Room good, location good

Service poor. Had a billing issue, was accidentally overcharged for room. Requested a refund.

The credit has been "pending" for over a week. Was told by associate who processed it's quick.

5 days later I'm not seeing it.

My bank is reporting it's "pending"

Called up this morning and the associate who answered literally said "there's nothing they can do"

Requested to speak to hotel manager. Was told "it's 7 to 10 business days" and [you] shouldn't have been told what you were originally.

It's not a lot of money but it's the point.

There are other alternatives to stay when in the area.

Checked in and checked out via the app. Digital key was not available for this stay, not sure why. Had to stop at desk to get keys. For the one night quick stay, we chose a low floor to to be able to get luggage in and out easy. The rear entrance was near our room and was convenient but had steps even for first floor, made it a little more difficult than expected but worked ok for us. Room was great, very clean, no stains on rug and the bed was awesome. The halls very bright and clean and the breakfast was great.
This was an absolutely horrific stay. It all started when I accidentally booked the wrong dates for my brother’s wedding weekend. When I realized the mistake, I tried to call and have the reservation modified. I was told that because I booked with points, I could only do this online. However, I was unable to log into my account and every time I tried to reset the password and access my account via either the app or the website I would get a website error message, so calling in and having this solved over the phone was literally my only option. The concierge told me there were no rooms available at the points rate (8ok for two nights) and that the only thing available would be an upgraded room costing double the points plus 4000. Now here’s where it gets ridiculous. Despite the fact that I am a Gold status member the concierge refused to book me at my regular rate and just upgraded me to the alleged ‘only available room’ a perk that is supposed to be guaranteed for Gold status members. Instead I would have had to pay out of pocket at a cost of $210 a night. So I cancelled the room and rebooked out of pocket at the wedding block room rate of $169 per night. A block of rooms that was set aside explicitly for my brother's wedding and just so happened to be the room that I had initially booked for the 80,000 points. So I was lied too, a room was in fact available to me both as Gold member or as member of the wedding party block, but now I was out 300 plus dollars for a room that I should have had for the 80,000 points but I had originally booked for. When we finally got to the hotel and to the room it was absolutely disgusting. The sofa was so stained that it was impossible to sit on it without fear of catching something. The shower was a mere trickle and the shower head was encrusted with so much debris. To add insult to injury the soap dispenser in the shower was completely empty, a factor that I did not realize until I was already halfway through my shower. Finally, on the day and that we left I called down to the front desk to ask for a 30 minute extension on our check out as we were having breakfast with the wedding party. The concierge was incredibly rude and with a tone that was borderline hostile stated “we can allow that.” Hilton continues to showcase just how terrible there rewards program is And clearly this extends out to their customer service across all levels and the very foundation of their hotel. It is all rotten to the core rooms service rewards not at this not at Hilton. Lesson brutally learned; I will forever ever be staying at Marriott.

This hotel does not believe in customer service. I booked queen beds and the hotel manager changed us to king bed. Did not tell us. We have an autistic son and when we checked in and explained why we needed queen beds the staff said they could not do anything. We asked for the manager but no manager was at the hotel all weekend. The sign said they would refund your room if you had an issue. But the staff said they couldn’t because we prepaid the room. No one is running the hotel.

The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel is centrally located to gas, grocery stores & restaurants. The amenities are excellent (pool, full kitchens, free breakfast, fitness center). The ellipticalls & the treadmills in the fitness center are old and either need replacing or service. The location is very nice & I would definitely recommend.

I have been staying here a couple of weeks. Front desk staff are wonderful also breakfast staff and house cleaning are great too. All staff are very friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfortable beds. Towels are nice and thick. However you may find TV are not the same size in each room. Some rooms have a nice comfortable chair.

Great location, clean room with revamped bathrooms and decor. The AC was silent as well. Kudos to the check in gentle man "Ragy". Amazing customer support by him. I would rate the hotel a great value for money!

There was confusion about us booking a double queen bed room and ending up with two full size beds. I can completely understand that mistakes can happen in documenting bed size. But when I pointed that out to the morning checkout guy, he gruffly told me he has been in the hotel business for long and the bed size is queen as per hotel spec. Attached a pic of the bed for documentation.

So learning is to check the bed size against your booking and report right away so the hotel gets a chance to correct it. You end up paying more while getting less.

I would still recommend the hotel for sure.

Room and facility were super clean and comfortable. Excellent for the price point. Was in a room facing away from the interstate - not too noisy. Older elevator, but again, great price. Walking distance into downtown Fredrick if you're patient with the first few crossings by Costco. Eshara was super professional and helpful.

Room is sparkling clean, although just a little outdated. Staff was very courteous and efficient. Loved the little welcome water bottle and cookies at check-in! And loved the breakfast-to-go bag in the morning. Hotel property was kept very nice, seemed to be in a safe neighborhood, and was very conveniently located to downtown Frederick. Would highly recommend!
