Where exactly is the jacuzzi in Dodge City hotels?
We analyzed 3 Dodge City hotels with in-room jacuzzis and mapped where the tub is located, the average nightly rate, and which hotel leads each category.
The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were Kept clean. The location of the hotel is on the main strip so for light sleepers, sleep/rest may be a challenge. A bit pricey, but overall a good stay.
Excellent customer service! Our group requested luggage handling. Even Brock the GM assisted his team with the luggage. Very clean and beds are very comfortable. Can’t wait for the new location to open next year Brock!
I would recommend this Wonderful hotel to anyone!!! We have been traveling for over 2 weeks and this is by far the Best!!! We had room 110! I would stay in that room longer if we could, it had a really nice sitting area as well as a big bathroom with a nice tub to relax in after a long day on the road. My husband loved that you could park right out front so made it so easy to bring in our bags. The breakfast was wonderful!! The only bad side is we have to leave this morning. It is a little more money but well worth it!!!
Started off with pretty good check in service. Room even look pretty good but I had a feeling about all the trees that over hung the balconies but I said you are over thinking it. Nope. Laying across the bed shirtless I rolled over and killed a recluse spider with my body. That was very unsettling. I was on the phone with my wife she said send her a picture and she told me what kind of spider it was. There system's were down for the night and couldn't refund or cancel on the spot and offered an upgrade. I left but 3 hotels close by were 100% capacity so I had to go back. Took the upgraded room and thoroughly checked the bed. Literally lifting it up to check everywhere in and around it. Seemed clear but there were other issues. Bugs on the ceiling. I didn't sleep a wink that night. Thinking about if I had been bitten by that spider and then thinking about bugs on me. I also didn't like that the curtain for the windows wasn't wide enough to cover the whole window. It was either in the middle or covering up 1 side and exposing the other. Weird set up. Got up the next morning and left immediately. I would not return. I think the overall hotel seemed clean but the trees but you at a disadvantage with bugs having direct access to enter rooms.
Beautiful decor , service is excellent. Room was cleanest I’ve ever experienced and I have been to the competitors. Best Western wins hands down! Breakfast was massive and lots of healthy options too. Only missing was gluten free bread or muffin, that would have been great. We had a relaxing comfortable room and great start to he next days travel. Highly recommend!
The bed and chair I read my book in was comfortable. The seal on the balcony door, that I didn't want, but the nice lady at the front desk needed my room for another guest, didn't seal. There was a large gap of light under the door, so all the sound from outside came in. And since I was facing Wyatt Earp Drive, I had to listen to all the noise of idiots driving like children. I didn't get a good nights sleep. Bed was comfortable, but it was too noisy. My only other complaint is that I'm 6' 4" and the shower only came up to my chest, but that's just me whining.
Hotel location is right on highway 50 next to a very large train depot. The train yard operates 24/7 with no regard to "quite hours" in the city ordinance. There are many semi trucks running cattle to and from the major feed lots all along hwy50 right though town. Add to this the train whistle that sounds like it's right in your room and the hot rods racing down the roads and your sleep will be broken and sporadic. Lastly (but not really lastly) the AC in our room (206) did not work so it was stuffy and noisy. The drone of the AC might have helped with the street/train noise. I do want to say the staff was friendly and the hotel very clean. Breakfast was average fare for this range of hotels and other than a few drunk dudes the location seems safe. Perhaps staying on non street side of hotel with a working AC would help with overall experience. Still, it'll be hard to ignore that train whistle blast!
The atmosphere and rooms are the best things about this hotel. Service had no manners, especially the breakfast lady... but I loved the coffee and cappuccino machine in the lobby.
One very nosey staff, very Gossipy, force her service on you even after you tell her you are ok. She will follow you and stare you down, Older white haired lady. All other staff were very professional.
Kids had the pool to themselves, the room was clean, staff members were super nice and went above and beyond to accommodate us! IHOP and a gas station are just a few feet away for late night food and snacks, and the complimentary breakfast had a nice selection of hot and cold foods. Staycation Hotel Birthday Party mission accomplished!!
This is a really nice place! Bed was a bit soft for my taste, but the room was nice, very clean, and the people were great. There is even a small bar in the lobby. Breakfast was outstanding! Will definitely stay there again.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Man did they go above and beyond in the appearance and decor of this hotel. The rooms were quiet and very spacious.
The breakfast buffet was OK, nothing to write home about.
Can't say enough good things. 5 star in every aspect. Sue is AWESOME! She checked us in at 1 AM and walked us back to our room. Decorated great for Christmas. EXCEPTIONALLY clean rooms. Hot hot shower. Superb breakfast and coffee. This is the only place we will stay in Dodge City. So good they should be in best western commercials.
The staff was friendly, and the rooms were nice, but our experience here was rough. The lobby was very clearly in the midst of renovations, which was fine, but my mother in law and husband got stuck on the elevator while bringing our luggage up and had to take the stairs, our key card didn’t work to unlock the door from the back parking lot, and the pool was horrendous. From somebody having left stale, old food right on the pool deck, to no clean towels. The pool water was ice cold and we were unable to swim in it, while the ‘hot tub’ was lukewarm and smelled like sewage. This was a major point of booking here, so I was very disappointed.
The only reason it’s getting two stars was because of the kind staff, and the breakfast service was incredible! Otherwise it would need a lot of work to turn my review around.
Unfortunately not a pleasant experience in Dodge City. Pool and spa area was disgusting and filthy. The second room we rented smelt like sewer. The breakfast was terrible, the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. The gravy was runny and tasteless. The biscuits were raw. The staff member at the front desk was ambivalent when I brought the pool issues up, telling me she's sorry and she'll make sure someone knows about it. I asked if she was the one in charge, and she acknowledged she was. I told her I'd be ashamed presenting the pool in that condition. I have pictures to show. She didn't seem to care. Also no pool towels in the pool area, so we had to walk out to the lobby dripping wet to request them. The price point is what really did the whole experience in for me, $135 plus each room a night for what was offered is completely out of line. There is really nothing good I can say about our stay other than the king room we rented was clean. The front foyer on the front entrance was being inhabited by a large flock of pigeons that were defecating all around the entrance to the front door to the lobby. The whole place just came across as low budget and neglected.
Newly renovated property, that is still having work done. The rooms are very nicely done, mine had 2 large TV's and was nicely furnished. My only complaint is the AC system is inadequate for the size of the room. Personally, I like the temperature to be around 65 at night. The unit did not go below 66 and wouldn't stay running for more than a few minutes at a time. Marisol at the desk was fantastic and made the check in process enjoyable. So other than sweating while in bed, it was a good stay.
Your staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Our room was Very clean, fresh smelling & welcoming. We had such an awful time last spring trying to use my Wyndham Rewards card and Not locating Clean, Safe Wyndham hotels, I Never thought I could use it again! But the Great Staff in ( Janette & her co- workers, I’m Sorry I didn’t get more names) @ Columbus, Nebraska & Dodge City, Kansas ( I was too tired to catch staff names, but I do remember faces & Great Cooks) were Super. We will be back to both of them & keep searching for more Wyndham hotels on our travels to & from Minnesota & Arizona. Why in Oct.- November or December, & again April -May do you not offer more points for “One night Senior Stays” as we travel? We plan to return again next spring when we return to Minnesota! Thank you for the great improvements in both the hotels & staff! Sincerely Cosy Watschke & LuVerne Meyer , Longville, MN & Casa Grande, AZ
I stayed for two nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The location is also a big plus—right near most of Dodge City's main attractions, which made exploring super convenient.
I didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t speak to that part of the stay.
However, I was disappointed to find that both the pool and hot tub were out of service. They’re still listed as amenities on the website, so it was a letdown to come back after a long day and not have access to those features. I understand the property is undergoing renovations, but a heads-up or temporary update online would have helped set expectations.
That said, the hospitality and comfort were solid, and I’d consider staying again once the renovations are complete.
