Goldsborough Hall is an absolutely stunning backdrop for a wedding! I absolutely love photographing weddings there, it's super local to me and the backdrop is also a photographers dream. You really don't need to spend ages away from your wedding party having photos taken, because there's such a delightful variety of backdrops! The team are always lovely and I can also confirm the food is always delicious!

We had the set lunch which was 5 courses of truly delicious food. Often ambitious it’s a bargain for the quality. We had a walk around the beautiful gardens before sitting down where we could see our lunch growing!
My only quibble was the strangely stilted service as it to a long time to get drinks when we were the only table in there.

Had a truly wonderful experience while staying at this hotel for one night on a dinner & breakfast special offer 🏨

While the room was a bit tired and in our opinion was in need of a refresh the overall quality of service and especially the tasting menu food was absolutely delicious and a true work of art.
I would also highly recommend the pairing wines with each course, while not cheap they certainly complement the food courses extremely well.
Highly recommended for all lovers of amazing food and service 🥂🍾🏨

Afternoon tea gifted by my daughter. What a lovely place. Arrived at lunchtime, had coffee and strolled around the beautiful gardens until 3pm when we partook of afternoon tea in the garden room and terrace. Everything ( including the weather) was excellent.

Had the tasting menu today (Sunday lunch 21/4/24). The food was absolutely wonderful, with the bread it was six courses, all of which were so tasty and beautiful to look at. This is only £50 per head. We’ve had top Michelin food and this is equal to many meals we’ve paid three or four times the price. The service was professional and friendly and the gardens/grounds are spectacular. Really enjoyed our visit, will definitely be coming again.

A fantastic location for a luxury countryside break. Rooms are very comfortable and well fitted and the house has lovely grounds and gardens.
The food is worth every one of the three rosettes but it's the service which sets Goldsborough apart, all of the staff are so very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A real pleasure...

Decided to go here to see the spring bulbs, so looking forward to it for a couple of weeks. Go to check details today to discover you have to buy tickets at least the day before you want to go!?! What sort of ridiculous system is that? Bad enough going through all the faff of having to book tickets, as opposed to just going for a day out. Never been a problem before. Not a problem for many other places of interest. Wouldn't be a problem if you could buy your ticket before setting off. But having to buy tickets at least one day in advance is just crazy. Spoilt our weekend. Won't bother visiting in future out of principle. Plenty of other places to go.

The grounds, charm, location and staff make this such a worthwhile visit. Just 10 minutes to Harrogate. Breakfast was of the highest quality (coffee was perfect!) lots of options on the menu. Tea in the Drawing Room with large log fire was a welcome break from the rain - we were unlucky not to be able to ealk around this beautiful setting.

For what the hotel markets itself as, this hotel is only ‘good’. The most luxurious bit is looking at the building from the outside. Also the skeleton staff are lovely and the three main public rooms are beautiful. Our room, not so much. Still in the realms of nursing home I think. I know it costs A LOT especially now more than ever to run a place like this. But I don’t think it should be as obvious that you’re running it as frugally as appears to be the case here.

Excellent stay from start to finish!
Greeted by friendly staff at check in with a complimentary glass of sparkling tea. Very personable asking us what we have planned during our time here. Offered a tour of the facility and asked if we needed help with bags up to the room.
The room was lovely and modern with a comfortable bed and amazing looking bathroom with walk in shower. The heated floors were a nice touch. Free amenities and proper coffee too!
The spa is great with a decent pool (not too cold), jacuzzi, steam, room and sauna and also a cold plunge (Brass Monkey so top quality). the lounges are extremely comfy. The only thing needed would be a clock in the spa itself and maybe a timer for the cold plunge, but other than that, very relaxing. We didn't use the wellness cafe but it looked great.
The gym is top quality! A great functional space kitted out by Wolverson. Plenty of equipment for all, Concept2 ergs, two squats racks, bars and bumper plates, dumbbells up to 40kg, adjustable cable machines and more. plenty of floor space.
The meal was great with decent options using fresh local produce and a lovely bar area for a drink after. A nice wine mix too.
Breakfast was lovely with a cold selection and nice hot breakfast to choose from.
Overall a lovely stay a Saltmoore! cannot wait to visit again next year.

Newly opened, Public areas have about as much ambience as a Hospital waiting area , Spa is too busy to be practical with a capacity that is overwhelmed by the demand … imagine spending £200 on massages with no where to sit !
Breakfast service a disaster and room functionality clearly not thought through by a professional hotel designers …. Luxury is of course an opinion but Saltmore simply doesn’t match its aspirational marketing position
Will not return 😌
We had the pleasure of spending one night at this renovated hotel, complete with newly access to the spa and breakfast. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The spa area was truly a highlight—an oasis of relaxation. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh, high-quality options, and the gym was the perfect way to start our morning. Everything felt pristine, with a delightful newness and impeccable cleanliness throughout.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional, ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless. The hotel’s modern facilities, surrounded by stunning natural beauty and located right by the sea, create an atmosphere of pure tranquility. It’s the ideal destination for anyone seeking comfort in a breathtaking setting.

Stayed here for an overnight bed and breakfast stay. Also booked for evening meal.

Spa was nice and relaxing. Room was so comfortable and bathroom was good with underfloor heating.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Absolutely no pretentiousness.

The evening meal was absolutely lovely. Breakfast the bext day had a good selection of pastries and drinks, and good selection of hot breakfast items.

Understand it's getting refurbished between February and August but will be back in September or October to go to the spa and restaurant again!!
