A very cool boutique hotel in a great location for our trip. Lots of wonderful spaces to hang out and socialize. Of course that was our one issue in that the location of our room was quite loud at night with people hanging out by the fire pits, so our plans for early to bed were a little tough. Can't blame folks for having a good time, but I'd make sure you ask for a room away from the fire pits if you need to get to bed early.

The staff at the Lone Star Hotel was amazing to me. From the moment you check in, you'll be greeted with a friendly hello and a nice cold beer or water if you’re up for it.Brought my two dogs and was so happy this hotel is pet friendly. This is a great option for families or travelers who want to bring their furry friends along for the ride. I forgot their water bowl but the front desk was kind enough to not only let me borrow one but to also give me free breakfast since elevator was under maintenance.I enjoyed the live music at the bar, they open the garage so I was able to bring my dogs out again and had dinner by the pool while listening to good music. The location is perfect, they have food vendors right behind the hotel or your can always walk anywhere to The Domain since is so close by.Love the ambiance this Hotel has, a nice rustic decoration that will definitely make you feel you’re out there in the country.Everywhere I walked was very clean, they have an artificial turf section where you can play with your kids or outdoor games, you can even start your own fire pit at night.Overall, this is my first 5 out 5 star review I have ever given a hotel. Thank you everyone at The Lone Star Hotel for being so kind, I will definitely comeback for another hiking trip to Austin next month and pay you guys another visit! You’re the best!

Our stay at Lone Star Court was fabulous! It has an old-time camping feel with luxury amenities, and although close to a TON of shops and restaurants, had everything we needed on site. We ate at the Water Trough restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and the room came stocked with a HUGE assortment of beverages and snacks (for a fee). We spent a lot of time at the pool and the property is very dog-friendly. Overall we had a great time and are already looking towards our next trip to Austin. Highly recommend!

Cool concept. Great location near the Domain. We stayed here after 3 days at the Valencia Riverwalk in San Antonio. Our SA experience was incredible so we had high expectations. We visited on a weekday for two nights and found the service to be very absent and when we did see them they seemed annoyed we were there. The room was spacious and bathroom was perfect for a family. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There were no events during our stay - the whole property had a hangover vibe so maybe it’s better to visit during the weekend when there is live music and the food trucks are open. At the price point I expected much more

We just checked out after a two day stay. It was perfect. The location was great as we were able to walk to the shopping and all eating. The staff was very friendly and helpful with everything we needed from needing an iron to check out. The pool was great escape from the Texas heat, and the nighttime areas were enjoyable to listen to the live music and sit in small areas to visit with friends. Hotel was very dog friendly. (Our only suggestion would be to provide shade umbrellas in the pool area because it there was very little shade.) We will definitely return to stay here again.

I cannot get over how incredible my stay was at the Hotel ZaZa! The hotel is perfectly located downtown, close to restaurants, shops, and bars. The hotel is gorgeous inside with friendly staff, fabulous amenities, and comfortable rooms. From start the finish, my stay was seamless - the staff make sure every moment is special (fruit punch in the lobby, cold waters out by the pool, and coffee served every morning on every floor). I will exclusively be staying here whenever I am Austin moving forward.

We loved this hotel. It's comfortable, and visually beautiful. The staff are nice, and personable. The room was comfortable, dark, cool, just perfect. The location is perfect for the Moody theater, but if you're headed somewhere else the hotel has an SUV they will shuttle you in. Overall, great place, we'll be back.

This hotel deserves more than 5 stars. The hotel overall wall stay was amazing. Room are nice and cold, comfortable, and so clean. Oscar at the front desk was amazing with his personality and his customer service was impeccable. Max the bell boy was so awesome. Took care of our luggage with such care. He also gave us some great recommendations. By far the best hotel in Austin.

We knew booking Hotel ZaZa Austin would be a great hotel stay. What surprised us, given our post-pandemic hospitality industry experiences, was the level of service delivered. It is truly 5-Star! Beginning with the valet staff greeting us and introducing themselves while opening the front door, everyone was incredibly attentive, professional, and friendly, making sure our weekend stay was the best ever. Mission accomplished!!!The pool scene is not to be missed. Great views, food, drinks, and people watching. Special shout out to Melissa for managing her staff and being attentive to each guest – no small task in the heat of the day, literally! In summary, great hotel, great location, competitive price, and out-of-this-world service! Can’t wait to get back there.

FAQs about Austin boutique hotels

What is the typical price range for boutique hotels in Austin?

Boutique hotel prices in Austin can vary based on factors like location, season, and hotel amenities. On average, you can expect to pay between $150 and $350 per night. Prices tend to be higher during peak tourist seasons and lower during the quieter months. Keep in mind that some boutique hotels offer package deals, so it’s a good idea to explore those options for added value.

When is the best time to visit Austin for affordable boutique hotel rates?

To secure more affordable rates, consider visiting Austin during the shoulder seasons, which are typically spring (March to May) and fall (September to November). During these times, the weather is pleasant, and hotel prices are often lower than in the busy summer and festival-packed spring. Additionally, booking your stay mid-week instead of on weekends can lead to cost savings.

Are there cost-effective boutique hotel options in Austin without sacrificing quality?

Yes, Austin offers a variety of boutique hotels that provide a great balance between affordability and quality. You can find charming and comfortable boutique accommodations slightly outside the city center at more budget-friendly rates. Also, keep an eye out for limited-time promotions, special deals, and loyalty programs offered by boutique hotels that can help you enjoy a unique experience without breaking the bank.
