Staying here for 2 weeks. Hotel is being remodeled terribly by Henry construction (Maryland plates and not listed on google). Our room has paint on ironing board and door handles. Still has drywall dust on refrigerator and light fixtures. Room phone does not work, I called 12/28 and asked to be transferred to my room, and it went straight to voice-mail so i called back and told front desk clerk and got a rude "I can only transfer your call". Prompt and professional maintenance crew.

We stayed previously and were aware of the ongoing renovation project that's taking place. However, as a valued Hilton Honors member, In my opinion the contractors that are doing the work has this establishment looking a complete mess. They should be fired in my opinion! I've never seen this property look this bad in all the years since it opened. Paint on the floor in the rooms, hallways area and it appears that "someone " is using the back of the hotel as a dump for the all the material that they are throwing out. Please send your district manager up here to check on this place 🙏. It looks like something outta the ghetto. Stuff is everywhere!!!!

First, the good: the service of the front desk and breakfast staff was excellent. They were helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast itself was also good and the location of the hotel is easy to get to if you're staying in the Reading area.

We were notified that there were renovations in the hotel when booking, and when we arrived a note said it was limited to the hallways.

The bad: this was an awful room, there's no way to sugar coat it. Definitely the worst of any Hilton I've stayed in. It looked like it was possibly renovated already, and if so, they need to reconsider their contractors. If it hasn't been renovated, it's concerning that the room is still in use for customers from a quality standpoint. Hardware was haphazard in the closet (3m hooks, which I've never seen in a hotel closet for hanging things, were falling off the door). The trim was covered in paint all over the room. Even the headboard had paint on it. The sheets were stained, and the ceiling was sagging in the corner of the bedroom with extensive water damage and an odd smell. The heating unit in my room was encased in the wall with a metal cover that rattled each time it was turned on (luckily it wasn't too chilly of a night). I've stayed in this location before without these issues, and I'll be curious after the renovations are done the status of all the rooms.

This place seems to be pretty trashy. Halls a common areas are nasty, my room didn’t look like it was cleaned well at all, and no soap in either the shampoo or conditioner containers in the shower. No ice machines in the common areas and they expect use the ice machine in the refrigerators, but my last two rooms didn’t have ice machines. So if you plan on staying here, don’t plan on this hotel to provide ice or complimentary toiletries.

I called from driving 5 hours out of state. Due to the fact I was booking saje day I had a non refundable room. Over $250 the night stay. Which I was fine until I walked in and found out that the Hotel is currently under. They had workers with radios on plastering walls. Paint scattered all over the carpets the hallways were disgusting. I was just shocked and disturbed due to being a loyal Hilton honors member. At no point was I made aware before booking the hotel that this site was under major renovations. It was embarrassing to bring my mom here on her birthday. I felt so bad and she saw how disappointed I was she also felt bad for me. I reported it to the lady in the front desk and she said she was also embarrassed and didn’t know why the hotel was even accepting reservations under the major renovations. Truly a horrible experience. Also water was running so low I couldn’t even flush the toilet which was reported to management

How the front desk handled the situation was a complete disgrace not to mention violation of ADA regulations. As of December 9th 2023 my wife and I had booked a room at this location and upon arriving I went to check in with my wifes Id ready and was turned away that she has to do it. When attempting to check in and verify the room it was made known that there is a Service animal and Immediately jumped to oh we will have to change your room as it has to be a pet room and making sure she clarified that it is not an ESA multiple times she pressed for my wifes medical information when she was told that she is trained for medical alert and mandated that we fill out a pet affidavit and making the statement "It's not an oxygen tank it's still a pet" which clearly states on the form "Does not apply to service animals". She called the assistant manager to verify if we she would let us have the room we paid while claiming we didn't pay for one with a jetted tub and blaming us multiple times making sure to say "you picked the wrong room" and "you didn't book that". After the assistant manager said yes we could still have a jetted tub room she was refusing us access to the room we paid for while we were on the phone with our travel agency and they confirmed that we booked the room with a jetted tub in the lobby infront of her as well as called her and validated it. She was also fairly rude to the travel agency Cs rep. After walking outside for a second to address canceling and getting it refunded and returning as my wifes license was not given back and to get the managers info she was trying to look up info about the ADA to justify her pressing for my wifes medical information multiple times again. We had to continue stating that pressing for that as a business violates medical privacy rights and ADA. Only the business card was given with the hotel lobbies number and manager name with my wifes license.

I have a disability and require a service animal. I was discriminated against by front desk. "Deborah" I paid extra for a specific room and was refused my room. Front desk tried to force me into a different room then lied and said I never booked a room with a spa in it, even when I had priceline on speaker phone confirming my booking right infront of her. She was horrible and extremely rude to me. After speaking with priceline outside I had to go back in as she held onto my ID and she had the ada website pulled up asking the legal questions but then started asking more towards what disability I have, which is illegal. I would never ever ever recommend this hotel and will be contacting the ada and letting my service dog owners groups know to avoid.

Just to add she kept calling my service dog a pet and mocking me, and tried to force me to fill out paperwork for having a pet and kept saying she was a pet and not medical equipment.

Nice big clean rooms
However I am rating them 4 stars because the hot breakfast was barely warm
But it's a nice hotel with plenty of parking
Mike and Lily at the front desk were awesome

This hotel is listed as a 3 star, but that is not accurate. Maybe a 2 star. It’s been updated. Spacious room. Bed wasn’t bad breakfast had the usual fare. Spots on the bedspread, ugh. The bath towels were the thinnest and scratchiest I’ve ever had. Overall a decent place if they’d just fix those dang towels and replace stained bedspreads.

Clean and the breakfast had a good variety. We had some issues with the bathroom - toilet that wasnt draining and shower that was too tightly turned on. The staff was good about each issue even though it was past 8 in the night, they resolved both issues relatively quickly. It is a dog friendly location. The main foyer is under renovation so it looks a little crammed and dingy. But hopefully the renovations open that and the dining space a bit. Overall a decent nights stay if you are in the area.
