I was here years ago and ran into Tim Robbins and his beautiful daughter and I asked him about The Brink which was canceled, very funny take on our government up to that moment, pre Trump.Jack Black in tow.Great property, great people.I sleep walk and found myself waking up in the hallway naked.Getting on the elevator with maintenance guy, no words where exchanged and I found my way back to my room.

We had a lovely brunch at the Crosby. Very good service and food, and the decor was lovely and inviting. The portions were a bit small, and there wasn't much accompanying most of the entrees, except for the burger, which one in my group had. The burger was just fine. Everything else was a la carte. The bread was lovely looking, but not great, kind of tasteless. We enjoyed dining in the space, it was so pretty, and although not small, the decor made it wam and cozy, yet also chic.I'd go back, but order more, or more carefully so I don't leave hungry. Mind you, ordering more food is liable to be expensive, and it was already an expensive brunch, but it was really relaxing to be there.I also note, to my great surprise, and joy, there were several cute little dogs there as well. Or maybe not so surprising, as the hotel is part of a group with really charming boutique hotels in the UK, one of which I had the pleasure of staying and dining at.

Love, Love the Crosby Hotel bar/restaurant! The deco is absolutely fabulous, great big art installations inside & outside. Drinks great & so is the food. They're known for the tea experience - you know, what the Brits do.

Mixed review here. We checked in around 5pm & experienced for the first time what can best be described as a cold and rather unfriendly welcome. The dark, older overweight male clerk sternly denied my polite and simple request for a late checkout and repeated No and it will be at 11am, twice for some odd reason. I have travelled all over the world and this was the first time this has happened. We had dinner reservations at 6pm and were back out of the room rather quickly. I found the room to be very clean and comfortable. We arrived back at the hotel around 6am and this time a younger clerk politely and warmly greeted us with a smile and a good morning.I politely asked if a late checkout was possible, he smiled said that wouldnt be a problem and asked me how much time would I would need. He was happy to accomidate us a late checkout. The two stars is for the experience at check in. If I was able to rate the room and the other staff there would be 5 stars.

Stayed here one Saturday night. Upon check-in around 4pm, the front desk notified us and apologized that "due to construction work by Con-Edison, the hot water will be out from 10pm to 4am" in our section of the building. At that time, not anticipating showering during that window of time, it was OK. However, upon arrival to the room, a paper in the room listed the hours as "10pm to 8am" which is significantly less convenient and seemed like a bait and switch, where someone checking in would OK the 4am timeline only to find it was actually 8am upon arrival in their room.Further, the hot water was not back on by after 8am and prior to checkout, our party needed to take cold showers. We were out to breakfast from 9am until we checked out around 10:30am and did not check to see of the hot water was restored before leaving.Upon checkout, no further comments or apologies were made. No offers of a partial credit, Hyatt points, or any remuneration for a hotel room with no functioning hot water for much of the stay was offered. The hotel location is great. The lobby is visually appealing. The hallways of the hotel show clear signs of wear and tear with scratches and scuffs. The room itself has fairly comfortable beds, two uncomfortable low chairs, and a small closet for hanging clothes. It's New York prices for average facilities overall.

I picked this hotel because it seemed unique from other hotels and the location was farther from Times Square so a quieter location but still located next to the subway for easy transportation. What I was not aware of was the extra daily facility fees. The front desk called them "resort" fees that get you a free bottle of water and discounted parking. I asked if I could decline the fees and was told no. So expect an extra $57 daily fee. The room was small but it's NY so that was to be expected. However, what wasn't expected was that the entire bathroom was a frosted glass. Which could be pretty cool if you are just traveling with a spouse. But if traveling with your teenage children just beware, you can see into the shower from the bedroom and not just a silhouette. Also, the door into the bathroom does not have a handle, it is a large porthole that is eye level for your children to look right at you as you sit on the toliet. Just a heads up for future family travels, nice to stay somewhere different just be aware of the "uniqueness".

Great Chelsea location and close to subway. Front desk very helpful. Rooms are good, had to request water and coffee maker. Toiletries are middle of the road, no extras provided.Nice robe provided. Bed is quite low to the ground but comfortable. Lighting is very subdued so not great at night. Nice porthole window view. Coffee place in hotel has very limited hours. Very noisy rooftop bar that can be heard from my fifth floor room.
