I recently had a few days with nothing scheduled so I grabbed my son from school and we went on a last minute ski adventure up to Killington. I had a friend recommend the Snowed Inn to me so we looked into it and decided to book. The place is super charming both outside and inside. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and was explained the procedures for breakfast and the hot tub (which were super easy). Our room was cozy, quiet, and and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning in the dining room/common area was delicious and right on time as we were looking to get up on the hill early to start our day. We had nice conversations with some of the other guests as well as one of the owners. In all we had a really nice albeit quick stay but we will 100% be back again. My young son particularly enjoyed the fresh baked cookies which is definitely a nice touch.
We had such a wonderful time at the Snowed Inn and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year! The staff and owners were incredibly warm and friendly, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the location was perfect! Highly recommend!!
We had a wonderful stay at the Snowed Inn! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and we loved that they take your order in advance and have your table ready for you in the morning. Everything is so cute and cozy! We stayed in the Chalet and really enjoyed the space, especially with the fire place. We only wish there were two beds instead of a futon, pull out couch, and a bed. The pull out couch/bed was extremely uncomfortable upstairs and very hard to sleep on. The downstairs futon was better after moving halfway through the night. The location is also excellent- super close to restaurants, pubs, and the ski resort.
What a fantastic place to stay. The Inn is absolutely beautiful, the hot tub is amazing and the location is so good. A few minutes walk to the free bus service, market and great restaurants. Carolyn and Ken are amazing hosts, their adult children are lovely (our adult children loved their company) and they are all are such lovely people, perfectly suited to their hosting role. Our family had a fantastic time there. A huge thank you to the Snowed Inn from the Aussies for making our 'White Christmas's so special. I would give more stars if I could.
My husband and I absolutely LOVED Snowed Inn! We booked a week stay and the owners, Carolyn and Ken, made sure we were very comfortable with our accommodations for the week. They went above and beyond and we truly appreciated their kind hospitality. From the moment we entered the warm and cozy lobby, I knew we made the right choice! It is one of the best lobbies I have ever seen or enjoyed at a Bed and Breakfast. From the many cozy seating areas to choose from, the soft and inviting lighting and music, fresh baked cookies to enjoy, a GREAT tea and coffee bar, and the wonderful smell of apples and fresh baked bread. It smelled like Christmas morning!
Tia checked us in and was wonderful and so helpful! Our bed was extremely comfortable, the room was clean, the breakfast each morning was delicious, there was easy parking, and the location was perfect and within minutes from numerous restaurants.
We can't say enough good things about Snowed Inn. We highly recommend staying here if you are looking for that cozy, charming B&B experience in Vermont! They did not disappoint!
We love North Star. It’s one of the hotels we regularly stay at whenever we are in Killington over the years. It’s not fancy and needs a little updating but it’s perfect to rest, location is convenient on the access road, great heated outdoor pool, and we LOVE The Starlight Lounge. Fantastic bar with simple but very tasty food and both Dan and John are always wonderful to see whenever we stop by the bar. They have live music on weekends and there is also free coffee in the morning. We didn’t get top floor room this time so it was a little noisier than usual so I recommend asking for the 5th floor if you can. Can’t wait to visit again!
We stayed in this "resort" mid October. We were greeted right away and were able to check in an hour early. BUT the rooms were less to be desired. Lets just say for a "Resort" it was very run down. The pool was open, we didnt use it. The sauna in the women's room either wasnt on or the light didnt work. The restaurant was closed until November?! It would have been nice if something was on the website letting people know. That was part of the reason i booked the place. The actual room was outdated which is here nor there to me but the bed was awful, the door did not shut properly, it shut but wiggled so anytime someone would walk past it it would move. I did NOT like that there was not REAL lock on the door. And the NOISE! You could hear EVERYTHING! I dont know what's on the 5th floor but it constantly sounded like someone was pacing and slamming stuff. And the people down the hall kept slamming their door every time they would come in and out. I think im being generous with 3 stars but do better! Def not worth the price.
I really wish I could give this a better review but unfortunately our stay was not the best. When we first walked in, we noticed our blinds were broken and it didn’t look the cleanest but it was fine since we didn’t plan to stay in the rooms much. However after our first night, we woke up with awful hip, shoulder, and back pain from the awful, uncomfortable mattresses. Mind you the 3 of us are under 30. The bathroom was ok but our tub had a hole in it and the water had a weird well smell. The thing that threw us over the edge was the garbage we kept finding throughout the room on our first night. None of it was stuff we used so clearly they didn’t even vacuum well.
We shared our concerns with the front desk and the sweetest lady Jackie seemed so disappointed in our experience 😭 we felt SO bad but we also could not spend one more sleepless night there. Jackie offered us another room but we told her we wished to leave and she processed a refund for the remaining nights we had booked. I hope she didn’t take it personally because she truly was incredibly helpful, kind, and understanding.
Again, I wish our experience was better however the room cleanliness was unsatisfactory and the beds were horrid to sleep on.
We spent the night on October 16 on our way to Maine. We came from Colorado so we are familiar with lodge hotels. I was shocked at the wear and tear of this resort. I don't think there wasn't a single thing in the resort that doesn't need updating. The wallpaper in the hallways was peeling off. The room was not really clean it needed a good going over again. The room we saw online that lead us to book here was NOT what we received. The bathroom had little or no caulking , water stains on the ceiling. The shower head was at least 20 years old. The windows were so weathered and frosted you couldn't see outside them. The refrigerator sat on top on wood blocks. No work space, desk or table. I was so excited to come to Vermont and this is what we found. Vermont is beautiful this lodge definitely is not. Thank goodness weren't traveling with children. I would not recommend this Lodge to anyone.
Rooms were not clean. Lots of dust and hair on floor skirting board, dead insects along carpet edges. Convenient for location as it cuts the long drive on VT-100 but would suggest to look for better options.
