Location is a 4 Star because of the lack of places to eat in the area. You have Chappies and Old Mill, assuming Old Mill is open. After that, you are driving 8+ miles. 8 milew does not sound like much until you make the left onto some road that winds through the mountains. If you are only here for a couple of days and do not mind just the 2 local restaurants, then no biggie. Chappies was good, so you always have that as an option again again, if you do not want the long drive. Note that you will need to drive to these two restaurants, about a mile/two, and they are near the other Roxbury hotel (we stayed there too, this hotel was better).

Cell service is also really spotty. Make sure you have WiFi Calling enabled. Speaking of WiFi, the service they provided was very fast and just about everywhere. Bravo on that.

That said, the place is awesome. We stayed in the Galileo, and Dracula room and both were the coolest rooms ever. A shame we did not get a clear night to star gaze and see he moon with the telescope in the Galileo room observation loft. You will not be disappointed with either room. They put a lot of thought into the rooms and the attention to detail is noticeable. Well done.

The pool and Crooked House were amazing as well as was the service we experienced. I only wish they still had the on-site spa services. When you visit the Crooked House you can see the elaborate spa setup they have. You can use the facilities, just no services like a massage and such. The grounds are well kept and the hike to the waterfall was a great way to spend time. The observation deck is very well done.

My family and I truly cannot recommend The Roxbury enough. We stayed in the Coconut Cream Pie room our first night and quickly realized this place was simply too amazing to only stay for only one day. The pictures do not do this place justice. We chose to extend our stay in the Crown Of The Pendragons cottage. The entire space is spectacular but the bathtub room on the second floor is truly unreal (yes it is a whole room). The decor was beautiful and the outside patio was peaceful. Both nights we were amazed by the thoughtful design of the spaces — they truly have everything you could need. The best part of staying here, however has to be the staff. They were friendly and made us feel so welcome! The only downside of staying here is you will never want to leave! Can’t wait to come back!!

The rooms are gorgeous fun different designs they are very unique, definitely a perfect place to go for something different. The location is not great not many food options near by, so that was disappointing. They charged me xtra for the spa/ pool and the room was very expensive. I would return Just because I would want to stay a different room each one is differently decorated. next time….. I would bring snacks and drinks and just chill. They did have a cute little hiking trail that was nice , over all it is a nice weekend getaway if you want a unique fantasy looking room like no other . I wish I took pictures !!! Next time!!

This was our first time staying here, but hoping it won't be the last! The grounds were beautiful, the room was so clean and the attention to detail in the theme was amazing. Even though it poured most of the time we were there, the included amenities were great and not many better places to be than a gorgeous themed room when the weather is not ideal.

The rooms are amazing, almost beyond belief. We stayed in the farie forest cottage and it was beautiful. They put in so much detail. Staff was very friendly. Pool was great and the waterfall was cool. We did a short trip, so not sure how much there is to do in the area.

I enjoyed staying at the Haus Of Windham. It was very romantic and I loved the shower. Everything was spotless. Restaurants are all within 5 minutes drive and are very welcoming. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quick get away .

Great place to stay! Extremely cosy with a hot tub and personal sauna! Very helpful team if you also have questions. Would recommend to anyone looking for some relaxing time. Wyndham town nearby has some great little family run restaurants as well which added to the nice experience

Great location, clean room.

Location is close to the main town area of Windham which has some fabulous restaurants and it’s a great location for skiers and hikers.

Stayed in the most basic option here which was the deluxe double bed room - (Hamilton suite)
As a first time customer we weren’t familiar with how to check in- booking through Priceline didn’t tell us which room we had or where to get any keys or a code … and upon arriving we didn’t see any lobby to check in. Luckily we ran into someone driving around who worked there when we arrived and they helped us to figure out which room and code we had (obviously they worked there but they didn’t really introduce themself or anything) . The property has a few different roads that lead to different buildings and the wood signage is very faded and hard to read - it can use a repaint .

The room itself was wonderful and clean, beds and pillows really comfortable , working tv and AC. My only complaint is there is NO coffee machine, microwave , mini fridge , or cups and even the cheapest motel rooms usually include that — this area caters big to hikers and sometimes hikers leave for hikes as early as sunrise when most coffee shops or food places aren’t open yet— so it would be nice to be able to make a cup of coffee or warm up some breakfast we bring ourselves. I understand that the more expensive suites probably include this but as the cheapest suite, it’s still listed at $198 a night plus fees and even motels that are half the price usuallly include these amenities I mentioned .

Bottom line, I would stay here again but I would be a little more prepared next time to make sure I figure out which room I’m staying in and to possibly bring my own equipment to make coffee and whatnot . Or I might try one of the nicer suites .

A really cool and unique weekend retreat. Windham is a very quaint, small town so don’t expect much if you decide to visit from out of town. We stayed in one of the two mirror houses which was definitely cool, but know what you’re getting yourself into. As advertised, the place is very small and is basically a tiny house - don’t expect much extra room. Also it’s ran off a generator so if your wife is trying to run a hair straightener, expect it to trip the breaker. While the hot tub sounded like a great amenity to unwind at the end of the day, the water was really dirty and in desperate need of a change / cleaning. We elected not to get in it after a weird smell and clearly very murky water…a little disappointing considering this is one of the main draws to the property. Definitely bring bug spray if you plan to spend some time outside. The room is by no means dirty but we did have to kill a few ants that found their way inside. Thankfully we have a 4WD vehicle - I do not recommend this place if you don’t have something with AWD. There is a marginally improved gravel driveway that leads to the room which has a steep incline. I was glad we had our truck. Overall a good experience but for the price, I honestly would have expected a little more ‘luxury’ with at least a clean hot tub that was a big draw compared to other places in town.

My girlfriend and I planned to spend three nights here during Easter weekend, hoping to do some hiking and explore the mountains while also having a relaxing place to stay, the hot tub being the main reason we chose to stay here. An hour before we were allowed to check in, we received a call from management that our unit we chose was suddenly unavailable and were being “upgraded” to a different unit, which ended up being one of the mirror cabins.

When we finally got inside, we were disappointed to see that the place had obviously not been prepped or cleaned before our arrival. There was no trash bag in the trash, barely any toilet paper, and the rug underneath the bed hadn’t been vacuumed and was covered in previous guests hair and crumbs. To make matters worse, the hot tub was had yellow water and the smell of chemicals was overpowering enough to sting our eyes. Pretty disappointing to have the one thing we were looking forward to be unusable!

Before going out for dinner that night, we couldn’t figure out how to lock the door to the cabin with the digital pin pad, despite calling management and being instructed by them. Eventually I was able to get it to work by hitting random buttons. When we came back later, we were unable to unlock the door with the code we were originally provided that worked earlier. We had to call management yet again, who weren’t much help and offered a different code which didn’t work either. Finally, the original code decided to work randomly after being stuck outside for over five minutes!

If we didn’t live over three hours away, we likely would have left and headed home right then and there. We probably had to phone management at least five times in a matter of a few hours since arriving due to various issues and questions, who were apparently somewhere in New Jersey. Thankfully, whoever was answering the calls picked up the phone every time we called, and we ended up getting a full refund after spending just the one night and leaving for home first thing in the morning.

What should have been a memorable and relaxing weekend away for us in this beautiful part of the state ended up leaving us with a huge headache and disappointment, and I’m not quite sure how this place has such high reviews given our disastrous experience here!
