The location was beautiful and the service was equally excellent. The facility needs a bit of updating color but that is easy to overlook because of the outstanding service provided. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great relaxing get away. I'm most impressed by how my food allergy was accommodated. Breakfast was delicious and the company friendly and engaging.

The ambiance was warm, cozy and conducive to total rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. Randy, the Innkeeper, was extremely accommodating and prepared our meals with total tender, loving care. It was as if her heart was committed to her efforts being labors of love and not merely good customer service.
I am looking forward to experiencing each of the themed rooms and eventually, all of the other properties.

Went there for a birthday gathering. Nice place, but definitely a bit outdated. Guess you would call it old world charm, but I prefer more modern accommodations. I just love that it's located in beautiful Brooklyn and black owned.

Lovely restored home in great location convenient to subway, just a 5 minute walk. Great restaurants also in walking distance. The innkeeper, Randy, was charming and helpful. I was there several days and breakfast was superb every day. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable on my first trip to Brooklyn. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We had a fabulous time at Akwaaba Mansion! The location was perfect for us, but even if you are not visiting people in the neighborhood, it's a beautiful area with excellent restaurants, and the inn is a short walk from the subway into Manhattan. The room was lovely and beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, the large bathroom and tub luxurious, the common areas welcoming. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere was homey -- our fellow guests were so friendly and interesting that we spent way too long at breakfast each day! Most of all, the innkeeper, Randy, was warm, gracious, and helpful -- she felt like a friend right off the bat. My only hesitation in recommending the place so highly is that it will become impossible to get reservations when we want them!

The hotel room itself was very clean and tidy. The balcony view was undesirable, showcasing another brick building in front of us and a back alley with loading docks. Had I known this I would not have booked the balcony room.

The front desk staff hospitality was somewhat inconsistent, sometimes we were greeted friendly and politely, and other times we were not acknowledged when coming and going. Also, room service staff did not clean and tidy the rooms daily.

Lastly, hotel staff entered my room without notice and without consent. They quickly realized they had made a mistake entering, noticed I was undressed, and promptly left the room. I called the front desk to address the issue and it was made out to be no big deal. This was a violation of privacy, and they claimed that they were there to "fix the TVs", when our TV was already working. There was no courtesy call to let me know they were coming and did not knock on my door before entering. I feel it was unacceptable that they entered the room without consent and violated my privacy. I addressed this with the hotel manager and they offered a 20% off coupon and late checkout as an apology. My right to privacy is worth more than 20% off and late checkout for a place I wouldn't feel comfortable staying in again.

Overall, this hotel is fair, far from 4 stars. Likely would look around the area before booking here, the stay was disappointing to say the least. All they have going for them is that the rooms are clean upon arrival.

1) We first got the hotel having booked a queen room and they told us on site they only had twin rooms. We paid 25$ to upgrade to a king room which was two twin beds pushed together.
2) Our first room had a leaking air conditioner so the carpet was wet and grew mold. Upon us wanting to leave the hotel altogether, they insisted they could provide better service.
3) We found bed bugs in our bed and were bitten by these bugs, we have photos evidence of everything.
Horrible staff, we told them about the bugs and they said they couldn’t do anything. The pictures on the website are a lie, it is a very run down and dirty hotel with minimal staff.

Rooms we're clean, cool, and the air quality was great. I work pest control so every hotel room I stay in gets a professional search. Proud to say I found no insects or rodent evidence. Staff is friendly and hospitable

A Terrible Experience – Please Think Twice Before Booking Here

I never imagined that our family trip could turn into such a distressing and frustrating ordeal. After traveling a long distance with our little ones, we arrived at the hotel only to be turned away at the door. Even though we had a confirmed reservation and had already paid in full, they refused to let us check in, and they offered no real explanation. It was shocking to see how dismissive they were, even after my husband tried to show them our confirmation and booking details.

Feeling helpless and with two exhausted kids, we were left with no choice but to accept their offer to stay at a different hotel—the Brooklyn Hotel. Unfortunately, this turned out to be an even worse experience. They put us in a basement room that was unclean, with only one queen bed, despite our booking for two beds. When we requested a crib for our baby, they simply said they didn’t have one available and didn’t seem concerned at all about our situation.

This entire experience left me feeling deeply disappointed and upset. As a mother, I felt our needs and comfort were completely disregarded. No family should have to go through this, especially not after securing a reservation. For the safety and well-being of your loved ones, I urge you to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Terrible Experience – Stay Away from This Hotel!

Everything about this experience was absolutely horrible. Despite having a confirmed reservation, my family and I were denied a stay at the hotel in the middle of the night, leaving us stranded with my little kids and wife. The staff refused to provide a reasonable explanation for this, even after I showed them the confirmation number and booking details.

I had already paid the full price in advance, but the hotel still refused to accommodate us and instead directed us to an even worse hotel (The Brooklyn Hotel), which was in terrible condition. They assigned us a basement room that was dirty, had only one queen bed despite my request for two, and lacked basic amenities. My one-year-old baby was with us, and they didn’t provide a crib or show any care for our needs.

From start to finish, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff was unhelpful and dismissive, showing no concern for our situation. It was a nightmarish experience, and I strongly urge everyone to stay far away from this hotel. For the safety and well-being of yourself and your family, do not book here under any circumstances.

FAQs about Brooklyn hotels with Jacuzzi in room

What is the price range for hotels with a hot tub in the room in Brooklyn?

Rooms with private hot tubs or spa/jetted tubs in Brooklyn tend to start around US$160‑$200 per night for mid‑range hotels. More upscale or boutique properties can range from US$250 to US$350+, depending on how fancy the suite is, how central the location, views, and how high the demand is. Weekend nights are usually more expensive than weekdays. For a high‑end or luxury suite with premium amenities, prices can climb significantly above those ranges.

When is the best time to visit Brooklyn for a hotel stay with a hot tub in the room?

The best times to visit Brooklyn are during late spring (May through early June) and early fall (September through October). During these periods the weather is typically pleasant—not too hot, less humid—and crowd levels are lower which often results in better rates for nicer rooms. Summer (June through August) can be nice, but tends to be hotter, more humid, and also more expensive. Winter offers off‑peak rates and cozy indoor stays, though cold weather may limit your enjoyment outdoors.
