We went with a senior group trip when a lot of other senior groups were there as well. We got there at 1130 and out of all the groups that came after us and our group, my mom and I were the last to get our room key at 4:15. We waited all that time just for our room which I have to say was nothing special. Roof view and the beds were nothing great compared to some of the other rooms we saw. The food was great except for 1 of the nights when the service for us was super slow. Took 20 minutes just to get water refilled. Would we come back... absolutely not!! To the Island, yes, but not to the grand hotel.

My wife took me to the Grand Hotel for my birthday. It’s one of those bucket list places you’ve just got to see! The Grand is everything it’s built up to be. The accommodations, the views, the experience of crossing the straits on a ferry! That said, when we go back , I would choose another one of the many options for our stay. The Grand offers beautiful amenities such as the huge lobby and the large porch, but you have to share with the constant influx of tours coming through. I get it, it’s a destination hotel and everyone wants to see it, but for the money you pay to stay there you don’t expect to fight crowds! Twice a female employee at the ice cream entrance yelled at me and my wife asking us if we are guests of the hotel! A bit odd and embarrassing being we paid 700 per night to stay there! Actually that bothered more than anything. What did we do to deserve that. Everyone looked at us! Kinda deserved an apology for that but nothing. Anyway, it Just takes away from the charm of this beautiful hotel when you have hundreds of senior citizens cramming into the lobby with their name and tour number on a lanyard hanging around their neck. Again love the Grand and top notch service just next time another hotel would be more relaxing

We decided on the Grand Hotel for our anniversary, and it was a fantastic choice. There's a lovely balance of historical charm and modern comfort. The dining was an experience in itself – truly delightful. We enjoyed sipping drinks on the porch and unwinding at the Cupola Bar. Plus, the car-free atmosphere of the island is such a refreshing change. A heads up: they have a dress code after 6pm, which added a classy touch to our evenings. Overall, a memorable stay that we'd highly recommend.

What can I say is the grand hotel? Absolutely top-notch amazing!!! My wife and I and two girls went here for the night. Enjoyed dinner, High Tea and a bountiful breakfast! The dinner offers a multitude of options that are not in your ordinary menu. Very classy, high-end dining experience for breakfast tea and dinner alike dancing in the evening after 6 PM must be formal attire simply walking around the ground and enjoying all the hotel has to offer is unlike any other experience you have likely encountered!

We enjoyed a 2- night stay at the Hotel Iroquois and chose the two Queen Room (second floor) that overlooked water. It was spectacular! The room was so spacious and clean. Each morning we would watch the sun rise as the early ferries left for the mainland. We also ate a special meal at the Carriage House dining room on one evening. This dinner was 5-star and memorable! I'm so glad that we chose to stay at this hotel and can't wait to return again on our next trip to the island! 5 STARS!!

A beautiful hotel~ staff very friendlyVery clean! The dock was amazing 💛& My favorite place to be 😊. The carriage house restaurant was also beautiful. Very expensive but you pay for what you get …we went for three nights for the Labor Day weekend. We had a balcony first floor room 101 very tiny and so was the balcony. The room next to us I could hear through the walls and there was no privacy on the balcony if they came out on their balcony. I would suggest trying to make the balcony’s somehow more private 🤷🏻‍♀️ but that’s my personal opinion & only suggestion…I need my privacy 💛 especially the price we paid, was at a premium because of the balcony in Lakeview !

Our son's and bride to be wedding rehearsal dinner for 40plus guest was outstanding.Food, service, atmosphere both inside dining and then outdoor after hour drinks, with 160 guest, could not have been better. Including the new dock facilities. New owner has carried on a remarkable tradition of excellence. We are long time summer East Bluff residents, and the experience exceeded our expectations.Thank you all for a wonderful memorable evening.

Nice place to stay on the island - location was the best. Not far from the ferry at all - short walk. Historical home / hotel - no elevator so you may have to walk a couple of flights of stairs if you are on 2nd or 3rd floor. The staff was very nice. Continental breakfast was okay. The grounds are kept very nice and lots of beautiful flowers and windows to look out. Very relaxing accommodations. Nice to have coffee on first floor, refills and for on the go - took mine with to sip on while waiting on the ferry to arrive on a chilly morning.

You will be so happy that you chose the Iroquois! The property is gorgeous, clean, and well managed. The location is perfect - at the end of the main street where it's less congested but easily walkable. The hotel staff members were so impressive, helpful and friendly! The round, four-season room at the front of the hotel is a peaceful place to sit and watch/listen to the "traffic" go by. The Carriage House restaurant is one of the best dining experiences we've had in all of our travels. We ate outside on the patio, and it was an exceptional dining experience. The guestroom bathrooms are small, but the sleeping room was more than adequate in size. We had a king room with a small balcony overlooking the straits and the lighthouse. The room was very clean and crisp. Don't let the size of the bathroom keep you from choosing this hotel ... you will not regret it. You will be recommending this hotel to others.
