatives sleeping in the two beds. Because of that, I decided to change the reservation to two nights instead of four and at the beggining they refused to make the change and give me a refund because they said that I had to contact Booking. I called Booking explaining the situation, the representative was very friendly and understood the situation, in order to make the change they only needed approval from the front desk to cancel the reservation. However, the hotel worker was refusing to approve the change in the reservation, and I had to talk with the manager. They did not refund the full amount the Booking representative told me I would receive because the hotel decided to change the rate per night if I decided to modify the reservation which is absurd. In addition, during check out (which took me about 2h between calls with Booking and the manager), I saw another guest at the front desk complaining about the rates the hotel gave him initially, which were totally different than what he had to pay and requesting to speak with the manager.
Avoid at all cost!

one of the best experiences I have ever had in a hotel!
the place looked great when husband and I pulled in. he does hot shot trucking for a living and has to pull a 40 ft trailer and had no problems finding extra space to park overnight.
check in was nice and easy. staff was very friendly and helpful. room was nice and clean, bed very comfortable! I would most definitely recommend this place!

The handle that was supposed to turn on the shower in my room was broken. It wouldn't turn the water on at all, and the handle would literally fall off. My plan was to shower in my last hour before check out, so I unfortunately didn't have time to deal with this. I informed a worker about the shower when I checked out, but I wasn't offered any kind of discount for this amenity I paid for but did not receive. I think I should have been given a discount.

I used to work here. I'm sure things are different now but the property, staff, and location was wonderful! I can't say that for other hotel chains I have worked for. Safety and guest relations is my primary goal when working for such establishments. This particular hotel was top notch on both!
