Frank was awful! I booked for a King size bed. My room that was $253 in Albany,GA and the carpet was super soppy wet. I needed shoes on to walk on the carpet while the water swished out. He moved me to another room that was a double. No sir I reserved for a King. He stated this is all he had however I reserved for a king. He stated I could receive a discount or get my money back. Sir you are really making it about the Hilton and not me. $253 for one night and I can’t have what I reserved for, this is sooo not acceptable. Getting my money back is not a solution and stop with allllll those apologies. I need and deserve a bigger discount for my time and money. I booked for a king and not a double. This is NOT what my card paid for!
The guy at the desk gave my room to my sister who had the same last name. He told me when I came up that I was already checked in. I thought it was strange because I knew I wasn't. I thought things just had change. Then I ended up walking in on my sister. This could have went bad. I went back to the desk and he tried to lie and said my sister said she was me. I told him, no you just made a mistake after he showed me my checked sheet with her name signed to it. She had booked her own room. After that he left me and checked someone else in who he knew by name? I went off after he disrespected me. The Mgr came out and took care of me. But at checkout the rooms were still mixed up. I am hoping I don't have to file a dispute just in case they try to charge me again. I went through priceline. They treat you different. No breakfast also unless you pay for it. Much as I paid , I won't be back.
Stayed here for a graduation due to location and convenience. Room was clean and had sufficient amount of space for four people. Breakfast was included with our stay, and that’s the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars.
While our room had breakfast included, we were not aware there were two type of breakfasts offered. The included breakfast was the “continental” variety of pastries and cereal. The other option was the restaurant variety. While not a big complaint, better differentiation would be better for others to make better decisions.
Outside of that, I would stay here again should need, and price, call for it.
Awesome stay!! My wife and I just had to speak on the EXCELLENT customer service that was provided. We had the pleasure of meeting Francisco at the front desk. He is definitely an Awesome individual. I hope that he really receives the recognition he truly deserves. He had the greatest attitude from the start. He was knowledgeable, courteous, respectful and patient. He also helped me with understanding the area and provided me with information about where I could find certain items that I had trouble finding. The hotel was definitely awesome but when you receive great customer service, you definitely look foward to another stay. We wanted to thank you Fransico for your great customer service!!! Please keep up the great work. Thank you Hilton!
Stayed for work, the front desk attendant was so friendly! The room was very dated and needs work. The room smelled moldy, the shower drain was damaged the faucet almost cut my finger because it was damaged. The bed was soft, the breakfast was ok.
I travel a lot and stay in Hampton Inns and Hilton hotels quite frequently. This hotel should not have a Hilton label. It is really quite gross. The room was not clean, carpet was wet, there were ants on the night stand, snot stuck on the walls, and the bathroom was disgusting. The bathroom walls were dirty and the toilet seat was painted to avoid replacement. Unfortunately, there are not many options in Americus.
We have booked two nights and are currently on our second. Our hotel hallway and room has very dirty carpet. There are orange splatter stains on the wall near the sink. The toilet was dirty when we arrived. It had a dirty ring and looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. The bedding was clean so that was a relief. The woman at the front desk was kind and welcoming too. We are only here for two nights and are not spending much time in the room.
Had to stay one night in Americus and this was the recommended hotel. Start off by this is an older hotel and yes, it needs some fixing up. The elevator was down and the toilet in my room was not attached well to the floor, but beyond that, the room was clean and spacious, the sofa was actually comfortable and the AC cooled the room great. The young man at the front desk was very nice and even offered take my suitcase upstairs since we had to use the stairs. While not perfect I would stay here again.
I would like to share a recent experience at the Hampton Inn for the purpose of highlighting an important issue.
My family and I were in town for a funeral. Initially, we planned to stay for just one night—arriving on Friday and checking out on Saturday. However, after spending additional time with family on Friday night, we decided to extend our stay by one more night. When I went to the front desk on the morning of our checkout, I requested an extension for an additional night. The staff member checked the system and informed me that there was a room available. He authorized the additional night on my credit card, and I handed him the key card.
Later that day, after returning from the funeral around 5-6 pm, we found that our room key was no longer working. Noticing a do-not-disturb sign on the door, my wife mentioned she didn’t recall leaving it there, but we weren’t certain. We approached the front desk to report the issue. The attendant explained that there were technical difficulties and that it was not a major concern. When we provided our room number, she looked surprised and then explained that a system glitch from the previous shift had caused overbooking. She apologized and informed us that our belongings had been moved to the back office without our consent.
To our dismay, we learned that hotel staff had gone into our room and removed our personal belongings while we were attending the funeral. Our things had not been packed or stored away intentionally; they were left as usual, including toiletries and clothing, and there was no prior notification or communication. The staff stated they had attempted to contact us but confirmed there were no missed calls or voicemails.
I waited over an hour for management to address the situation, but I was informed that the owners were at the airport and would not be available until Monday. The attendant expressed regret and apologized repeatedly, but I found the handling of the situation to be quite disrespectful and unprofessional.
Ultimately, I was charged for the one night I actually stayed. I hope sharing this experience encourages improved communication and guest respect in the future
