We had a wonderful time here. Stopped for one night on our road trip up to Maine and it was sad to say goodbye. The staff were warm and welcoming. Our stay was like stepping back in time. The cozy parlor and dining room were the best relaxing spots. We had a glass of wine from the little tavern on site & played games by the fire before going to a recommended place for dinner (walking distance, also great!). For breakfast, it felt like mom herself cooked you up a plate of yummy breakfast casserole! The room was everything. Clean, orderly, cozy. We had a room with a wood burning fireplace and fell asleep to crackles and pops of fire. I mean, does it get any better than that? It’s also so close to Salem, which makes the location top notch. We would highly recommend making harbor light inn a must do.

So much history here in the Inn. Centrally located, near to Salem and all attractions. Our room was large and lots of natural light. Staff was so wonderful, happy to talk about the history of the Inn and the area. Wonderful ambience, nice little bar and beautiful dining room.

I don't usually like small inns or bed & breakfasts, but I really enjoyed staying here. We felt welcome and felt comfortable using the common rooms. The friendy staff was always available when we needed them but they never hovered over us, so we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Our room was beautiful. It was large, sunny and had a private outdoor area. Our breakfast was delicious. It was so good I even asked for the recipe and the breakfast room was beautiful. They have a private parking lot in the back so we didnt have to worry about parking our car and the town is just steps away. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

I can’t say enough about how incredible our experience was at this hotel. The staff was incredibly kind & went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was everything we needed & came out on time each morning. We decided to plan a last minute MA trip in the winter which, even though it was colder outside, we still had such a great time. Shops in Marblehead were open despite the off season & we went to some of the local restaurants recommended by staff. It was VERY quiet and romantic! Highly recommended this hotel. We will definitely be back one day!

So many positives to mention:

The location is perfect for visiting and walking around Marblehead.

The house is beautiful with lovely common spaces to sit and read, and to enjoy the oldies music they play.

My room was great! Good bed, and the best shower I've ever seen.

Breakfast was delicious. I like their breakfast stratas.

The staff were all friendly and accommodating.

Parking in back was free and easy to get in/out.

A+ in every way!

Everything was great, the facility, the views, service was great, and we would definitely return, but, I would bring some extra of my own bedding and pillows. I did not call down to ask, so it may have been available but the covers were a little light and the pillows were not the lush type pillows, they were thin and seemingly made of just stuffing like a value brand. Otherwise I found the stay to be very very nice.

Incredible experience; we have gone twice and loved every minute. It is the perfect get away for a long weekend, event, or week away. Shops are close in town, hot tub is actually clean, the balcony facing the ocean is the best part - in room dining, the restaurants in the resort are a delight.

The spa is an experience unto itself. Professional, clean, and a treasured retreat. Ask for Abby Spring for esthetics, and see Jason for a massage - you will not regret it!

Great views. Very pricey but you pay for the beautiful views. Food is good. If you get lobster for dinner prepare to pay 92.00 for 2 lbs and 73 for 1.5.😳. Was a good experience but I rather spend my good money for a more budget friendly place in town.

Beautiful spot for a quick getaway. Checked in fairly quickly from the friendly employees at the front desk. Room was on the second floor with a beautiful view. Room was clean and spacious.

The Tiller was an excellent place for dinner. Ordered a lobster roll and a few cocktails. All were delicious and service was great.

Enjoyed the hot tub for a few hours as well. Wish it didn’t close as early as it does (10pm). Other than that the property is in such a beautiful location.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend stay at the Cliff House. We had an updated one bedroom oceanfront corner suite with the most amazing views from every window. The long balcony was beautifully furnished, though it was quite chilly in November so we did not get much use of it. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we could possibly need. The service was top notch and everyone was over the top friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning!
