It’s worth the early wake-up call to be on the hotel terrace at dawn – you’ll be able to enjoy a sumptuous buffet-style breakfast with a view of dozens of colorful hot air balloons filling the air at sunrise.
Hotel Chalet al Foss – Vermiglio, Italy
Hotel Chalet al Foss is a unique five-star resort nestled in the Italian Alps, renowned for its luxury suites with private hot tubs and panoramic views of the surrounding Dolomites and the Presanella glacier. Some even have unique hanging beds, unlike anything you’ve ever seen. And, you can also look forward to exclusive experiences such as breakfasts with alpacas and private photoshoots in vintage tubs. Harvest Inn – St. Helena, Napa Valley, California
Want to enjoy a romantic escape or solo retreat where you can forget about the chaos of the “real world,” while surrounded by the vineyards of wine country without having to leave your furry best friend at home? The Harvest Inn is surrounded by grapevines in the charming town of St. Helena. The highlight is staying in a room with a private balcony that includes your own hot tub for relaxing with a view of Napa Valley’s famous vineyards. But it’s also one of the rare luxe properties where dogs are welcome, and your reservation even includes dog treats and toys, made at Fideaux, a local boutique.

Aura Retreat – Hella, Iceland
AURA Retreat is a one-of-a-kind. Located near the town of Hella along Iceland’s South Coast, just a 30-minute drive from iconic Seljalandsfoss waterfall, it hosts accommodation in glass houses that reflect the surrounding nature. The innovative exteriors seamlessly blend into the landscape, providing panoramic, unobstructed views of the surrounding Hekla volcano, mountains, and the aurora borealis, when it appears. It’s like bringing the scenery indoors, although you can also admire it all right from your own outdoor private hot tub.
Iso Syote Hotel – Finnish Lapland
The Iso Syote Hotel was voted Finland’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel, but you don’t have to ski to enjoy it. Situated in the heart of Finnish Lapland, an area known for its vast subarctic wilderness, this hilltop “safari” hotel provides a spa experience in a real-life winter wonderland. Lying adjacent to the Syote National Park, every room has a spectacular forest and valley view, with the chance to marvel at the Midnight Sun or the Northern Lights, but if you stay in the unique Bear Suite, you’ll have your own private Jacuzzi too. Palazzo Del Duca Hotel – Matera, Italy
Matera is Italy’s famous cave city, tucked among the cliffs in the southern Basilicata region. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is the oldest continuously inhabited settlement other than Petra in Jordan, with humans starting to settle here at least 9,000 years ago. It’s renowned for its unique cave-like homes and structures that were all carved from the limestone rock. Many of the caves have been converted into restaurants and upscale hotels with unique cave suites made even more luxurious with a Jacuzzi tucked among the original rock cave walls.

Don Q Inn, located in southwestern Wisconsin, hosts themed suites like the futuristic Space Odyssey and the ancient land of Caesar’s Court. No matter which you book, every Fantasy Suite comes with your own personal whirlpool spa in various sizes and styles. Some are quite large, as well as being unique to the theme.
