The restaurant was a great place to start the day. The breakfast meals were tasty and the presentation was polished and pleasing.
All the staff were friendly and always looking to help.
Definitely would return in a heartbeat!!
All around this is a lovely place in a great location, right on Lake Superior. We would definitely stay here again!
After we returned from a fantastic dinner at the hotel restaurant, the co alarm was chirping away. Maintenance quickly responded and that quickly moved us to another room. We were grateful and barely had a chance to checkout the new digs after moving out bags to the new room. Maintenance had left and it was about 9:30 when we realized that we didn't have a jacuzzi, so we decided to head to the pool/hot tub for a bit. I was bummed to see that the sauna was not working; saunas rule.
The next day we had plans in the morning, so around noon we asked the folks at the front desk if there were any rooms that we could switch to that had a jacuzzi tub, since that was the only amenity we truly cared about. Those wonderful people put us in the beach house for our second night. If you haven't had the pleasure to experience it for yourself, the Beach House is a small shack sitting directly on the waters edge at lake level. It is breathtaking and wholly unique.
Thanks for the wonderful service and amenities.
The lodges are nice and almost all have a view of the lake. Very quiet at night. Excellent stars if the weather's right.
The location was great, close to State parks, rustic inn, and other places to stop. Little further out of 2 harbors, it was great. I really do believe they need to remove fitness room from amenities. The rooms were clean and well kept. Liked the layout of 1 bedroom. We had 2 beds one was in separate room with its own vanity and sink which was great. Bathroom had places to hang towels which we found annissue at superior shores. It was great place, would stay there again.
The property is very well maintained, cabins right on the lake, very family friendly, charming, cozy, relaxing. I think this would be a fantastic place for and small or large family retreat.
We enjoyed our dinner, service was very friendly, good price, had a great steak and asparagus. Restaurant was unpretentious and the staff trying very hard to serve food and drinks.
We enjoyed our stay!
Breakfast was pretty standard, except for they have prepackaged avocado, which was a nice treat.
The place was a little worn, but in good shape. The front desk was always helpful and prompt.
Beds were comfortable. my only complaint is that the scolded guard on the shower was set too low and showers were very warm at best. Definitely not hot.
Weekends are always more. My only complaint is that the room was very weathered down, paint is chipping, wood is chipping, scratches on the walls, mildew in the bathroom, showerhead had lots of calcium, Windows had spots, Hair all over the hair dryer, pillow were heavily used, dust everywhere and the small fridge kept coming out when trying to open it. more in the pictures. I don't want to be picky ? but this did through me off.
Its not a bad place to stay but for the price we paid we expected better.
