Staff is amazing. Brian and Cesar especially just the best. But all are great. Hotel is quaint and cute. They have a beautiful front “porch” great for enjoying nightly cocktails from the bar. We had a room near an external door and the door was constantly slamming. I’d avoid that room or any near it.Location is great. Short walk to the streetcar and a handful of tasty places including the cafe across the street. Yes please. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

My husband and I stayed at the Henry Howard Hotel for our first kid-free trip in nearly 9 years! First off, our flight was delayed. I was worried about getting in late night, BUT Bryan was there to greet us. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail is the main take-way, the King Superior room was larger than I thought, the bed so comfortable, the stylish art A+, the coffee was even the best I have ever had at a hotel. We had a wonderful 4 romantic days. I cannot wait for the next trip already planned for September! (Also shared on Trip Advisor).

Most Amazing Weekend!!Our daughter got engaged during Covid and so the planning started for a 2022 Wedding!! We decided toBook the Wedding Party Stay at the Henry Howard! Suzanne was our North Star!! Her expertise was exactly what we needed being so far out and so far away! The Henry Howard presents beauty, character, a classic time piece which has been preserved by the people who most love her , the people who work there! They take great pride in keeping her that way. We were made to feel at home! Their kindness, warmth and knowledge from the day we got there and throughout our stay was stellar! Which really says a lot about how they are taken care of! You’ve got an Amazing Home there with amazing people! The Wedding was magical and The Henry Howard was a big part of it!! Looking forward to coming back!! Thank you Suzanne for everything!!So appreciative for you and your staff!Teresa Reynolds

I stayed in a two bedroom suite this past weekend and experienced several issues with our room. The shower continuously shut off as we were using it and the toilet had issues flushing throughout our stay as well. We complained multiple times about both problems, but they persisted throughout our stay. We also requested fresh towels one day and came back to find our room had not been serviced. I went to the front desk and got the towels myself. All these problems were very frustrating and this does not even cover the other issues with the hotel such as peeling wallpaper, windowsills that had clearly never been cleaned and lackluster water pressure. The only highlights were that the front desk employees were very nice and the location is ideal.

The rooms are fine. Unfortunately you can hear a lot of street noise so if that bothers you then maybe try somewhere else. The ladies working at the bar and the check in area are wonderful and so nice. They always were laughing with me and smiling! I felt their New Orleans spirit.

This hotel was awesome! Every room is suite style, which makes you feel like royalty. I loved the added touch of a record player in room with fantastic vintage jazz records. There was so much space to dance to! The customer service was impeccable and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was the bomb and the eggs were so fluffy! The decor and ambiance was perfect! Location was great, right near the River, casino and French quarter! We will definitely be coming back Mercantile! Thank you for a wonderful night and wonderful hospitality!

This place was such a great hotel! It was walking distance to the French Quarter. It was a modern hotel with a Nola twist. I loved the exposed brick in our room and the record player! We played lots of jazz while we were getting ready to go out to Bourbon Street. We will definitely be back in the future!
