Providence Hot Tub Hotels - Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Providence, Rhode Island and surrounding area

Best Time to Visit

  • Summer (June–August): Peak season. WaterFire Providence illuminates the rivers on select summer nights and is the single most popular event in the city, drawing visitors from across New England. Newport beaches and festivals fill all Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts properties from late June through August. Book downtown and Newport-area hotels 4 to 6 weeks ahead for summer weekends.
  • Fall (September–October): Excellent shoulder season. WaterFire continues into October. Providence's culinary scene and Brown University's fall events keep demand steady. Newport Folk and Jazz Festivals in July and August are the biggest Newport demand spikes. Fall is the best value period with pleasant weather.
  • Spring (April–May): Good value window. Brown University graduation in May creates a short demand spike. Good availability otherwise. Rhode Island spring weather is unpredictable but pleasant when dry.
  • Winter (December–February): Lowest pricing window. Providence's holiday season and Brown University keep moderate downtown demand. Best time for couples to find deals on jacuzzi suites at Hotel Providence and Cranston properties.
Booking tip: This guide spans a wide area covering Providence and Cranston (Rhode Island), Newport and Middletown (Rhode Island), North Attleboro, Somerset, and New Bedford (Massachusetts), North Kingstown (Rhode Island), and Dayville (Connecticut). Important Booking Tips for Providence

  • WaterFire Providence dates: WaterFire illuminates the Providence Rivers on select evenings from May through November. It is the biggest draw for downtown hotel demand. Check the WaterFire schedule at waterfire.org and book downtown properties 3 to 4 weeks ahead for WaterFire nights.
  • Wide geographic area: Properties in this guide range from downtown Providence to New Bedford, MA (40 miles south) and Dayville, CT (35 miles west). Confirm the property address suits your destination before booking.
  • Newport proximity: Quality Inn and Suites Middletown is the best confirmed jacuzzi hotel for Newport visitors. Newport itself has few traditional chain hotels with jacuzzis, making this Middletown property on West Main Road the practical choice for combining Newport mansions, beaches, and a hot tub stay.
  • Confirm your room type: Not all rooms in these hotels have jacuzzis. Look specifically for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Suite," or "Spa King" when booking to avoid a standard room.
  • Best budget options: Budget Inn Dayville ($85/night) and Classic Motor Lodge West Greenwich ($90/night, 9.2/10) are the most affordable confirmed jacuzzi options. Classic Motor Lodge offers the best combination of price and rating in the Providence area.
  • Verify with the hotel: Some travelers report jacuzzi rooms can be substituted at check-in if not confirmed directly with the property at the time of booking.

Booked a smoking room online and upon arrival was told that the whole place was smoke free. No offer by the very rude woman at the desk to cancel or discount. Safety lock on door was minimal and the garbage stacked up outside behind the room allowed for someone to peek into the bathroom. Hard to get in and out of. Not associated with America's Best Value Inns as bill shows Golden Gate Motel. Beware!!

Booked via a 3rd party service and requested a non-smoking room. Suffice to say this room had been rented to at least one chain smoker in the recent past, if not consistently for many years. On returning home from this trip even some clothes I hadn't worn on the trip smelled of cigarette smoke just for having been in the space. Room was generally damp, and poorly air conditioned. Bed was hard. Even for the low rate per night you can do better.

This was my third time living in a supposed historic hotel. I am zero for three in terms of enjoying my stays in these hotels.
It is overpriced with really gaudy colored themes. There was some weird music coming out from another room near mine.
The bed was ok though the climate control is far from ok--they offered me either a blanket or a fan (depending on whether I thought I would feel cold or warm).
You practically get nothing other than tea/ coffee facilities for the high price (nearby hotels were cheaper).
The service was bare minimum.
I would recommend staying away from this hotel.

We were at this hotel for a wedding. The hotel is beautifully furnished huge stair case welcomed you . Our junior suite was gorgeous as well the little amenities that they give you in the room . They have a cute little coffee shop downstairs and a restaurant next-door. Check in was long due to our reservation parking is self parking and $33.00 a day. Hotel charges $10.00 plus tax for incidentals. And placed $100.00 on my credit card. The area around this hotel is easy
To navigate and there is a lot to see. Air conditioning good be working better. In our bedroom they have a ceiling fan !! Helped moved the air around . Beds were amazing they have a lot of charging stations around the room for your phone and etc. a TV in the living room and the bedroom. Great toiletries, as well as towels and etc.. We have a little space with a safe in it and a bench to get dressed. Excellent place !!

While the location is great and the aesthetic of the building and decor theme is beautiful the cleanliness isn’t there for what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel and what you pay per night. There was mold and gunk in the shower and there were finger prints/smudges from prior guests left on the door. After they reached out via text about our stay, I provided them with a rating on their scale of 1-10 and the photos attached here. I have heard nothing back.

I have loved staying at a Graduate hotel in another city and was excited for this stay. And while the room decor was great, a clear and strong mold/damp smell in the room and barely functional AC made it truly unpleasant. We tried to switch rooms, but evidently none were available. And while staff appreciated my comments on the room, no apologies or other support were offered. Having read the other reviews here, it’s clear that the issue is likely broader than just our room. Sadly, would not recommend a stay here.

Nicely decorated ample suite. The hotel is decorated with an old feel but with modern taste. Rotary phones, brightly colored carpets in the hallway, furniture touches, etc. We were given an ample corner suite in the 8 floor with nice views. Separate living and bedroom. Other reviews mention problems with AC, our room stayed all night at a cool 68 degrees. Bathroom was small but functional. Everything spotless clean. Location is great in downtown Providence, walking distance to everything. Self parking is extra $33 in a secured covered parking lot steps away from the hotel. Overall a good experience, I will definitely return if going back to Providence

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions — Providence

What is the typical price range for hotels with a Jacuzzi in room in Providence?

Hotels in Providence offering the luxury of a Jacuzzi in-room vary in price, catering to a range of budgets. Economy options may start from around $100 per night, offering basic amenities along with the Jacuzzi feature. Mid-range hotels can be expected to charge between $150 to $250, providing more spacious rooms and additional facilities. For the premium end, prices can soar above $300, where you'll find expansive suites with upscale amenities complementing your Jacuzzi experience. Seasonal offers and package deals can also affect pricing, so keep an eye out for special promotions.

When is the best time to book a Jacuzzi suite in Providence for a good deal?

Securing the best deal on a Jacuzzi suite in Providence typically requires timing your booking during the off-peak season. Winter months, excluding the holidays, often yield the most competitive rates. Additionally, booking mid-week rather than weekends can also lead to savings. For those looking to capitalize on weather and price, the shoulder seasons—late spring and early fall—present a perfect balance, offering moderate prices and pleasant weather. It's also wise to monitor hotel deals well in advance or last minute, as hotels may offer discounts to fill rooms.

Are there any peak seasons in Providence when hotel prices, including those with a Jacuzzi in-room, might spike?

Yes, Providence sees a spike in hotel prices during peak seasons, which typically align with major events and the summer months when tourism is at its height. June through August, along with holiday weekends and times of local festivals or university events, such as graduation weeks, can see higher demand for rooms, causing rates to increase significantly. During these periods, securing a hotel with a Jacuzzi in-room may require advanced booking and could come at a premium. To avoid the surge, consider visiting in early spring or late fall when the city is less crowded and prices are more reasonable.
