A unique hotel with history and a very nice decor to enhance any stay while traveling. We stayed there for a couple days during the New Year's Holiday and had a wonderful experience. Great location in the middle of the city, safe and close to everything; restaurants, museums, all the attractions the city has to offer. I would highly recommend staying at the Guild House while in Philadelphia.

We bought out 11 rooms and the common spaces in the Guild House for our wedding and couldn't recommend it more! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and have so many fun details (we especially loved the Alice and its piano and giant living room). The service was outstanding -- we had a lot of last minute asks from the staff and they always responded quickly and professionally. We used the lounge for a brunch for ~35 people and it was perfect! Lots of people commented on how pretty and unique it was, noting it was a great way to end the wedding weekend. The location is also solid for exploring Philly -- it's about 30mins walking to any of the ends of Center City and right around the corner from some of Philly's better restaurants.

Absolutely amazing experience and stay. We rented The Alice as a getting ready space for my bridal party and used the lobby for our first look. The staff was very responsive and super accommodating. The rooms were absolutely STUNNING!! Highly recommend.

Great location. Centrally located. Close to everything. The hotel was beautiful. Stepping in was like stepping into a different era (while still enjoying all the modern amenities) . The rooms each have their own style. Common area was great to enjoy a beverage at the end of the day with friends. I would go again.

My husband and I just got home from a beautiful weekend. Everything about this boutique hotel was incredible. The owners were extremely friendly and even upgraded us for my husband’s birthday. It was quiet and private, but if you wanted to be with everyone, they had a little lounge downstairs. The outdoor space was cozy and beautiful. The owner spent the time going over the map of the town with us and explained everything in such a way that we felt like we were pros walking around Philadelphia for the weekend lol. Because it’s located in a more residential part of the city it’s super quiet yet still close to everything! It was extremely clean and the beds were really comfortable. Highly, Highly, Highly recommend.!

Vittoria and Ken have created a beautiful oasis in the heart of Center City. This boutique hotel is nestled in the Rittenhouse neighborhood. The rooms are very well designed with next to zero sound coming in from outside which is rare in a city. There is a gorgeous outside garden with plenty of space to unwind. The Dwight D truly feels like your own private townhome with everything you could want within walking distance.

An exquisite blend of old and new, the Dwight D will be our go-to escape for years to come! The owners' attention to detail and good taste are evident throughout the boutique hotel, from L'Occitane bath products to luxe linens and robes to chic cocktails and snacks. Rooms beckon the striking antique design of the original building, nuanced by contemporary decor. Hoteliers Vittoria and Ken spare no expense in ensuring guests feel pampered but not suffocated: complimentary Tea Forté served in the lounge, iPad terminal in each room, complimentary luggage transfer. An impeccable boutique experience!

We loved the Dwight D. The location was excellent and the hotel is so charming and thoughtfully appointed. The hosts were also great and very helpful. Our room was comfortable - great bed - and had everything we could want or need including a fridge and water. Highly recommend.

I stayed in a suite with my wife and was impressed with just about everything about this hotel. It is a boutique site, with rooms that offer privacy if desired, yet public spaces are available if you would like to join others.Everything was clean and new and all the finishes and furniture were top shelf. We enjoyed some after dinner aperitifs in the private courtyard and enjoyed the view from the huge picture windows.I highly recommend a stay here.

FAQs about romantic hotels in Philadelphia

What is the typical price range for romantic hotels in Philadelphia?

Romantic hotels in Philadelphia cater to a broad spectrum of budgets, with options ranging from cozy, boutique inns to opulent luxury suites. For budget-conscious couples, prices can start as low as $100 per night for charming accommodations with basic amenities. Mid-range options, offering more luxurious amenities and prime locations, typically fall between $200 and $350 per night. Those seeking the pinnacle of romance and luxury can expect to pay upwards of $400 per night, especially for hotels with panoramic city views, fine dining, and exclusive couples’ experiences. Seasonal fluctuations can significantly affect prices, with spring and fall generally seeing higher rates.

When is the best time to visit Philadelphia for a romantic getaway?

The best time for a romantic getaway to Philadelphia is during the spring (April to June) and fall (September to November) months. These seasons offer mild weather, perfect for exploring the city’s outdoor attractions, historical landmarks, and beautiful parks without the extreme cold of winter or the sweltering heat of summer. Spring brings blooming flowers and vibrant green spaces, while fall dazzles with its colorful foliage, making both seasons ideal for romantic strolls. Additionally, these periods avoid the peak tourist seasons, ensuring a more intimate experience at attractions and potentially lower hotel rates.

Do romantic hotels in Philadelphia offer special packages for couples?

Yes, many romantic hotels in Philadelphia offer special packages tailored specifically for couples looking to enhance their stay with unique and memorable experiences. These packages often include amenities such as champagne on arrival, in-room couples’ massages, romantic dinners at the hotel’s restaurant, and sometimes even private tours of Philadelphia’s most romantic spots. Additionally, some hotels provide customized experiences based on the couple’s interests, such as tickets to a show or museum, a picnic in one of the city’s picturesque parks, or a sunset cruise along the Delaware River. To make the most of these offerings, it’s advisable to inquire directly with the hotel when booking.
