This place is great. I love to stay here when I’m in town the staff is courteous and helpful. The only issue I had was my room could’ve been a little cleaner. Last time was here the room was immaculate, but I had a rockstar, sweet, so maybe that’s why. And with all the rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia it’s a really unique place to visit.

I am getting ready to have a big medical procedure done and my husband has been a champ at taking me to my appointments and driving me all over the place.I wanted to surprise him with a little getaway for Valentine's Day/A. Thank you to him for that. So I jumped online and looked for places that were fairly close to home and found the Hard Rock Casino in Sioux City and decided that I would book a room for us there. When I was looking at the website I noticed that they had a gastro pub restaurant and they were offering a Valentine's Day menu which had New York strip steak on it, which is my husband's favorite. The restaurant is called Main and Abbey. We arrived for our reservation that was for 8:00 p.m. at 7:50 and we were seated immediately. It was brought to our attention by our waitress that our table had not been cleaned. So she immediately went and grabbed a rag and a dry rag and came back and cleaned our table off for us.Are waitresses name was Cali C. We ordered the New York strip steak medium well with Parmesan, garlic fries and a side of their Brussels sprouts. The steak came out cooked to perfection. It was very juicy. Very tender. Not a lot of fat. The french fries were perfectly seasoned with a garlic and the parmesan and the Brussels sprouts had the perfect amount of walnuts and pomegranate drizzle on them and they were perfectly crispy.Cali C. Our waitress was very bubbly, helpful, personable, attentive and just overall a great waitress. When we got done eating we decided that we were going to just walk around the casino and check out all of the different things that they have there from different music artists and things like that. And we found a lot of dresses and shirts and guitars and things of that nature that were from music talent from the past and the present. We decided that we are going to gamble a little bit and played a few different machines and ended up having a really good time gambling one just a little bit of money back and when we were getting ready to leave we decided that since we even gambling for quite a few hours that we were going to grab something to eat before we went back up to our room and we grabbed a cheeseburger from the little restaurant called fuel and that food was very good. Even though they were close to closing they still took our order. Still were very kind and made us our order and made it available to go.
Specifically reviewing the Hard Rock Hotel and not necessarily the casino. The rooms here are VERY nice, from the historic building to the modern touches. The pillow count and variety of pillows is exquisite and the beds are truly very new and comfortable.I presonally stayed here about a half dozen times so far and i can tell you honestly i have never heard any noise from outside nor the hallways.Always clean, quiet and very comfortable.

This place is right off the interstate which was nice, also they have 3 parking lots to pick from when staying, one near the entrance, the other across the street and the third in the parking garage.Walking in I was greeted and given 2 complementary drink cards to redeem at any bar or even the front seat which had a full bar as well for any alcoholic or non alcoholic drink. Bottled water is complementary also but we did not know that until the morning checking out, as there is no water in the room except 2 bottles in the bathroom that you are charged $4 each if they are opened…If you have never stayed in a hard rock hotel (which we hadn’t) the place feels expensive even though the rate was only about $170 for a weekday. I’ve stayed at some crummy places with rates like that. The hotel elevator can only be used by guests with room keys so you don’t have random people from the casino checking things out who shouldn’t be on your floor. The room was very nice except for 2 things. The bed looked clean but upon inspection of the sheet you sleep on there was evidence of hairs and dirt from where someone had either slept on it and it was not changed or the person making the bed had shed a bit while doing the bed. We were not too concerned because the rest of the bed and pillows looked very clean. The other thing is that a lot of there stuff if not used stays in the room for the next guest with tampered stickers. There was a bottle of lotion in the bathroom that upon first inspection looked new like the rest of the stuff in there except the tamper sticker was torn so we threw it away without using it. The rooms also have a “your room has been cleaned” sticker on the outside doors. Make sure you thrown those away so they don’t reuse those as well to make sure your room was definitely cleaned and not just looked over and taped back up with the previous sticker. The room also felt like you were in a fancy New York apartment with the open type ceiling and exposed beams and air ducts.

Went on a women's retreat here and it was fantastic. The rooms were perfect with jacuzzis which I loved. The service was wonderful. And the breakfast was awesome too. We are planning on coming again next year. Can't wait. We also walked the trails too. Had to be a little careful cause this time if winter you can expect a little ice and snow but for the most part it was just wet. I took several pictures on the walk. Saw a few deer and a buffalo statue that looks real from afar. Pretty Neat-O! Thanks for everything Oakwood Inn.

We absolutely love this place. The rooms are beautiful and well cared for, the hosts are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. It’s a great mix of classic rustic B&B style but with modern conveniences and amenities. My wife and I have stayed here twice in the offseason just to get away and we’ll definitely come back again.

The words to describe this place include elegant, lovely, delightful, decadent. The location is three stars because there’s really no great reason to come to this area other than the Oakwood Inn. But the grounds on which it sits are beautiful and well thought out. If you are passing through or even remotely in the area, stay here! The decor is elegant from the rose china served with breakfast and the luxurious bed to the lush garden grounds. The owners are absolutely delightful and accommodating as well. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to all.

We love the property! It is relaxing to sit outside, swing and watch the birds. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is a very enjoyable experience. It’s always something yummy! Bill and Bridget do a great job anticipating the needs and wants of the people who stay with them. We really enjoy spending time here!

My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast for our wedding night 12 years ago under different ownership. It was a beautiful experience then and it was a beautiful experience under the new owners as well. Breakfast was fantastic (they were even able to accommodate a gluten free diet), the building was quiet (no kids allowed unless the entire building is rented out), and everything was clean and comfortable! Both times we’ve stayed it’s only been for one night, so we didn’t really get the opportunity to enjoy ALL of the amenities available to guests, but it would be a very comfortable place to stay for several days. My four stars for the location are only because of its proximity to the highway. Sitting on our shared balcony, there was quite a bit of traffic noise mixed with the beautiful sounds of nature in the gardens. All in all, we very happily plan to be back!
