Is same group made it impossible to use pool day before. Worst ever.
Pros:
The beds were comfortable
The room was spacious
Mini fridge was nice
A/C worked very well
Staff seemed nice
The workout room was nice. Several workout machines and some weights. Towels were available.
Close to restaurants, gas stations and a grocery store less than a mile away.
Very close to Interstate 80.
Cons:
Our room could have been cleaned better.
A card was left on the nightstand with the housekeeper's name and a QR code to leave a tip. Ironically, the card was left right beside some kind of thick drink stain.
The light fixtures were dusty.
We brought some cleaning wipes and took less than 5 minutes to wipe down all surfaces. I know......I shouldn't have to do that but I would do that anywhere I stay.
Coffee in the lobby was weak but there is a Dunkin Donuts in front of the hotel and a Starbucks right down the road.
I felt safe in the hotel and it was quiet while we were there.
Don't think I would stay here again
Pros:
Pretty quiet
Has gym & pool, nice equipment, and had towels
Safe location
WiFi in gym
Decent breakfast
AC in room 105 desperately needs servicing
Cons:
Rooms 105 & 107 were terribly moldy/mildewy
Carpets were very dirty… turned feet not quite black after just morning walking on carpet
Outlet on desk didn’t work
No passcode for WiFi, and WiFi didn’t work in the rooms. Had to use my hotspot.
Bed was very hard
Shower took 5 minutes to adjust
No coffee pod machine
Smoking area outside building had a door to the lobby and the desk staff was out there constantly, only coming in when someone was standing at the desk. And the smoke came in with them.
Had to ask desk staff to open gym.
Temperature in gym was 73°, but set to 65° (wouldn’t go lower) I think, evidently the AC in gym wasn’t working.
Clock in gym was at 9:20 the entire time we were in there, which made us have to super rush to check out in time.
No remote for the tv in the gym
Staff in general was just not happy with their jobs, evidently
Left a $5 tip for housekeeping because with the lack of time (from broken clock in gym) I didn’t get to strip the bedding or tie up the trash bags like I normally do.
Front Desk: not very friendly at all. Most of the time they disappear and you are just standing there waiting.
Rooms: Decent level of cleanliness; but they are not "prepared" for you; many times I go back to the front desk and ask for tissue papers or towels as room would be missing those. TV remotes don't work.
Bathroom: moldy shower tubs, VERY LOW water pressure in sink and bath. You literally have to stand under the drip-drip shower head. This issue is universal for all rooms (I stayed five times this year and tried).
Breakfast: Poor quality of fresh fruits; meat spatula mixed with vegetables; limited choices.
Gym: you always have to find the front desk to open the door for you.
PLEASE spend a few dollars per night more, and stay at Hampton Inn across the street. You won't be disappointed.
Breakfast was great!
The room and workout room were very clean.
The staff was very kind, joyful and eager to help. Thank you Justine and Sheila for your professionalism and courtesy!
Would highly recommend this hotel!

The last time a couple of weeks ago, which I brought to the attention of the front desk which she seemed very concerned with the pictures I had shown her...had told me I will be contacted from the manager Adam Pondillo. I was never given the respect of a phone call, I left a voicemail and spoke to front desk and was told I will hear from him right away. I never did. I assume he really doesn't have respect for guests that stay at his hotel, and it really shows by the condition of how the hotel looks. The only clean part of the place is the lobby, it smells nice and clean, you see staff working to keep it nice. But it stops at that point. My room had filthy carpets, I had to wear shoes at all times walking around. The drapes were hanging broken at the one side, peeling wallpaper, split lampshades on the wall and the worst was the black mold in the fridge. The whole weekend there the one elevator was out of commission, trying to wait for an elevator with my son with a knee injury and brace on was a huge inconvenience. My self having bad ankle issues had to venture the stairs multiple times and tripped on dirty towels going into the staircase to go upstairs. There was garbage and swim towels thrown all over the floor...it definitely didn't happen in a days time....was awhile since that hallway was cleaned.
I feel the need to warn people about wasting there hard earned money at this hotel, Adam clearly doesn't care about guests and is letting this hotel turn into a dump.
The front desk staff was just there. When I checked in I was verbally given literally no information including my room number. I walked past a minimum of 4 times per day for work and the gym and not a single time was I greeted.
When I got to my room, it appeared clean, but it was just clean on the surface. Someone else’s hair and dirty earring were in the bathroom and I don’t mean like hidden in the back corner under the vanity. Very visible and just not cleaned or checked. The housekeeping staff was friendly though in the two interactions I had with them.
The maintenance of the place was even worse than the cleanliness. I am very understanding that somethings are just old, but most of the issues were controllable. First thing I noticed was one of the two elevators was down (caution tape and all) my entire 5 day stay. This caused lines at the first floor and it took over 5 minutes some mornings to be able to take one down. Additionally, in my room the shower did not drain and there were some really bad repairs that were just laziness. I did not call them to fix the shower as I don’t like people in my room when I am traveling alone, so maybe they would have fixed that right away, but I don’t know.
To top it off, I am not an expert, but my 10-years in facilities and the abhorrent smell in the gym makes me believe they should be in communication with a remediation company. Maybe they are, but based on the smell and damage seen in my room, doesn’t appear to be going very fast. Gym equipment has visible rust, no weights and the pool, while blue, was very cloudy.
The rooms were clean but personally the bed was a little on the hard side for me. My daughter thought it was fine.
The pool was huge and really nice!
Over all I was impressed with this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
