We enjoyed two nights in the honeymoon suite. The house is beautiful and charming. The location is peaceful and relaxing. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We would stay again and have no hesitation recommending this to our family and friends.
Probably the best bed and breakfast we've ever stayed at BJ was a great owner and Sharon's breakfast was awesome. Honeymoon suite clean and roomy with whirlpool bath. Lots of nature ,birds deer and more with Logan lake out the front door.
Beautiful and peaceful setting. We checked in after a hike in Hocking Hills and it was so nice at the B&B, we canceled our Next hike to further enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Manner overlooking Lake Logan. We saw deer, an eagle, and other water fowl. We then ordered Pizza-crossing at suggestion of the owner and had a fire pit and a great evening. The next morning they served us a wonderful breakfast and we heard interesting stories from the owner. We would come again.
Truly a gem, tucked away in an unexpected place. The Hocking Hills area is steadily growing in popularity, and there is not a lack of options. But, A Georgian Manor sticks out as it is unique and is quite personable location for either a wedding or as a B&B.Each room is in the manor has a theme, true to the era of the original house. Between the five bedrooms, two dining rooms or Civil War lounge room, there is not a lack of enjoyable settings to spend your time indoors. It is almost as if you are staying in a museum.Outside the house, it feels isolated while still being 10 minutes away from anything in Logan. Sitting right on Lake Logan, there is a variety of fishing, swimming, boating and dining options within a quick walk or drive. My wife and I took out the canoe and spent most of our time following a bald eagle that was hunting on the edge of the lake.The owner, BJ, truly loves what he does. Having bought the place as a flip and spending over 7 years getting this place ready for visitors, he takes pride in sharing his work with each person. He made sure he was there when we arrived. He spent maybe 10 minutes showing us the ropes, then he left to allow us to enjoy a relaxing environment.Being my first B&B, A Georgian Manor set the bar pretty high for my expectations with future locations.
It seems pretty out of the way, but what an exquisite manor!!! Beautiful spot on the lake complete with covered porches, a large covered outdoor area, and all the peace and quiet you could ask for! We had a lovely wedding there, and it was perfect for the couple! Cell reception is good for Verizon too!!! The honeymoon suite is absolutely enormous and has all the luxury you could ever want! Definitely recommended!!!
Unique and clean place to stay. Would recommend for a quick getaway. The breakfast was good and the beer and cheddar soup is great. There is a nice hiking trail around the property that was about a mile.
We’ve been here three times and sadly this may be the last. I discovered this place in 2018 and thought it was a magical getaway. Sadly to say 2024 the magic was gone. The staff made us feel completely unwelcome by making us feel like an inconvenience because we were the few people onsite that they unfortunately had to accommodate to. I will say tho, that the only friendly face was the older woman that served breakfast in the morning, she was very sweet and accommodating.
I have gone to Ravenwood 4 times and each time I love it even more. They are super accommodating and always respond to our requests with no issue. I truly appreciate how responsive and kind the staff are whenever we talk with them. It feels like I’m coming back home each time. All the rooms are different, which is a great excuse to come back and experience a different room!They have so many games to choose from to play and there’s plenty of space to play the games.Keep an eye out for their special events, they are so much fun and just add an extra element to an amazing experience.All of it is amazing, but honestly I would come back just for the butter beer alone. They even make their own butterscotch!! Truly unique and can’t find a better match anywhere else.Important notes -Castle doesn’t have any elevators so be prepared for stairs.Rooms in the castle don’t have any sort of fridge/microwave but the cabins and village do. (It says on the website which rooms have what amenities)WiFi and cell service is limited to none. I could get calls in some areas, but it’s not guaranteed.I’ll definitely be back soon!
Just returned home from a wedding weekend at Ravenwood. It was truly spectacular. Beautiful location, terrific accommodations, and tasty food. They deserved all 5 stars. Except for the staff, they should have 10! They were so helpful and made this stay amazing. Thank you to the unsung heros of the weekend. I will come back just to see you again. PS whatever you are paying them it's not enough. You have some world class staff working there.
We got married here (I haven’t seen many reviews for this) and it went really well! The castle is beautiful, particularly in summer, and the whole family had fun. There’s bound to be some miscommunication from plans to castle staff, but they were super helpful. We asked for an extension cord because we forgot one and they gave one to us within a few minutes! They worked well with our caterer and were super sweet when we had way too many leftovers. Plus, everyone occupied themselves with the scavenger hunts and hiking nearby. Honestly it was super fun and I really appreciate them. And there’s cats, which makes everything better. We’ll be back to finish the scavenger hunts!
