Saint Charles Hot Tub Hotels: Quick Guide

Quick reference for booking a Jacuzzi suite in Saint Charles and the surrounding area, Illinois

Best Time to Visit

  • Fall (September-November): The best season in the Fox River Valley, with autumn foliage along the river, comfortable temperatures, and active cultural events in the charming downtowns of St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia. The Scarecrow Festival in St. Charles (October) is a popular annual draw. Good availability at most properties with moderate pricing.
  • Summer (June-August): Warm and pleasant, with outdoor dining along the Fox River, kayaking, biking trails, and local farmers' markets. The western suburbs see steady leisure and business traffic. Hotels near Schaumburg and Addison benefit from summer convention activity at the Schaumburg Convention Center. Book 2-3 weeks ahead for summer weekends.
  • Spring (April-May): Mild weather with blooming gardens and the Fox River at its most scenic. Geneva's Third Street shopping district and the Fabyan Villa Museum are pleasant to explore. Good availability and moderate pricing.
  • Winter (December-February): Cold with snow, temperatures in the 20s and 30s. Holiday events like the St. Charles Christmas Walk and Geneva's Christmas Walk draw visitors in December. Otherwise the quietest season, with the lowest pricing. In-room Jacuzzis and fireplaces are especially appealing during Midwest winters.
Booking tip: The St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia corridor along the Fox River offers a charming small-town alternative to downtown Chicago, which is about 40 miles east. These western suburbs are popular for couples' getaways, anniversary weekends, and romantic retreats. The Herrington Inn and Spa in Geneva is the standout romantic property in the region. Properties in Schaumburg and Addison are more business-oriented but offer proximity to Woodfield Mall and corporate campuses.

Important Booking Tips for Saint Charles

  • Confirm the exact room type: Jacuzzi and hot tub rooms are specific upgrade categories. Look for "Jacuzzi Suite," "Whirlpool Room," "Spa King," "Fantasy Suite" (Sybaris), or "Hot Tub Suite" when booking. At Courtyard, Country Inn, and Hampton Inn properties, not every room includes a private tub.
  • Sybaris distinction: Sybaris Downers Grove is not a traditional hotel. It is a dedicated romantic retreat with private swimming pools, waterfalls, and steamrooms built into each suite. Rooms are booked exclusively by couples for overnight stays. There is no lobby, restaurant, or public common areas. If you are looking for a fantasy suite experience rather than a standard hotel Jacuzzi, Sybaris is the only option of its kind in this dataset.
  • Fox River Valley vs. Schaumburg/Addison: The Fox River towns (St. Charles, Geneva, Batavia) offer a charming small-town atmosphere with riverfront dining, boutique shopping, and a quieter pace. Schaumburg and Addison are more suburban and business-oriented, closer to Chicago, with Woodfield Mall and corporate campuses. Choose based on whether you want a romantic small-town feel or urban suburban convenience.
  • EV charging available: Hilton Garden Inn Addison and Hampton Inn and Suites Chicago/Aurora both offer EV charging stations. If driving an electric vehicle, these are the only two properties in the dataset with confirmed charging availability.
  • Pet-friendly picks: Holiday Inn and Suites Elgin, Holiday Inn Express Aurora-Naperville, Quality Inn and Suites St Charles, Hilton Garden Inn Addison, Hampton Inn and Suites Chicago/Aurora, and Country Inn and Suites Schaumburg all accept pets. Confirm fees and size limits before booking.
  • Free breakfast included: Country Inn and Suites Schaumburg, Country Inn and Suites Elgin, Holiday Inn Express Aurora-Naperville, Quality Inn and Suites St Charles, and Hampton Inn and Suites Chicago/Aurora all include free breakfast. The Herrington Inn and Spa and Courtyard St. Charles have on-site restaurants but do not include complimentary breakfast in the base rate.

Nice accommodations. Clean, pleasant staff, good value for the price paid. Sandy at the front desk was super hospitable! Always had a smile and warm greeting! We were there for a lacrosse tournament and she always wished us luck as we left for a game. Will definitely stay there again.
My stay at Courtyard by Marriott St. Charles was truly fantastic. From the moment I first called the front desk and spoke with Paula, to the moment I arrived, she made me feel genuinely welcome. Kind, down-to-earth, and incredibly skilled at multitasking, Paula ensured my check-in was seamless while juggling multiple responsibilities with ease. She greeted guests, answered calls, remembered room details, and even shared a lighthearted personal story—all at once. I was honestly impressed by her ability to handle everything so effortlessly.

The hotel itself is nestled in a peaceful, tree-lined location, creating a relaxing atmosphere. My room was clean and well-appointed, and the balcony was an unexpected perk that most hotels don’t offer.

If you’re looking for exceptional service and a warm, welcoming environment, this is the perfect place to stay. A huge thank you to Paula for making my visit so memorable! I highly recommend this hotel, whether traveling for business or leisure

I recently stayed at the Marriott and had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Paula. She went above and beyond to make sure my experience was smooth and enjoyable. Paula was incredibly personable, attentive, and genuinely helpful from the moment I arrived. Her warm demeanor and willingness to assist with anything I needed made all the difference in my stay. It’s rare to come across someone who truly cares about guest experience the way she does. Thank you, Paula, for your outstanding service—you’re a true asset to the Marriott team!

As a long-time Marriott patron, I've always appreciated their service, but recently I've been disappointed with the declining quality of customer support and amenities, leading me to think about trying a different hotel brand. We recently stayed at a Courtyard, which is supposed to be one of Marriott's better options. Unfortunately, the room had an unpleasant odor, indicating it wasn't properly cleaned, although the beds were tidy and comfortable.

We also found there weren't enough towels for our family of four, and the staff seemed limited in their ability to provide extra towels or help with our questions.

On a brighter note, the hotel is conveniently located near the Arcada Theater.

I recently stayed at the St. Charles Courtyard Marriott, and I had an amazing experience, all thanks to the incredible customer service. I want to give a special shout-out to Breanna at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel so welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Her helpfulness and positive attitude truly made my day better, and it's rare to come across someone so genuinely attentive and kind.

If you're looking for a hotel with not just great accommodations, but exceptional service, I highly recommend the St. Charles Courtyard Marriott. Breanna is an absolute gem, and her dedication to guest satisfaction is a true asset to the hotel. Thank you again for making my stay so memorable!

This is absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. I don't typically stay at value hotels, but we needed a pet friendly room And it was a last-minute decision. Thankfully, we only stayed here one night and immediately transferred To the holiday Inn in Elgin. Brand new hotel. $30 more per night.

This hotel is located in a nice area of Saint Charles. And the grounds are actually very nice. It is pet friendly, and there is a nice expansive OK area for dogs to run. The problem here is that the rooms are extremely rundown. The hallway is very worn. And the biggest problem is the smell of smoke. Absolutely everything in this hotel reeks of smoke. It absolutely reeks. My head was pounding from the smell of smoke. My asthma started up. The smell is absolutely horrific. I don't know if people are allowed to smoke in the rooms, but they clearly do. They smoke when they are walking their dogs. They smoke in the hallways. Everything absolutely reeks of smoke. I could barely get through the night. When I mentioned it to the desk person the next morning, he acted completely shocked. Like he had never heard that feedback. And he basically "clutched his pearls" asking if I had seen someone smoking in the hallway. Are you kidding me? The place absolutely reeks of smoke. We are in the process of moving out of the US. So we needed a quick stay here as our home had recently sold. And we have a large dog. We had rented the hotel for a couple of weeks, but canceled immediately. So the hotel lost about $1500 in revenue. And the only reason is because it is disgusting and reeks of smoke. Not a great way to run a business.

Checked in and our room was on the second floor. Desk clerk never told us how to get to our room. So we just went up the main stairs from the lobby. Could not find room so went to lobby where clerk said oh yeah you got to go all the way down the first floor to the stairs because all of the second floor is not connected. So had to lug our luggage up and down stairs several times and thru the first floor hallway thru the ongoing construction. Get into room and notice the bathroom door has what looks like a small punch hole. So go back down stairs to show them a picture so we don't get charged for damage. Go down to the pool. The pool was filthy. Shredded pieces of baby pool diaper everywhere. Woman's fake eyelashes on the ground by the pool. Pool was filled with so much grass, hair, dirt and dead bugs. I grabbed their skimmer and worked on cleaning the pool for an hour before I got in. Bottom of pool was dirty and has not been cleaned in a while. Also our keys stopped working the next day and had to get new ones. Turned down the AC in our room to 61 and it never got cold. Beds were flat and hard. No cushion to them. I know I booked a value hotel and not expecting the Ritz Carlton but it was still below standards. Laundry cart sat outside of our room for a whole day. Several rooms set their trash into the hallway where it sat for a day or more. Not happy with what I booked and would not recommend it.

Everything was pretty good for the most part. The front desk staff was pretty nice and my hotel room was really quiet and clean which was wonderful. The only problems that I had come across was when housekeeping was being kinda pushy on cleaning after we had only been there for 2 nights and no cleaning was needed and I repeatedly said no thank you. I also felt like the breakfast included in your stay is very misleading because all they provided was cereal the entire stay, and I was under the impression that they would be cooking. The pool was also not cleaned so unfortunately I did not get in.

First, we arrived early an hour or so before check in and to get in our room early it cost me $30. The room was clean and smelled good. The hallways did stink bad. The staff was great. My granddaughter spilled a Shirley temple and I used a towel to clean up. Upon checking out I received a phone call I was being charged $20 because they were throwing the sheet and towel out. Did they not hear of bleach? I asked for a late check out and again they said it was $30. I have never been to a place where you are a member and they want to charge you for everything. This place is a ridiculous and the worst Quality Inn with all these charges. If I knew this I would have stayed at a better hotel because they try and charge you and you end up paying the same as a nicer hotel, go there

The staff staff at this hotel went over and beyond. They were the most kindest people I have ever met! Only one thing went wrong. I had told an employee about our Jacuzzi suite. The Jacuzzi wasn’t working properly and he did offer to have us switch rooms, but at that point, my husband was already asleep, and I didn’t want to switch rooms. It would have been a hassle. We had already unloaded all of our stuff and again like I said, my husband was asleep already for the evening and I wasn’t going to wake him up to switch rooms. I had told , the front desk gentleman about the situation and all he did was apologize. I explained to him that that was the whole reason why we chose their hotel was for the Jacuzzi and it was disappointing that it didn’t work properly. In my opinion, he should have offered a discount on the room or a free hotel stay next time we’re in town or anything at all, but nothing was said and I was very disappointed.
