Thank you Jill and Scott for a wonderful stay! We had 6 great nights/days and I recommend staying at this place if you are ever visiting Fairbanks. I really appreciated the time Jill and Scott spent with us over breakfast telling us about the history of Fairbanks and giving us tips about what to do and where to go for dinner. I loved hearing about the history of the house and looking at all the black and white photos from over 100 years ago. Thank you for making it one of the best vacations we've ever had!

Best B&B stay of my life! Being from fairbanks I wasn't even aware this gem was located not 3 blocks from where I once lived! The hospitality was exquisite (as was the food) the house itself is beyond beautiful and the history was so rich to experience I will never recommend anywhere else to stay in the Fairbanks North Star Bourogh!

We loved staying at this heritage house. Everything has been renovated carefully keeping its original construction and decor. The owner, Jill is an excellent hostess and the breakfast she cooks are great!! The room we stayed in was perfect for us but if you are tall and big, you may find the bed a too small. Otherwise, the experience staying here was wonderful.

We had an amazing time at the Heritage House. It was clean and so beautiful. Jill and Scott were wonderful and so helpful. Jill’s breakfast was delicious. I definitely recommend anyone staying in Fairbanks who doesn’t want to stay in a hotel and wants to be close to downtown this is the place to stay.

This review is 5 stars only because we had Margo. Margo is an employee, she doesn’t own this B&B and she may or may not be there when you book it, so I would say this is a review qualifier. Margo was amazing, cooked the best breakfasts, provided all the information we needed, offered to drive us around, she does above and beyond her job at this hotel. She even went to the store to buy us specific dishes for breakfast. Never had that before in any B&B.
This is a historic house, almost like a museum, where every room is decorated with antiques and where you can learn a lot about the history of Fairbanks and Alaska just from going from room to room. It is really fascinating. The decor is not modern, the bathrooms are old, but that’s the whole point. There is no TV anywhere in the house, but then again, there wasn’t a TV back in 1916 when this house was built. I would also say that the heating system is amazing.
The kitchen is part of the public space here, which is unusual for a B&B, and that’s because no one lives here. It’s fully stocked with snacks and drinks and everything you need. We got special treats for our stay in our room as well, which had a fully functioning kitchen for our own private stay.
The piano hasn’t been tuned since the Raegan administration, but did I say the house is full of antiques?
Location is perfect, 2 minutes walking distance from downtown Fairbanks. Parking is not an issue unless the place is packed in the summer, but we’re there in September.
The main issue of concern for you if you plan to book this house is who owns it and who works there. You should check out if it’s the same as it was back in the summer of 2023. If it is - it’s a great deal.
However, there is a major shortage of skilled labor in Fairbanks and so for example the rooms are not cleaned everyday, and if it gets any worse - not sure you’ll get freshly cooked breakfast either. (Margo is a friend of the owner, and not sure she’ll keep doing this next summer).
To summarize, this is a little overpriced, but it’s worth the money if the level of service is what it should be. We loved spending time in this house, we loved checking all the rooms (most were vacant since this was September) and we loved the food Margo cooked for us. We would stay there again if she was there when we came.

Fairbanks is a remote town, but you'd never know it if you stay in the surprisingly comprehensive hotel. This is a perfect respite from a hard day of touring or outdoor activity. It's the perfect place to warm your bones and get something good to eat. The rooms are rustic in tone, but have all the amenities you would expect of a 3-star lodging. Our bed was excellent, and the bathrooms are perfect for relaxing. The location very near the airport and directly on the Chena river (along the back) is perfect.

We received excellent customer service. The shuttle service is great. When our flight was delayed, we were still met at the airport in Fairbanks at 4:00 am. While staying there, we misplaced our camera. After leaving they found it. We were contacted and our camera was returned home! We highly recommend staying there. The food is very good also.

We loved our stay at Pikes Landing. The room was clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was close to the airport and most places are a quick drive from there. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant had really good food and drinks. There was a nice gift shop in the main foyer as well. The Aurora movie and outside area was nice as well. I'd highly recommend Pikes to anyone visiting Fairbanks.

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our Alaskan vacation than our stay at Piles Waterfront Lodge. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home—incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help.

The lodge offers a unique and charming mix of accommodations—from cozy hotel rooms and rustic cabins to a reindeer ranger station (yes, really!), with even more to come. Each space has its own character, blending comfort with authentic Alaskan vibes.

What truly sets this place apart is its rich sense of history. The grounds are filled with signs and displays sharing fascinating stories about the lodge, the local area, and the people who helped shape it. It felt like staying in a living museum—but with all the modern comforts.

Waking up to the breathtaking waterfront views, enjoying peaceful evenings by the lodge, and learning about the history made this an unforgettable experience. We’re already talking about coming back!

Highly recommend Piles Waterfront Lodge to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind, heartfelt Alaskan experience.

The resort type hotel is dressed up with large animal mounts, historical placards, and nice stylish touches in the room . It has a relaxed, homey feel. It is located right on the river and you can walk along the river. It has a small reindeer herd whose history is explained in placards. The breakfast area is very large like a ballroom, and there were many good quality food choices. The staff was attentive and helpful. Rooms were a bit crowded and not particularly well laid out for our luggage- but satisfactory for us.

FAQs about Fairbanks hotels with Jacuzzi in room

What is the price range for hotels with a hot tub in the room in Fairbanks?

In Fairbanks, Alaska, hotels or lodgings that offer in-room hot tubs—or at least private spa-style tubs—typically range from around $105 to $330 per night. On the lower end, budget or extended-stay options fall near $105–$120 per night. Mid-tier hotels, such as branded chains with more amenities, average between $200 and $250. For unique stays—like treehouses or upscale cabins with private hot tubs—prices can stretch up into the $330 range or higher. Rates vary significantly with season, availability, and special lodging types.

When is the best time to visit Fairbanks for a hotel stay with a hot tub in the room?

The ideal time to visit Fairbanks for a cozy hot tub stay is during the Northern Lights season, which spans from late August to mid‑April, with March often offering the clearest skies and greatest aurora visibility. This coincides with long nights perfect for relaxing soaks and aurora watching. Alternatively, summer months (June through August) feature mild temperatures, long daylight hours, and easier travel—though no northern lights. If you want both great weather and a chance at the aurora, visit in late August or early September, when you can enjoy outdoor comfort and emerging night skies.
