Amazing Adirondack hotel.
The lobby itself is even beautiful.
Our room was spacious and had a great view !
The spa was incredible and the location is amazing with just a short walk Into town.
We cut up some cheese and fruit and took a bottle of wine and sat out on the Adirondack chairs that they have on the dock.
We stayed until the sun set and then were treated to a beautiful meteor shower.
To this day we still say that was one of the most amazing nights.
The inn is definitely pricey but you get what you pay for, it's a beautiful place and you will have a great time !

The staff at this hotel are very polite and attentive. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms are generally clean, and the bathrooms are new. The pool and spa areas looked quite hygienic. Perhaps if they replaced the carpets in the corridors and rooms, this hotel could become truly perfect. Thank you for everything. We will definitely come back.

One of the best hotels 🧡 I would love to come back for sure. It's old-fashioned (of course, this inn has a long history) - feeling like I am inside of the Christmas old movie! Sparkling clean, and everything was on another level. I can definitely see how this inn could be one of the prestigious "small luxury hotels."

Very nice hotel, very Adirondack style (may seem dated a bit but suits the local). We had a room in the Mountain View building overlooking the lake, good privacy. Nice little sitting area. Good water pressure and nice hot water! Breakfast buffet on weekend was a bit of a zoo (try and avoid between 830-930), much more calm ala cart on weekdays. Had dinner at the View Restaurant, which was nice if a bit expensive but I think good for area. Staff very courteous and helpful. The library on the main floor very comfortable with nice fireplace. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Lake Placid

We had a wonderful stay at the Mirror Lake Inn. The service was excellent from start to finish—every staff member was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our room was cozy, clean, and incredibly comfortable, creating the perfect spot to relax after a long day. And the views… absolutely outstanding. Waking up to the lake and mountains felt magical.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a beautiful escape.

We had such an amazing experience at Whiteface Lodge! It was gorgeously decorated for Christmas and all of the amenities made the stay enjoyable. We had the opportunity to go snowshoeing and that was certainly a unique experience. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating!

We stayed at the Whiteface Lodge for two nights in October for our wedding, and it was an amazing experience. The staff was so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived. Our suite was the perfect place to get ready with family the morning of the wedding. It was spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated for fall. After an offsite ceremony, we hosted our wedding dinner in a semi-private dining space at KANU, and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, and the team was fantastic to work with. I highly recommend the Whiteface Lodge for a wedding day or any special occasion.

My family and I recently stayed in Sep ‘25 at this hotel, and while there were aspects we enjoyed—such as the pleasant atmosphere and thoughtful amenities—there were also several issues that affected our stay.

When we checked into our room, we found some cleanliness concerns: dirty clothes in the laundry basket, hair on the bathroom floor, and an unclean commode tank lid. The rest of the room was comfortable, but these details were disappointing to encounter. I shared this feedback with the front desk during our stay, but unfortunately never received any follow-up.

We also had trouble with the room service options. We were given pamphlets for the two hotel restaurants and told we could place room service orders by phone. We called twice—once during the day and again around 8 p.m. (well before the 9 p.m. closing time)—and left voicemails both times. No one ever returned our calls, which was especially frustrating since we were relying on the hotel’s advertised room services.

On a more personal note, as a visibly Muslim couple, I couldn’t help but wonder whether the lack of responsiveness we experienced might have been influenced, even unintentionally, by how we look. I truly hope that wasn’t the case, but the contrast between the hotel’s otherwise welcoming environment and our experience left me feeling uneasy. Just sharing how the situation felt and hoping it encourages awareness and consistency in guest service.

I hope management takes these concerns seriously to ensure all guests feel equally valued and properly attended to.

We had our wedding at WFL in October 2025, and it was an absolute dream come true. We had our ceremony at the Canoe Club and the reception at the Clubhouse, and we stayed in the Clubhouse Thursday-Monday. Everyone at WFL was so lovely, helpful, and professional every step of the way. Our guests raved about the delicious food (esp the steak!) & drink, spectacular views, and wonderful staff. Extra special shout out to Michael, Maris, and Mary Catherine — they are truly the best!! We are SO thankful we booked our wedding there and would do it 1000 times over. Can’t wait to go back for our anniversary!!

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions — Lake Placid

What is the best time to visit Lake Placid for hotels with a Jacuzzi in room?

The best time depends on what kind of trip you want. Winter, from December to March, is the most popular season thanks to snow-covered mountains and activities like skiing at Whiteface Mountain. This is when Jacuzzi in-room stays feel most rewarding after a cold day outdoors. Fall is another strong option, especially September through October, when foliage draws visitors but crowds are smaller. Summer offers hiking, lake activities, and warmer weather, though Jacuzzi use becomes more about relaxation than contrast. Spring tends to be quieter and more affordable, making it ideal if you want fewer crowds and better hotel availability.

What price range should you expect for Lake Placid hotels with a Jacuzzi in room?

Prices vary widely depending on season, hotel type, and location near Mirror Lake or downtown Lake Placid. On average, standard hotels with a Jacuzzi in room start around $150 to $220 per night during off-peak months. In peak winter ski season or fall foliage weekends, rates typically rise to $250–$400 per night, especially for lakefront or boutique properties. Luxury resorts can exceed $500 per night when demand is high. Weekdays are usually cheaper than weekends, and booking a few weeks in advance helps secure better rates. Shoulder seasons like early spring and late fall often provide the best balance of price and availability.

Why should you visit Lake Placid for a Jacuzzi in room stay?

Lake Placid stands out because it combines outdoor adventure with a compact, walkable village atmosphere. After hiking, skiing, or exploring Olympic sites like the Lake Placid Olympic Center, having a private Jacuzzi in your room adds a practical recovery element, not just a luxury perk. Many hotels are positioned near Mirror Lake, so you get scenic views along with privacy. The destination works year-round, offering snow sports in winter and lakeside relaxation in summer. Compared to larger resort areas, Lake Placid feels more intimate, making in-room Jacuzzi stays especially appealing for couples.
