If you enjoy being woke up multiple times by house keeping because they want you out of your room to clean it, this is the place. Even after we told her the first time we wouldn’t be checking out until the check out time of 11:00. She came back two more times. The heat didn’t work and we froze all night. The toilet seat looked melted. Would not stay here again. Be warned.

Staff were excellent, positive, & willing to help in any way. Breakfast was hot with foods needing to be hot, had great choices. The handicapped room even had a shower chair - MUCH appreciated! Overall a very positive experience.

This place really needs a deep clean or renovation or something. For the price it is not worth staying here. And if you have babies who need a crib, I’d just bring your own pack n play. I have been to hotels who literally have a collapsible crib not a pack n play. An actually collapsible crib and again for the. Price of $134 tax included I shouldn’t have to put my daughter in a pack n play that looks like It was left my someone else and the hotel decided to offer It to visitors without cleaning it. There were crumbs in it the and the netting was stained. The best part of the stay was that it was a room with a bed even with the hairs I found. The bathroom smelled of urine, there were hair on the bed, the pack n play situation, and also who decided to put a bright outdoor light by the window of a room? Everyone was super nice and you are quite literally by everything but the comfort was missing from this stay for sure. I Lysol every room I stay at and I definitely need a new can after this. They should burn that pack n play and buy a nicer one or get a collapsible crib. They do exist. And that carpet needs to go.

I walked in here last night after dining at the nearby Texas Roadhouse to get a room and the girl at the desk automatically offered the prices of thier rooms and added that there are cheaper rooms next door. I guess I look like I can't afford a room(???). After I told her the price was fine, she informed me that there would be a $250 cash deposit. I walked out. She fully insulted me. I stay at hotels regularly as I travel for my job. I feel like talking to her manager this morning. We opted to stay at the nearby LaQuinta, which was very nice. All I can say, is she needs not judge a book by the cover. I do fine financially and I'm also a top 10% Google reviewer.
Nice size suite. Beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly. However, the carpet was filthy. It was hard to relax and fall asleep thinking the rest of the place may be filthy too. I don't think they've ever had the carpets cleaned. Wear shoes at all times. Just gross!

My family and I came to stay here the 16th of this month for my son's boot camp graduation. We arived about 8pm and the lady at the front desk was very rude. Over talked my husband when he was trying to give out reservation number. She aggressively said we don't look it up that way. He was embarrassed as there were other people in the waiting area. There was mold on the wall in the bathroom above the tub, the lamps were stained, the sheets and blanket had stains, the floor had stains all over and I knocked cob webs out of the corner. I usually always stay at a choice hotel but this was terrible. The only good thing about this location is the ladies that were working the front desk in the morning were very nice. I took pictures of everything and plan to call about this.

Was on a weekend motorcycle trip with friends. We Love most Country Inn & Suites & usually stay at these when traveling.
This one in particular, rooms are dated & needs a refresh. The carpet in our room was worn out & had spots in various places. The door to our room looks like a 5 year old painted it. The shower curtain would Not stay closed & water would end up on tile floor & onto carpet by bathroom door.
Very disappointed in this location. 😞

I had my wedding reception at 1857 and it was incredible! We booked all of the rooms in the hotel and the two condos across the street. All of the 1857 staff was incredible and eager to make our wedding reception perfect! I HIGHLY recommend them for any event you’re wanting to have or just to book a place to stay downtown — the rooms are beautiful.

Had a perfectly fine time staying 3 nights at the 1857. The location is great for downtown Paducah however for holiday stay we found it to be hit or miss with some attractions and places close to eat closed thanksgiving AND the day after. Luckily we were visiting family so could travel a little for food and coffee but that seems like something they could offer in their downstairs full bar - turn it into a small coffee shop during the morning.
Also the full bar/ cocktail lounge area was fine and nice to know was there. They had live music when we were there but the bar was a little lacking in personality. They didn’t have any menus or suggested drinks which can be hard for a person who doesn’t drink often and likes to see a list and ingredients and pick something.
The other bars in the area were fine but if you don’t want to go far they could step it up.

The room was huge. The king bed was amazingly comfy and they had a cool open shower and bath situation. That was at first stunning and cool to look at but quickly turned tricky when you went to take a bath and there was nothing to hold the steam in so you’re freezing your little butt off in the open air. Also the bath looks cool but the faucet is in the middle so if you like to sit in the tub while it fills up it’s very awkward. And the floor doesn’t drain well so don’t drop your towel.

Overall fine location and nice little boutique hotel spot. Would consider staying again but would recommend to management to at least get an espresso machine and a drip coffee maker downstairs and to have a list of recommended drinks at the bar.

We had our daughters wedding here this past weekend! It was an amazing experience! The staff and the rooms were immaculate. The staff was so helpful and accommodating to us and our vendors. I highly recommend using this space for any event!

If you want to get any sleep stay someplace else. The walls are paper thin. We slept across the hall from someone coughing and hacking all night and morning. We left earlier than we had planned due to the annoyance. I informed the manager and she giggled and said sorry. The room was also cold and the thermostat wasn’t working. They didn’t have the bar open due to having an event the night before but they didn’t clean up after the event so you had to walk over a dirty floor to get to your room. There must have been a food fight at this event because there was food all over the floor. This is not your typical hotel which was why we chose to stay there. It’s close to downtown, has a unique design and I loved the original artwork throughout. If you absolutely have to stay here, cross your fingers and lower your expectations.

Cool old renewed hotel. Need to be able to use some stairs. Bar is not open on Sundays. Very nice employees. Hotel is clean & they have Beekman soap & hair & conditioners to use. Walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants, museums & river murals.
