One of the best hotels we've stayed over the last years, and we travel quite a lot. Well located, modern and spacious rooms, amazing staff, impeccable service. We're now eager to try out their sister hotels in Paris and Amsterdam.

Stayed at Hotel Café Royal and was thoroughly impressed. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of London, making it perfect for exploring the city’s attractions. The building itself is steeped in history, offering a unique blend of classic charm and modern luxury. The service was exceptional, with every staff member going above and beyond, but a special mention goes to Victor, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this hotel for both its central location and outstanding hospitality!

5 star hotel without a valet service !!!
We were planning for a dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and came with our car. The boy welcomed us and refused to take our car and asked us to park it ourselves and come back walking, claiming that the valet closes in an hour !!
I don’t mind walking but I’m so surprised that a 5* hotel closes the valet service early and asks their customers come back walking!!
I ended up canceling my plans and dining somewhere else.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Café Royal in London, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and every detail was attended to with the utmost care. The hotel itself is an elegant blend of classic charm and modern luxury, making for a truly memorable stay.

Special mention must go to the concierge team, who went above and beyond to ensure our visit was flawless. They were incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready with the perfect recommendation for dining, sightseeing, or anything else we needed. Their exceptional service truly stood out and added a personal touch to our experience.

Having previously stayed at the Rosewood London, we found Hotel Café Royal to be an even more delightful experience. The attention to detail, the quality of service, and the overall ambiance surpassed our high expectations. We felt pampered and well cared for throughout our stay.

We can't wait to return to Hotel Café Royal for another visit. It has now become our preferred hotel in London, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable luxury experience.

This is a great hotel and we will definitely stay here again. This is a 5 star hotel but there were a few things that made me downgrade the rating a tad……in fairness I would award 4.5 stars but I can’t do that. The room was great even if a little small. The pillows could be improved the duvet a bit small. High end toiletries and everything spotlessly clean. We stayed in a terrace room but terrace a little weird as in room 2 we were in a public place on our terrace. The decor is fantastic and as smokers it was great to have a patio terrace where we were able to smoke without offending anyone else! We normally stay at The Hamyard and should we be staying with our normal friends we would probably stay there as usual. but for us we loved the quirkiness of the hotel and opening the drawers in the rooms was an eye opener we loved!! My main reason for deducting half a star was when we went to check out we were offered the opportunity to pay a 40 quid service charge which we politely declined as TBH when we stay in 5 star hotels it is the service we already expect to be paying for:-) The only people we came in contact with was the charming young man who showed us to our room and we already tipped him a tenner. Other than that we just dealt with front desk, I did not feel that we should be paying a premium for this facility and it felt very American when you get asked for tips for everything! LOL Overall its a great hotel and as I said we will book here again in the future. 4.5 stars!

We went for cocktails and dinner - lovely cocktails, well sized and stocked wine list, friendly service. The food menu is small and really good - we did have to ask for salt for one course but I think it was a small oversight.

My stay at The Mandrake in London was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt as though I had stepped into a fantasy world. The hotel’s moody vibe perfectly complements its location in the trendy Fitzrovia area, creating a unique and immersive environment.

The room was nothing short of luxurious, with high-end furnishings and a well-stocked minibar that made my stay even more comfortable. The en suite bathroom was a dream, featuring a rainfall shower head that added a touch of spa-like relaxation to my daily routine.

The greenhouse terrace and central courtyard are absolute showstoppers, draped in hanging jasmine and passion flowers that infuse the space with a captivating fragrance. The rich textures, vibrant dark colors, and theatrical lighting throughout the hotel made every corner feel like a work of art.

The amenities at The Mandrake are exceptional. The restaurant on site served exquisite dishes, and the bar was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the city.

A special mention must go to the staff, who were nothing short of top tier. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable.

The Mandrake is not just a hotel; it's an experience. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury, style, and a bit of the unexpected, I highly recommend staying here. I can't wait to return!

I recently stayed at The Mandrake and had a very disappointing experience. We got in after a long flight and needed additional rest. We fell asleep and heard the door open to our room. We went to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work. We had to call from our phone to let them know what was going on. They never got back to us officially. We ran into the concierge who helped us with our luggage and he said it was staff looking to stock an already stocked fridge. I will say he is the only one who was helpful. Nothing worked in that hotel room. Phone, hair dryer, mirror Iron etc…. The shower didn’t keep the water in, it would leak on the secondary flooring of the bathroom. We had to stuff the shower with towels in order to keep the floor from getting wet. The slamming of the doors and the constant smell of smoke in the night time made it hard to breathe and sleep. It progressively got worse throughout the night. Overall, my stay was far from enjoyable, the last night we didn’t even sleep in the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to others especially if you are sensitive to smoke. I don’t think the reviews reflect the actual hotel, but that of the bar and restaurant they host. Which is why this is rated so high. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all. It was truly a nightmare and we definitely didn’t want to start the trip that way.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Tribal Brunch at the 5-star Mandrake Hotel in London, and it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I entered the lush, botanical setting of the hotel’s courtyard, I knew I was in for a unique and unforgettable culinary adventure.

The ambiance of the Mandrake Hotel is captivating, with its eclectic mix of exotic plants, vibrant art, and a chic, bohemian vibe that sets the perfect backdrop for a leisurely brunch. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure every detail was perfect.

The menu at the Tribal Brunch is a delightful fusion of global flavors and innovative dishes. Each plate was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. My personal favorite was the french toast with fresh berries which were simply divine.

What truly sets the Tribal Brunch apart is the immersive experience. Live music and tribal beats provided a lively, yet relaxed atmosphere that encouraged guests to unwind and savor every moment.

Tribal Brunch at the Mandrake Hotel is an extraordinary experience that goes beyond a typical meal. It’s a feast for the senses, combining exquisite food, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to indulge in a truly unique and luxurious brunch experience in the heart of London.

Loved the hotel, very artistic… staff was lovely. Drinks were amazing. Rooms were a tad bit small but normal in London. Loved the theme, can’t wait to stay here again. Wasn’t aware of the $200 safety deposit fee a day… also was told I took something from the snack bar in the room which I didn’t but was amazing boutique hotel.
