Long Beach Hot Tub Hotels — Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Long Beach and the greater Los Angeles South Bay area

Best Time to Visit

  • Summer (June–August): Peak season. The Long Beach Grand Prix in April and summer beach crowds drive the strongest demand of the year. Seal Beach, Huntington Beach, and Long Beach waterfront hotels fill quickly on summer weekends. Book 4–6 weeks ahead for July and August stays at oceanfront and Seal Beach properties.
  • Spring (March–May): Strong demand around the Long Beach Grand Prix (April) and spring break. A popular time for couples combining Queen Mary visits with a downtown Long Beach Jacuzzi stay. Good mid-week availability even during peak spring events.
  • Fall (September–October): Excellent shoulder season with warm Southern California temperatures and lighter crowds than summer. One of the most comfortable times for a beachside Jacuzzi stay along Pacific Coast Highway. The Pacific Inn in Seal Beach and Hampton Inn Seal Beach see strong demand through October.
  • Winter (December–February): Quietest season with the lowest pricing across most of the market. January and February offer the best rates at Hotel Royal, Hotel Current, and suburban properties in Bellflower and Cypress. A pleasant mild-weather window for a budget Jacuzzi getaway in Southern California.
Booking tip: The Long Beach metro Jacuzzi market spans from $75/night near Knott's Berry Farm to $419/night at Sea & Sand Inn (Santa Cruz). Within the core Long Beach area, prices range from $75 (Super 8 Cypress) to $205 (Green Ginger Guest House). The Pacific Inn in Seal Beach ($126, 9.2/10) is the highest-rated value pick in the market. Hotel Royal in the East Village Arts District ($84, 9.4/10) is the best combination of price and rating in all of Long Beach.

Jacuzzi Configurations in Long Beach

  • Bathroom-installed spa tub (most common): Jacuzzi integrated into the hotel bathroom. Found at Hotel Royal, The Westin Long Beach, Hampton Inn Seal Beach, The Pacific Inn, Aspire Inn Studios & Spas (select rooms), Super 8 Cypress, The Green Ginger Guest House, and OceanView Motel Huntington Beach.
  • In-bedroom Jacuzzi: Tub placed in the room itself. Found at Hotel Current, Coast Motel, Aspire Inn Studios & Spas, Deluxe Inn Hawthorne, Aqua Venture Inn, Passport Inn Whittier, and Mid City Inn and Suites.
  • Private outdoor garden hot tub (rare): Found exclusively at The Green Ginger Guest House in Playa del Rey — which also offers a jetted tub in the bathroom, making it the only dual-configuration property in the market.

Important Booking Tips for Long Beach

  • Long Beach Grand Prix (April): The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is one of the largest street circuit races in North America and fills downtown Long Beach hotels completely. Book 6–8 weeks ahead if your stay overlaps with Grand Prix weekend — Hotel Royal and The Westin Long Beach are among the first to fill.
  • Confirm your room type: Not all rooms in these hotels include a Jacuzzi. Look specifically for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Suite," or "Spa King" when booking to avoid a standard room at check-in, particularly at larger properties like The Westin and Hampton Inn Seal Beach.
  • Hotel Royal for the best value in downtown Long Beach: At $84/night with a 9.4/10 guest rating, Hotel Royal in the East Village Arts District is the highest-rated and best-value Jacuzzi hotel in Long Beach — significantly cheaper than The Westin while carrying a higher guest score. The art deco design adds character not found at chain hotels in the area.
  • Seal Beach for a quieter coastal stay: The Pacific Inn and Hampton Inn Seal Beach offer Jacuzzi suites in Seal Beach's quieter beach community — away from downtown Long Beach's convention traffic and without the density of Huntington Beach. Ideal for couples who want coastal access with a more relaxed pace.
  • The Green Ginger Guest House for a unique experience: This Playa del Rey guest house near Marina del Rey is the only property in the broader Long Beach market offering both an in-bathroom jetted tub and a private outdoor garden hot tub. A distinctive romantic stay for couples who want a beach house atmosphere near LAX without paying resort prices.
  • Best budget options: Super 8 Cypress ($75/night) and Mid City Inn Pico Rivera ($76/night) are the most affordable Jacuzzi hotels in the metro, though both are inland suburban properties. Hotel Royal ($84/night, 9.4/10) is the best budget option with a strong guest rating and a central Long Beach location.

BED BUGS AT THE COVE! First pic is a bed bug I saw on my boyfriend’s shirt as we were laying in bed!

We are incredibly bitten up by bed bugs, itchy, down about $700 in hotel fees, and currently trying to find another hotel because of bed bugs at The Cove Hotel in Long Beach, CA.

Sometime between 7-9 a.m. this morning, I noticed what I thought was a bug, scurrying across our bedsheets. I saw it moving, and thought it was lint because once I put my phone’s flashlight on it put, it stopped moving. I brushed it off the bed thinking might have been a one-off.

At approx. 10:06 am, I noticed a bug on my boyfriend’s shirt as we were laying in the bed and I told him. We immediately pulled back the sheets and looked in the bed, and found several other bugs of varying sizes!

My boyfriend went down to the lobby to notify the front desk. Ester, the receptionist, offered a delayed refund, which she said could take up to 7 days, and did not offer other solutions or accommodations, or even acknowledged the inconvenience for that matter. She also said we would need to leave and find another hotel because the hotel was at capacity.

My boyfriend wanted to speak to a manager about the incident. And Ester said the hotel manager does not work on the weekends and will only come in the event of an emergency. She said the only way she could speak to the hotel manager is if she called the police because he can’t be contacted on the weekend and he lives over an hour away.

My boyfriend offered to call the police in order to speak to a manager. Ester ended up calling the police because the hotel manager is “only accessible” on the weekends if the police are called.

At approximately 10:45 a.m. this morning, the police officers arrive. Ester repeated what she said to the officers about not being able to call manager unless the police were called.

HOWEVER, Ester, told the police that she TEXTED the manager about the incident and the manager said to call the police before she called them.

Earlier, she told my boyfriend that she couldn’t contact the manager unless the police were called.

At 11:30 am, we get a checkout receipt from Ester, and ask for documentation of notes that she took about the incident. In her notes, she lied and said that we immediately received our refund, which we have not.

We’re currently driving around Long Beach looking for other accommodations.

I LOVE this hotel! I've been a travel agent for over 31 years and this hotel is amazing. Not only is the staff phenomenal, the rooms are generously sized, very well appointed, and the property is centrally located great for both proximity to the airport as well as the Long Beach and San Pedro cruise passenger terminals. Do not hesitate to book this hotel.. The Cove is one of the best hotels in Long Beach!

Wonderful place! Great value and an eye to detail that makes it feel comfortable. It comes down to the little things and it really seems like whoever runs this place "gets it."

My only complaint: get better towels! Towels were tiny and thin. What is this, a towel for ants?

Had a great stay at The Cove. The staff were really friendly and extremely helpful. We had drinks at the bar; Brian, our attending bartender, was exceptional and provided us with local directions to our destinations and recommended many local spots. The breakfast burrito was fresh and delicious. The hotel is very close to the main train station. If we were to return to Long Beach, you would definitely be at the top of our list. Your hotel is definitely a five-star in my book. Thank you for the greatest hospitality given to our group.

The photos they show in advertisements make this place look like an oasis and hmm yeah you could say it is because it's in the middle of a pretty rough area but it's not luxurious as it seems.

The rooms are spacious and even have a living room but the furniture is pretty dated. Don't even get me started on how noisy that bed was, literally cracking with every turn.

The room was clean and it smelled like bleach a little too much but I prefer that to a dirty place.

The burritos at the restaurant are delicious. Fran is wonderful, I gave a 4 star for service just because Fran is a 5 star but the people at the front desk are between a 2 and 3, especially the girl who checked us in.

The pool area is nice but we didn't experience it. They play pretty loud music all day and you can hear it in your room because the walls are thin.

The property itself is nice and has a relaxing vibe! Feels like a little vacation spot and very secure. It was so easy to book and Victoria at the front desk is amazing. The bartender Thai makes some good drinks. The food was good and also reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and bed was super comfortable. They definitely exceeded our expectations and we will be back for another stay.

tldr: amazing stay and we will return.

Stayed here before a cruise and was amazed at the quality of the hotel! James working the front desk was beyond helpful and friendly (even when dealing with our giant group of 11, including cranky children). Yaneth, our housekeeper was quick to bring us extra towels and such as needed.
The rooms were incredibly clean and well stocked with toiletries, the pool was clean and had plenty of seating and towels. The bar was quick with drinks and staff was very friendly.
Overall, wonderful experience!

We LOVE this hotel!! It is perfect in EVERY way! Close to the beach, the pool view is phenomenal, the balconies are perfect for morning coffee or late night conversations, and the rooms are ALWAYS clean with very modern decor. The staff is always friendly, and every room has a great view. Can't beat the price either! ?

We stay at the Cove as it is very close to my daughter in Long Beach. The rooms are very nice and the beds are extremely comfortable especially for us that need a firmer bed. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pool looks beautiful. You do have to pay for parking, and the bathroom counter is not big enough to put more than 1 shaving kit, but we will return again and again. Our favorite

First of all, its brand new property so well designed and sharp. There is lot of leisure setup to relax and enjoy the property. Pool is nice, even biz centre. Bfast is fine. Staff is courteous , Marco was friendly in assisting with info. Ample parking and well lit. Location is nice and near to couple of good restraunts nearby. Worst the stay for biz and leisure. Its a common property बन homewood and hampton, half and half.

Pros: clean rooms, helpful staff, location was where I needed to be at.

Cons:

Strong perfume scent throughout lobby & first floor as though they have a machine pumping out perfume 24/7. I smelled like the lobby for about an hour after walking through it on my way to my other activities for the day.

Despite calling ahead to confirm that the laundry detergent used on their linens was unscented, the sheets did have a smell to them. All my clothes still smell like the hotel after returning home and being washed multiple times. While we were in the room, both my husband and my throats hurt and our eyes watered. Most likely from scented dryer sheets or fabric softener which clings to fabric and is difficult to remove.

I would REALLY appreciate it if hotels would stop perfuming everything to create a "customer experience." The only experience I want is to be able to stay someplace clean and unscented which does not trigger respiratory issues, asthma, migraines, eczema, etc.

FYI there is a third set of shades hidden behind the first two curtains. I didn't notice it until I asked the front desk staff about it. The control for the A/C unit is a wall thermostat. Both Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites are connected to the same lobby and share common areas like the pool and parking.

Privacy violated, sleep ruined, management silent. During my stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton, housekeeping entered my room without knocking or announcing, while I was in the bathroom and unclothed. Front desk brushed it off as a supervisor “mix-up,” which is an unacceptable breach of privacy. Then on 2/15 at about 12:10 a.m., I was jolted awake by continuous knocking for several minutes. A staffer claimed there was a noise complaint and told me to open my door so they could “investigate.” I had been asleep and there was no noise. I refused to open the door and called the front desk, only to get vague answers. Shaken and unable to sleep, I went downstairs and was met by a visibly annoyed front desk employee who interrupted me, talked over me, and blamed me for the situation. I was told only the general manager would come to my room, yet the next morning housekeeping knocked again asking if they should come back later. Repeated intrusions made me feel unsafe and disrespected. The hotel said they would make things right, but they never did. The token notion of adjusting one night does not address the repeated late-night disturbance, privacy breach, and poor treatment. I requested a full refund and equivalent compensation in points. The general manager, Sergio Lee, has not responded to me since February 14. If anyone responsible is reading this, please contact me for the details and to finally resolve this. Do not stay here if you value privacy, basic courtesy, and a full night’s sleep.

If you need accomodations near Long Beach Airport this is your spot. Rooms are well appointed and include a small fridge. Good blackout blinds and easy to control AC which actually gets cool enough to sleep. There's an immaculately clear pool and hot tub which is hidden and private. The front desk staff were friendly and when I approached with a question the day after we checked in the receptionist remembered my room number and name without even being told. I've never had that happen before even in small hotels! The only reason I rated the service four stars was the breakfast. It was pretty basic. No cheese or salsa or hot sauce. Basic white bread and bagels. Potatoes were dry. Oatmeal runny. Fruit but no bananas. Not a deal breaker and we'd definitely stay there again.

The location is within walking distance of shopping, dining and even the lgb airport. They charge $18 a day extra for parking even if you’re staying at the hotel. The lobby was nice & that had me hopeful of the room. Quick down slide from there. One reason I had booked was for the advertised down bedding. Upon entering my $300 nt (plus $18 parking!) I found a very basic room. Furniture was arranged awkwardly with TV on the side. No down bedding, only pillows & the bedding was a bit tattered w/many snags on the comforter ( just look how old the label is on the bedding) This was only slightly above Super 8 quality. If the price was more reasonable ($125-$140) I might stay here again, but For $300 plus $18 parking on a Monday night, not a chance!

We were there for 3 nights. On our first night, the sheet did not fit our mattress. We turned the sheet around thinking it could be on the wrong way. Nope. We woke up through the night with the fitted sheet all off the mattress. On the morning as we left for the day, we stopped at the fro t desk to ask for new sheets that actually fit our bed. We poke with a manager, she informed us that they cannot do that. But, can give us sheets so we can make our own bed. Seriously!!! Wow. Top quality here.
I submitted a firm online to state our unhappiness to Hilton. They sent an auto respond that they will investigate and get us a respond on 3 days. Here we are a week later and nothing.

Do yourself a favor and stay across the street at the Marriott.

Highly recommend it! The hotel rooms are clean and spacious. Elevators are fast and functioning no long lines. The bathroom is clean and bright. The breakfast hours are customary offering eggs, meat, breads, fruits, cereals, juices, etc. Amenities are easy to access and functional. The staff is friendly and helpful. We even needed a ball needle for a volleyball game and the maintenance crew found one and helped us!

Unfortunately for a great hotel they do NOT have cameras anywhere in the parking lot so if your car gets robbed there is nothing they can do.

Staff is great and the area is one of the best to be in but it being safe and having some sort of comfort knowing you are staying at a huge chain hotel but they don’t even have cameras or any security so beware. They do not prove match as well so even if you screenshot Priceline they just auto send an email denying your claim without any help.

Staff decided to help others and I was the only one patiently waiting in line. After checking in to my room, I asked the front desk if I could get my bathroom cleaned as it smelled like pee, they informed us, they could not fit us into their schedule. Parking was $14 a day and room already expensive. As a business owner myself and coming to this facility on business, this was not a pleasant stay at all! Since the hotel was a split hotel, my family and I ended up moving and staying an additional 7 days ( which they consider) on the better side, it was no different. Just wore my review on the Homewood Suites as well. Just horrible! I would NEVER refer any of my colleagues to stay at the Hampton in Long Beach.

Stayed one night before a cruise. Amazing property! Super close to the airport and the shuttle picked us up quickly. We had preselected our room and had our key sent to our phones so we skipped the front desk altogether. Love that! Immaculately clean, nice decor, beautiful pool area and a big screen in the lobby/breakfast area with comfy chairs where I watched the game. Our room was spacious with two queen beds and an enormous bathroom with a space saving and cute pocket door. Great breakfast in the morning and a short walk to whole foods and other shopping. California Fish grill and Habit burger across the street. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely stay again.

Had a pleasant stay for 3 nights here. Great location that is close to most of the necessities. Parking was $14 a night and there’s ample parking solace. Rooms were clean and secured. Reps at front desk were responsive and helpful. Would stay again.

This was a 5 star experience. Super close to the airport. Affordable and beautiful. Nice outdoor area and games, pool and hot tub. All toiletries were provided. Great breakfast (hot) in the morning. They also have a shuttle to and from the airport.
