This hotel is just perfect! The restaurant had absolutely delicious cuisine, and the service was fantastic. All the employees we have encountered have been just sweet as can be! It's a great location if attending the opera. We will be coming back again soon!

Have stayed at the Lancaster several times, and it is a beautiful boutique hotel with generally impeccable service that is hard to find these days! For this visit we stayed at the “producers suite” and it is a beautiful, large room. However we immediately noticed a very musty smell coming from the HVAC, almost gassy smelling. The maintenance crew did come right away, it did get a little better, but then came back for the remainder of our stay. Surprisingly no one really followed up with us, if we were ok. We made it work, but given the cost of staying in such a room, I expected better.

The service here is amazing. The staff is heavily focused on satisfaction and going above and beyond. The issues I had were regarding everything else ultimately feeling like the price of the room doesn’t match what I would hope to find. As others have mentioned, the room is dated. The bathroom shower pressure is minimal and the handle twirls around. The listing noted of a fridge but the only one was the one filled with complimentary snacks. It was so small that it could not accommodate leftovers or full size drinks. Essentially everything outside of the room including the breakfast was great. The room itself was disappointing. The noise level around the room was also difficult at night. I was hoping for something more.

Wonderful room. The restaurant is nice with a good bartender, although the menu is a bit limited. Coffee service and free snacks in the rooms are great. The front desk staff was oddly distanced and not very helpful or friendly. I was there for business but would stay again for leisure.

Rooms were clean, and nice but outdated. Better lighting and ventilation are needed in the bathrooms, and the temperature in the room was all over the place. The bed was super comfy, and the guest service is top tier. We didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant or at the bar, but the breakfast buffet in the mornings is pretty amazing. They have fresh honeycomb, coffee, juice, bread service, eggs, you name it, it was there. The location is perfect. We nearly walked everywhere we wanted to go! Overall I highly recommend checking this place out, it was a pleasant, quiet stay.

I came here for a 2 day meeting and all went well except the food at the meeting was terrible. The lunch was bland and tasteless. Dinner was included with the cost of meeting. We could bring a guest for $112, which I considered very expensive. I ended up skipping the dinner even though it had already been paid for because life is too short to eat terrible food.I have eaten at the Café near the pool previously and the food was solidly good. Reliable friends rave about Shearn's.

I just checked in today. I paid for a King Bed room with Mini frig way in advance as this is my Anniversary with my wife. I get here, check in and open the door it's 2 double beds. I go back to the lobby and tell the woman that's not what I reserved, that I paid for in advance for a King size bed. She looks it up and agreed and said ,let me look for a room with that. O we closed that part of the Hotel in the North Tower and no King bed's available. She said it's and upgrade, LOL When I booked the double beds were cheaper than the ! King bed rooms. I'll never come back to this place again, that's for sure. NOT AN UPGRADE AND DAMN SURE NOT WHAT I PAID FOR. The fire pit doesn't work and forget about a heated pool, it's not. If you enjoy a cold shower when it's 58 degrees outside then you'll love the shower as it doesn't barely even get warm. Cold shower on a cool day. I'll definitely never return to Moody Gardens Hotel. Terrible is I booked 2 nights

Hotel Review...We stayed here for two nights before getting on a cruise ship. The staff were very friendly and talked us into a suite. That night, there was a large party in the suite across from ours. So large it flowed into the hallway. When I called to complain, I was told it was booked as a party and the hotel knew about it. So, they allow a party in a suite next to other suites with guests trying to get sleep? The compensation offered was a late check out, really? The next night, there was another party down the hall that went much later than the first. Didn't even call for this one.I do not write many bad reviews, you can read my other reviews and see that, but...IIF YOU WANT TO RELAX AND HAVE A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

For new years I stayed at the moody gardens hotel. The inside was decorated for Christmas and was absolutely gorgeous. The lady working the front desk didn't seem too knowledgeable about what she was doing. The security guard was very nice. They offer room service pretty late, going all the way until 2:30am some times. The room are spacious and very nice. I wish they would update the A/C units though. They do give you complimentary robes. If you want to impress someone stay here and then go to moody gardens when you can. Rating 9.3/10

Average hotel on a beautiful property. Lots of gardens to walk through that were very pretty. Front desk staff was friendly at check in. She explained a little about the amenities and pointed out where the elevators were. Our room left much to be desired for the price, however. It reeked of cigarette smoke even though signs in the hallway said it was a nonsmoking floor. We got very congested at night from the smoke smell. The furniture was worn and chipped. The bathroom door needed to be repainted. And neither drain worked well in the bathroom-tub nor sink. We had a drink and an appetizer in the lobby bar-the drinks were good and the server friendly but the appetizer order of nachos was ice cold. Had to send back and the next one that came out was barely warm. All in all there are better places to stay in Galveston for the price you pay here.
