Booked a room for 1 night and I had a very long day. I just wanted to take a nice shower but 1 problem. The water was coming out brown. Yes you heard me correctly. The water was brown. When I went to tell the staff there was a younger looking black guy who was very rude and not helpful at all I told the young lady at the counter about the water and she instantly wanted to move me to another room and I appreciate that. However the guy who was working that night as well (09/05/2025) behind the counter was very dismissive. When I spoke about the problem he asked for pictures and then said “for all he know the water could be rainbow colored “ and just trying g to be a Smart butt instead of help me. He was completely unprofessional and needs more training. The young lady who was present at the time was very polite and professional and helped me immediately and I thank her for the help

Stayed here to help. My daughter move our grandson into his dorm to begin freshman year at Georgia. Southern, checked in on Friday in the early evening. Looked nice, ladies at front desk courteous and efficient, but , the wheels fell off from there.
The elevators were dirty. They didn't look as though they'd been vacuumed or wiped down since morning, and upon entering our room a strong undercurrent of smoke was present, we decided it wasn't worth our while to go back to the front desk complain and get another room, So we used our febreze and made the most of it. Very bland run-of-the-mill looking rooms. Nothing special, but clean. A few towels in the bathroom with thread bear and incapable of getting one dry at the sink or from the shower. The shower was clogged
,as the water gathered quickly around my ankles, even with water pressure that was extremely low and made it very difficult to get a good shower and feel comfortable. We let the folks at the front desk know first thing the next morning when we went out to eat, and the problem was taken care of when we came back along with the towels that we asked for. However, we were both awoken at 4:00 a.m. The sound of a pounding techno bass beat that lasted 30 minutes before we left the room going to other floors to locate the noise, to no avail. Returning to our room. Hoping wherever it was coming from had stopped it's issuance, to no avail.
We looked out into the parking lot thinking there might be a car out there that had lights on or people around it, and even tried looking towards the pool to see if there were people in that area, but couldn't make out anything. About an hour into this disaster, and both of us with headaches unable to go back to sleep, I called the front desk to ask if anyone else had made a complaint about the noise and I got a monotone disinterested,"No" as a reply, to which I asked. Did this attendant know if there was anyone in the pool, and I got the same disinterested almost a grunt, "No". Which told me it was no sense asking for help because the sound of the voice on the other end showed they could have cared less. By 5:45 the noise miraculously stopped, and my husband and I attempted another hour and a half of sleep, such as it was. We gathered up our things. Double-checked the room and left, noticing again that even in the early morning the inside of the elevator needed a good cleaning and the floor was dirty. However, the lobby looked great and the person on the desk was smiling. It's also a pity that at this particular holiday in there is no complimentary anything, water, coffee/ hot water, tea bags, or breakfast. You can get breakfast in a sit-down restaurant and pay for it. There wasn't even a place to purchase any water or snacks or sundries, And if there was I wasn't told anything about it at check-in. We try to stay in a Holiday Inn or a Hampton when we can't find a residence or embassy, I'm afraid we won't be back.

For starters Holiday Inn randomly canceled my room for no reason and I had to rebook. I understand pool maintenance, but its obvious this hot tub has been out of service for quite a while. Its hot. We chose this hotel for the pool. The pool is out of service. Fresh breakfast was no different than other hotels free breakfast, minus waffles. Breakfast was not bad, but nothing special. I would not pay for it. Room and overall hotel were warm and stuffy. Room was not hot, but not cold either. The location is good. Room was clean. TV was nothing special. Overall, I've come to expect more from Holiday Inn. In Hindsight, I'd have looked harder at the Holiday Inn Express Statesboro. Desk staff was nice though. Looked like breakfast staff only put out fresh food to make their to-go plates.

Front desk was very pleasant during the stay. Location is great.
A lil disappointed that the breakfast isn’t included in the basic room rate. In addition, the room doors need to be fixed as they don’t close good. The rooms also have old TV’s. The pool was not open most of our stay. Towels not refreshed in fitness area and the equipment (especially the bike) needs serious maintenance)

The service provided during my visit was truly excellent, exceeding all of my expectations. The front desk staff, in particular, were outstanding in their professionalism and attentiveness. They greeted me warmly upon arrival, responded promptly to all of my questions, and went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their friendly demeanor and helpful attitude made a significant positive impression, contributing greatly to the overall excellent quality of service I received throughout my time there.

If I could give this place a NEGATIVE 0 I would! So 1 from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor mold growing on walls next to the ac unit in the rooms. Ac leaks on the floor causing the carpet to be wet and the room has a musky smell. Sheets damp due to the moisture in the rooms. For this hotel to be just REMODELED they sure ain’t taking care of the place..

I don't know if this is a newer hotel, or if it's just recently been remodeled, but I will just say that everything was clean, fresh and well maintained. The real purpodse of this review is to call out the good service recovery that the front desk person, Gabby, demonstrated. The published check-in time is 3:00pm and we arrived at around 4:45pm after a four hour drive. Gabby had to tell us that our room was not yet ready, so we checked in and then left to go find some place to eat. When we came back about an hour and a half later, I told Gabby that we really could have used the down-time when we first arrived and were disappointed that our room had not been ready for us. I asked if it would be possible if she could comp our breakfast (x3) the next morning. Without a moment's hesitation she smiled and said, "Of course, I can do that!" I want to commend Gabby for showing what good customer service and service recovery looks like, and also the owner/operator of this property for giving their staff the discretion and latitude to take that kind of action on-the-spot. It so happens that we will be going back to Statesboro a couple of more times in the next month or two and we now know where we will be staying.

I strive to be kind and understanding, but my recent experience at the Holiday Inn was not my best. Due to work, I had to stay in town for just a night. Upon arrival, the hotel looked nice, but things quickly took a turn for the worse.

The front desk lady had to shout at her partner in the back office to assist her with check-ins. While I understand that help is needed, yelling at someone in front of guests is unacceptable. Her partner eventually came out and checked me in without any interaction.

Feeling tired, I decided to take a nap in my room before heading to work a few minutes later. However, I was awakened by a staff member opening the door and entering my room. I believe they didn’t realize I was there initially, but when they saw me, they quickly exited. I tried to ignore the incident, but it happened again a few minutes later.

The next morning, I decided to grab breakfast since the hotel had advertised it extensively. At the breakfast bar, the lady asked for a voucher, which I found confusing since I assumed breakfast was included in my stay, as is common in many hotels. A friendly guest kindly explained the voucher concept to me. I then had to go to the front desk to pay for it, which I didn’t mind, but the staff member who had checked me in didn’t acknowledge or address the issue.

I’m not sure if I was having an off day or if the staff was having a rough time, but I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. If you plan to stay at this hotel, I recommend requesting a breakfast voucher in advance.

Holiday Inn, I hope you can improve your service and ensure a better experience for your guests.

As an HI silver members, we expected better room conditions.
Rooms have some new furniture, the air conditioning is very loud
The bathroom door , walls and bathtub were dirty and old.
Smell of weeds in the room at night.
You can heart the next room patrons voices
Do we come back? Probably not.

This is a four star hotel. Everything is right about this location, from the front desk to the kitchen staff. They even have a bartender, although i don't drink any alcoholic beverages. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you don't want to eat at the hotel , there is a chilies twenty yards from the property. Walmart , fast food stores, and gas station all within five minutes. You will love this location. The only negative aspect was I had to buy breakfast. At the price they charge breakfast should be free.
It's a full breakfast with everything any diet wants to start their day.
I will stay there again.

We chose this property as the website indicated a FULL SERVICE RESTAURANT. Since we were traveling and wanted to stop have dinner and relax. Well, apparently, the restaurant closed years ago!! And in the elevator, there is a huge sign to enjoy the Nonexistent restaurant
They serve breakfast only with eggs that come out of a carton. So we had to leave and find a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The room was fine. They need to update their marketing information. And. The bar looked like it's about to close down as well. There was not much stock.
