Cloudland at McLemore Resort was an absolute gem. The views alone are worth the trip. The property has a cozy, peaceful feel that makes it easy to unwind; and the food was excellent throughout our stay, especially considering the great value.
A special shout-out to Kindle at the bar—she was a highlight of our visit. Kindle and Nicole were both fantastic, friendly, and made us feel completely at home. In general, the whole staff was top notch.
The resort is a bit secluded, so plan to spend most of your time enjoying the property itself—but that’s part of the charm. There’s even a beautiful hiking trail right on site, which makes for a great workout.
This property is among my favorites in the US and a huge win for the Hilton portfolio. We can’t wait to come back.

This was a very impromptu trip that we planned for the New Year. We took a leap of faith and have truly enjoyed the much needed peace & relaxation. Great service all around from Ryan our valet driver to the amazing food and beverage supervisor. We were truly impressed by Ashley J. our waitress at The Croft on our very first night for dinner. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy & was enjoying our meal. Can’t thank her enough for the recommendations and also keeping us smiling. Nicole was a great bartender that kept us coming back for more great drinks, as well as Kindie. LeAnne made our visit to The Craig so memorable and we truly had the best views and service. Overall it was a such a lovely time to bring in the 2026 New Year. There were also many wonderful guest that met and had small talk with. I’m glad we made the decision to visit the resort. We look forward for a spring visit to enjoy the warm weather, golf course, and pool. 😊

Our stay at McLemore Resort on Lookout Mountain was excellent. The property is beautiful and well run.
We had a minor issue, which was handled professionally once addressed. LeAnn, the manager, was marvelous to work with and handled everything smoothly.
Both dining experiences were exceptional. Adam at Auld Alliance delivered great service, and the steaks were the best my husband and I have had. At Croft, Victoria was attentive, knowledgeable and kind. The food at both restaurants was impressive.
The facilities are beautiful, and the café provided a quiet, comfortable place to get important work done.
We look forward to returning next year and hope to see everyone again, especially LeAnn (there are two, haha). We also hope to run into Brandon (or Matthew… still not quite sure which one it is. Just kidding).
A quick thank you as well to Tiffany in housekeeping for being kind and professional when we both accidentally scared the life out of each other.

Cloudland at McLemore is absolutely exceptional. We had lunch at The Creag, the mountaintop restaurant above the property, and it was fantastic. The food was outstanding—the smoked trout dip did not disappoint, and the beef mushroom soup was so good I could happily have it every week. The views alone are worth the trip.
After lunch, we wandered over to the hotel to explore the property, and everything exceeded expectations. The holiday décor is beautiful and creates such a warm, festive atmosphere. They also host great seasonal events like brunch with Santa, which makes the resort feel even more special this time of year.
Cloudland’s amenities are top-notch: a 94-degree heated pool, a relaxing hot tub, two stunning golf courses, and four restaurants across the resort, each offering something different. The free valet service is a wonderful touch and made our visit seamless. And the mountain views all around? Truly breathtaking.
Whether you’re stopping in for a great meal, exploring the hotel, or planning a full getaway, Cloudland at McLemore delivers an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!

We stayed at The Cloudland for our anniversary and it was truly amazing.
The hotel is stunning, it feels warm and elegant with the tall windows, stone fireplace, and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and every corner of the property feels thoughtfully designed. The views from the terrace are incredible, and even on a foggy morning the place looked magical. There are also plenty of cozy spots to sit, read, or just relax.
Meeting Santa and Mrs. Claus in the lobby was a fun surprise and added to the whole experience.

This was absolutely the worst experience of our lives. We were snowed in, which made the issues even more difficult to deal with. When we arrived, our cottage had not been properly cleaned. There was a visible stain on the corner of the couch and floor that appeared to be pet urine, and the dishwasher was full of dishes that had not been put away.
The most upsetting experience occurred at the downstairs bar. The bartender, Bob, served my husband two double Crown Royal drinks with ginger ale. When my husband requested another drink, he was told he was cut off. At no point was he behaving inappropriately or appearing intoxicated.
I went upstairs to the other bar and was told it was closed, then went to the front desk to speak with a manager. I was informed that no manager was on site due to the weather. I asked that the manager be contacted so I could speak with her by phone, as I had receipts in hand proving our drink purchases. Despite this, the staff stated they were standing by the bartender’s discretion and upheld his actions without review.
Given the condition of the cottages, the lack of management availability, and how this situation was handled, this stay was extremely disappointing

We had a nice stay with our family while we were in town for a funeral. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. I don’t think we ever walked past a staff member who did not make eye contact with us and speak to us. We met Gloria near the game room and she was so pleasant to talk with and helped our boys with a clue for scavenger hunt and gave them word searches to do on the ride home. We loved the cozy fireplace and relaxing atmosphere. Our family enjoyed working on puzzles together in the lobby and playing pool. We hope to come back again soon!

We ate at the dining hall and had a wonderful experience. Buffet style with so many choices of good food. Salmon, prime rib, oysters on the half shell, etc. And desserts to die for! And Lennae (sp?) our server was excellent. Thank you for a great dining experience!

Our visit to Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa exceeded all expectations. The staff was attentive, friendly, and engaging. We visited after Christmas! The decorations were delightful and warm.
I would highly recommend the weekend dinner buffets! They did not disappoint. The bread pudding was divine!
We are already planning a girls' trip for next year!

We went for a wedding, so I am only reviewing the hotel.
The main entry hall is beautiful and has a great rustic feel. The views from the deck are spectacular especially in the fall.
The rooms are a little dated but clean and everything was in good shape, but they could use some modernizing.
We wanted to take a selfie to capture the beautiful view and one of the gentlemen who works for the golf course helped us out and told us all about the resort. He definitely really likes working there.
The pavilion where the wedding was held is beautiful and the food was very good.
We ate breakfast the next morning in the main dining room and it was pretty good, but any options other than what was on the buffet was very limited. It was pretty pricey for basic breakfast food, but it's a resort, so I expected that.
