1. Explore the San Antonio Art Museum

A visit to SAMA is one of the best things to do in San Antonio for couples who are into art. Located in the downtown area and just a short walk from the RiverWalk, this cultural gem is built in an old brewery called the Lone Star.

While not much of the brewery remains, you can explore the museum’s galleries that house awesome collections of Native American, Spanish colonial, and Latin American art. An interesting fact is that the San Antonio Art Museum houses the largest Asian art collection in the region. While you and your partner are in the area, go for drinks/lunch at Tre Trattoria. Located just a stone’s throw from the museum, it is one of the most romantic Italian restaurants in the city. For breathtaking river views, get a table on their lovely terrace. Try the slow-roasted tomato caprese or go for the signature Italian sandwich.

3. Listen to Live Music at Jazz, TX

Couples in the mood for some groovy live Jazz performances in San Antonio should look no further than Jazz, TX. Situated right beneath a food hall, the speakeasy-style venue with a prohibition-style décor looks spectacular and provides an ideal setting for an unforgettable night of live Jazz music.

Tables don’t feel crammed, with plenty of space between parties. On the culinary side, both food and cocktails are impressive. Order the Jazz burger or try the crispy calamari. As for the cocktails, I recommend Hugo Spritz and Doc Collins. If you have to drive or prefer non-alcoholic drinks, go for their Vagabond mocktail (Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice, Honey, Cinnamon).
