I’m pretty disappointed. I am here tonight and tomorrow night. I have already paid 400ish dollars for the 2 nights. The thing that really bothers me is a) the lack of plugs for my devices. And more importantly b) the plugs that they DO have are ALL LOOSE! Like non of my plugs plugged in and stayed in the sockets. It was ridiculous. I mean not just one or two but ALL OF THE PLUGS IN THE ROOM. In addition, they really seriously need to update and add usb plugs. Outside of that, the staff is friendly and the room is clean. Also there are ZERO trash bags in the tiny tiny trash cans. I’m never staying here again.
You know what? The Doubletree cookies really are as good as they say they are. The shower pressure was wonderful, good enough to please Kramer and Jerry. It is a good hotel, although an expensive stay. The only issue, that was corrected with earplugs, no problem, was a low hum from the HVAC system, but definitely not a dealbreaker. Comfortable beds, nice staff, convenient to everywhere. But expensive. We had crawfish at Dwight's, excellent, and then ice cream at the last remaining Borden ice cream shop in the United States. We would stay here again IF we could get a better price for one night. Our room with all of the taxes was $150 and that is with our Hilton Honors membership. Ouch! Note: their breakfast buffet was $14. I’d recommend you go to the most excellent Reve Coffee, or, go have great beignets at Coffee Depot just down the road in Scott.
If staying here for business, don’t expect a receipt or follow up. They are plenty nice when you check in but terrible on check-out. Doubtful I will stay here again.
I really enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean, and the staff was very accommodating.
I had dinner at the hotel restaurant ( SoLA) and oh my - the food was excellent and the service was even better. Our waitress, Megan, went above and beyond. It’s nice to see someone actually take pride in what they do. Thank you again Megan and the Double Tree team!
Over all an unpleasant experience. There was zero diamond space for parking, not that they were occupied, they just don’t exist. When I walked in the lobby it smells musky. Upon checking at 530pm I was told my room was not available and would be moved to another. I was removed from the executive floor. I was not offered my water or a cookie. I asked what time the restaurant opened, I was told it doesn’t. The reason I book hotels is based on the amenities. I always book one that has a restaurant and bar so I don’t have to go anywhere. There was no warning that the restaurant doesn’t open. The bar was open and the bartender was very pleasant. When I entered my room the musky smell continued. As a diamond member for the past however many years, the experience of a Hilton property was lost here. I won’t be booking here again.
The service at this hotel is top notch - thank you to Brianna and all the other team members that were so helpful throughout the stay - this was southern hospitality at its finest. I thought the hotel itself and rooms were clean, nice, and modern, so surprised to see some of the other negative reviews. Would definitely recommend.
The staff and location are great! It’s a very clean hotel so I was comfortable in my room as far as cleanliness. The double beds are small and the sheets are old and scratchy. They smelled like bleach the whole night. I did not sleep the whole night and I will not stay here again because the beds were so uncomfortable.
I had a terrible experience at the Double Tree. It was my first and last time ever booking a stay there. The towels/bedsheets had hair and stains. The bathroom had hair on the floor. The bathroom counter top had toothpaste splattered all over the faucet and sink handles that was so disgusting you can tell it was NOT cleaned prior or even thoroughly! For what I paid $140 for 1 night is really sad and disgusting and I will never forget that. I am disappointed. I thought the Hilton chains were cleaner and stricter than this. I’ve stayed in quite a few and have never had any issues like this. It’s always been very clean and pristine. I called and called the front desk they never answered the phone. I called so many times that I can’t count. I even had a customer care support technician connect to me to try and assist me. She asked me to hold on and tried calling the hotel, when she connected back to me she apologized because she could not reach the front desk either. I told her i appreciate her helping me out and that I previously called multiple times that they don’t answer the phones for some reason. The AC was so loud it sound like it a tractor clanking super loud each time the air clicked on and off. I can’t get any sleep like that. I have video footage of it as proof of how loud and horrible it sounded. I could not rest and get the sleep I needed and deserved that night. Very disappointed!!
In my opinion most all hotels will be dirty some more visible than others I always clean before hand. I like that this place does not have carpet verry friendly/helpful staff , quiet from all the rift raft(mostly noise of the train ?) large parking area, the rooms may not be updated although with the price given don’t expect luxury although with all my travel experience the rooms are quiet large as compared to some places. Overall it’s a safe place . Had a good stay ?
When we got to the motel and got to our room we had a few issues but the sweet guy that works there was more than welcoming and helpful along with making sure everything was exceptional also friendly! I wish they had more people like Mr Erik ! The motel was peaceful! Thank y'all!!!!!!!! Maintenance man of the year!!!!
Stayed at this hotel as it was in a convenient location.
The bad: the hotel appeared unkept. The floors of the lobby, elevator, hallways looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. Animal and human hair found throughout hotel room. Thin walls.
The good: No bed bugs, no stains on the sheets observed. Front staff male was friendly and kind. Location (Starbucks around corner, restaurants near by, close to highway for road trip convenience).
Overall, I would not stay here again due to cleanliness. Would be a great hotel if it was cleaner.
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!! We were here on business. The hotel was booked by the host of the event that we were attending. I have spoke with him regarding this. However, I have never stayed any place this disgusting! SEE MY PICS...The room smelled awful. The bedding had several spots of mold, cigarette burns, & holes. So was all the furniture. The ceiling had mold all over it. The carpet was stained & so were the toilet & bathtub. The microwave had food in it. We threw it away. The refrigerator literally froze anything we put in it (see pic). This hotel is VERY NASTY, old, & outdated. It needs to be remodeled or closed down. Please book ANYWHERE else but here.
I will definitely stay here again. Front desk guy was so nice. Room was so so clea n. Had just enough blankets so didnt get cold. Nice size king room. Everything was great. And it was quiet too.
