The elevators were dirty. They didn't look as though they'd been vacuumed or wiped down since morning, and upon entering our room a strong undercurrent of smoke was present, we decided it wasn't worth our while to go back to the front desk complain and get another room, So we used our febreze and made the most of it. Very bland run-of-the-mill looking rooms. Nothing special, but clean. A few towels in the bathroom with thread bear and incapable of getting one dry at the sink or from the shower. The shower was clogged
,as the water gathered quickly around my ankles, even with water pressure that was extremely low and made it very difficult to get a good shower and feel comfortable. We let the folks at the front desk know first thing the next morning when we went out to eat, and the problem was taken care of when we came back along with the towels that we asked for. However, we were both awoken at 4:00 a.m. The sound of a pounding techno bass beat that lasted 30 minutes before we left the room going to other floors to locate the noise, to no avail. Returning to our room. Hoping wherever it was coming from had stopped it's issuance, to no avail.
We looked out into the parking lot thinking there might be a car out there that had lights on or people around it, and even tried looking towards the pool to see if there were people in that area, but couldn't make out anything. About an hour into this disaster, and both of us with headaches unable to go back to sleep, I called the front desk to ask if anyone else had made a complaint about the noise and I got a monotone disinterested,"No" as a reply, to which I asked. Did this attendant know if there was anyone in the pool, and I got the same disinterested almost a grunt, "No". Which told me it was no sense asking for help because the sound of the voice on the other end showed they could have cared less. By 5:45 the noise miraculously stopped, and my husband and I attempted another hour and a half of sleep, such as it was. We gathered up our things. Double-checked the room and left, noticing again that even in the early morning the inside of the elevator needed a good cleaning and the floor was dirty. However, the lobby looked great and the person on the desk was smiling. It's also a pity that at this particular holiday in there is no complimentary anything, water, coffee/ hot water, tea bags, or breakfast. You can get breakfast in a sit-down restaurant and pay for it. There wasn't even a place to purchase any water or snacks or sundries, And if there was I wasn't told anything about it at check-in. We try to stay in a Holiday Inn or a Hampton when we can't find a residence or embassy, I'm afraid we won't be back.
A lil disappointed that the breakfast isn’t included in the basic room rate. In addition, the room doors need to be fixed as they don’t close good. The rooms also have old TV’s. The pool was not open most of our stay. Towels not refreshed in fitness area and the equipment (especially the bike) needs serious maintenance)
The front desk lady had to shout at her partner in the back office to assist her with check-ins. While I understand that help is needed, yelling at someone in front of guests is unacceptable. Her partner eventually came out and checked me in without any interaction.
Feeling tired, I decided to take a nap in my room before heading to work a few minutes later. However, I was awakened by a staff member opening the door and entering my room. I believe they didn’t realize I was there initially, but when they saw me, they quickly exited. I tried to ignore the incident, but it happened again a few minutes later.
The next morning, I decided to grab breakfast since the hotel had advertised it extensively. At the breakfast bar, the lady asked for a voucher, which I found confusing since I assumed breakfast was included in my stay, as is common in many hotels. A friendly guest kindly explained the voucher concept to me. I then had to go to the front desk to pay for it, which I didn’t mind, but the staff member who had checked me in didn’t acknowledge or address the issue.
I’m not sure if I was having an off day or if the staff was having a rough time, but I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. If you plan to stay at this hotel, I recommend requesting a breakfast voucher in advance.
Holiday Inn, I hope you can improve your service and ensure a better experience for your guests.
Rooms have some new furniture, the air conditioning is very loud
The bathroom door , walls and bathtub were dirty and old.
Smell of weeds in the room at night.
You can heart the next room patrons voices
Do we come back? Probably not.
It's a full breakfast with everything any diet wants to start their day.
I will stay there again.
They serve breakfast only with eggs that come out of a carton. So we had to leave and find a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The room was fine. They need to update their marketing information. And. The bar looked like it's about to close down as well. There was not much stock.
